SAFE HOUSE

It's been three days since we arrived in the Dark Waters Pack territory. We were holed up in one of the hotels in the human part of the territory and we made sure not to leave any trace of our presence.

We even used fake names. The others in our group, casters, vampires, and a few fae were also staying in the same hotel. It made things easier for us to work together.

My brother had given me some extra cash so that we could book the entire floor, and then some more to bribe the hotel owner.

We had no intention of letting people find out about our intentions, so we simply posed ourselves as visiting wolves from another pack.

Luckily, Dark Waters was far enough from both the Silver Moon and Shadows Pack for any wolf to recognize me, Dennis, or Merrick.

The last time I had been here, I was too young for the pack members to recognize, and when I was older, Jason always left me behind at home.
