Chapter Eleven

The ringing of my phone snapped me from my thought, I quickly grabbed the phone and silence it hoping it did not disturb him from his sleep.

I let out a relieved sign when he only just stir before inhaling and exhaling quietly as he slept. I smiled at him before glaring at my phone for trying to disturb this moment.

I turned towards Freddi when I felt him stirred I held my breath when he streched his legs before slowly opening his eyes. 'There goes my moment.' I thought with a loud sign.

"Hey kiddo." I said sitting up straight.

He stretched again and let out a yawn before rubbing his hand to his eyes. "Good morning." He softly let out.

"Morning." I said. "Guess you enjoyed your sleep."

He smiled at me. "I sure did." He pouted then look down. "Sorry for barging into your room."

With a shrugged to my shoulder, I smiled at him. "You don't have to apologize... Infact i love waking up to your cute face."

He giggled sitting up straight and right into my arms. "I love you."

I wrapped my arms around him tightly before saying the word " I love you" back at him. He smiled then hopped out of bed.

"You look cute in your PJs." I stated with a soft giggle.

Freddi turned and glared at me. " I did not wear this." He said and gesture to his bunny pajamas. " To look cute." He continued.

I let out a snicker. "Noted." I said and got up from the bed. "Go take a shower." I told him before making my way to my bathroom.

I rinsed my face and got a towel to dry it off. I made my way downstairs.

I heard the sound of whistling coming from the kitchen and followed it to find Mum putting on an apron as she stirred the pot.

"Hi Mum." I said hugging her from behind. "When did you come back?"

"An hour or two." She said letting go of her big spoon and turned. "Did you miss me?" She asked her eyebrow raise.

"I do miss your trouble." I said with a smirk. " How is Charlotte?" I asked and moved back as she continued to stirred her pot of stew.

"She is fine." Mum said. "She misses you." She continued turning towards me .

"I miss her too." I mutter and relax on the kitchen counter as Mum search the cupboard.

"I know you must be hungry." Mum said and gave me a soft smile.

"Well...., I made spaghetti and meatballs yesterday night." I said moving from one leg to another.

Mum stared at me in shocked. " Good! Now you're acting like an other sister." She exclaimed happily. "Guess i was worried for no reason." She finished and turned back to the cupboard.

I kept quiet not knowing who to replied that or if i should replied. "Mum." I called breaking the silence.

She close the cupboard and turned to me. "Yes dear." She answered a Jar of pickles in her hand.

"Does Charlotte love her job?" I asked after some minute.

Mum watched me for some time before letting out a big grin." Do you know how long I've been waiting for you to ask this question?" She asked.

I stared at her in shock before shaking my head. "No." I answered.

"Well ... Too long." She said and moved to the kitchen stool. " Why did you decide to ask this question now?" She asked and plopped down on the stool.

I stared up the ceiling before finally facing her. " Dad told me something yesterday in his office and it had me confused." I said. " I had always thought Charlotte hated working in Dad's company and now i am being told otherwise." I continued with a sign.

"That's because you never did know who to read the mood." Mum said and jumped down from the stool towards her pot of stew." I think the person who can answer your question is Charlotte. So you need to talk to her." Mum continued as she dipped her spoon into the pot before putting small on her palm. " Hmmmm." She moaned. "Taste good."

I let out a sign. " Yeah i know. I just wanted to know what you thought and if indeed Charlotte is happy with her work before i can talk to her." I said.

"Here." Mum said moving spoon of stew to my mouth.

I opened my mouth."Wow... Delicious." My eyes shut as I moaned in delight. " Thanks." I said opening my eyes.

Mum let out a smile. " You are welcome." She said and cover her pot. " Now to answer your question. Charlotte is indeed happy with her job. But i know you won't be able to believe that." Mum said and sign. She placed her hands on my shoulder in a comforting manner. " But when i went to her place yesterday,she wouldn't stop telling me about her Job and with a smile on her face." She finished.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yeah." She answered with a smile. " But you can always go and talk to her she is your sister and you guys have always been close since you were small." Mum said. "Now please leave my kitchen you're disturbing me." She continued with a smile.

"Thanks Mum. I needed to hear that." I said laughing.

"You're welcome. Now go." She said.

I gave her a hug before I turned walking away from the kitchen and into the parlour. I plopped down on the couch with a sign,the TV remote in my hand.

Dad was still at his office and won't be coming back till the evening and Freddi has gone over to his friends place to play. So it was just me Mum and the guards outside.

I let out a sign and face the tele,a Telemundo series was playing. I decided to forget about everything for now and just enjoy my alone time. With that in mind, I focus on my series. My love for Telemundo knew no bound.

I let out a chuckle from a scene in the series. I felt the buzz of my phone in my pocket. I put my hand in my pocket removing the phone.

My face lit up when I saw Tiana name boldly written.

"Hi girl." I said after pressing the accept button.

"So if i did not call you, you won't call me." Tiana scolded at the other end.

"Sorry." I pouted though I knew she was unable to see me.

" So why didn't you answer my call in the morning?" She asked.

"My baby bro was sleeping and i did not want to disturb him." I said my head down.

"Freddi. How is he doing?" She asked happily.

"He is fine,he asked of you, he misses you." I said with a smile, happy for diverting the topic.

"Awnnn I miss him too." She said cheerfully. "Least i forget come to the diner."

"Okay, i will be there." I said.

"See you. Oh Zina is also coming." She continued.

"Us girls." I said and let out a laugh.

"Us girls." She yelled. " Zack is jealous."

I chuckled softly. " He told you?" I asked.

She sign. " He did. Says we are leaving him out."

I let out a sign."I feel him." I knew how fustrating it can be to be left out. "We will have to set a day for all of us to meet."

"Same here. Yeah i was thinking the same thing." She mumble. " Got to go. Bye."

"Bye." I said and hung up.

The door swung open. I let out a wide smile when I saw who walked in. I quickly type a message to Tiana telling her the time we would meet and pocket my phone.
