CHAPTER 7

MOORE POV

Now it has gotten to Jackson's attention about Klein. I want him to. Klein is a mystery to me as well, but somehow I know Jackson can help me. I know he's here for a mission and I know that he is not from the ruling royals. I, however is no longer a royal captain. I have resigned. I have this intention to serve the crown, not the one holding it. Its been two years since I have learned the truth. Now it is my intention to do what is supposed to be done. First, I need to figure out Klein's involvement. He is my closest clue.

The only known fact about him is that he is Rousse family's servant. Rumor has it that before the demise of this family, Leil Rousse, made a desperate action in order to plea their charges. He took a horse and set a journey along with a servant leaving his family aside at the time of their family's execution. This very servant was reported by Leil himself as someone who had betrayed their trust and plotted against their will. He decreed this servant to be transferred to the eighth. But this action was ignored. Her wife was killed right away claiming that she had rebelled at the time of arrest while their daughter was taken as a prisoner. However, her whereabouts now is unknown. Rumors also has it that she was abused and killed secretly or that she was made fun of the noble's children and made a target and died or that she was taken secretly by high officials as a slave. While Leil himself died during the pursuit. However, the servant with him, escaped. No one bothered to look for this servant because this very servant continued to journey to the eighth probably to preserve his life. That sevant's name is Klein.

Their family was accused of treason. No other information was given aside from this. There are rumors that this servant have been given an order against the royal family but failed.

With this information, you could probably said that there is a very probable scenario and should not be suspected. Well, except that Rousse family is a very refutable family, a close friend to the former king, and a very dignified family known for their loyalty and generosity. They are a humble family despite the fact that they are very influential and that they belong to high ranking nobles. But the present king have spare them no doubts, executing them right away in grounds of treason. The present king use the excuse that there should be no friend in the trial and ordered the fastest way of execution. This was considered highly honorable and I am one of those who have admired him for it. This was before I learned of the truth. The former king did not die of sickness. He had died due to poison. The thing that baffled me, is after the former King's death, the present King had pursued the Rousse family so ruthlessly. As a family closest to the former king, they must have hold something of value. Something that could be used against the present king but the only surviving one in their family is their servant, Klein.

SEAN'S POV

Unlike Clark, I know next to nothing about Klein. I don't even know what he looks like. But his background made me curious and the fact that Sir Thomas choose him with us means that he is also quite exceptional. I know because the other three I met is also exceptionally excellent.

Somehow, I feel like something big is going to happen and I also I have this ill feeling that my past is coming back to hunt me. What my father did at that time is very wrong. If there is a chance to rectify what my family have done, I will grab it. I will pay for my family's debt if need be. This is the right thing to do. The only thing that could rid me of my guilt. It looks like my time of peace is over.

KLEIN'S POV

I am in the middle of cooking for my lunch which is actually consisting heating the remaining foods that I ate yesterday when I heard a knock.

Putting my spoon aside, I walk to my door to open it and found Sir Thomas, exhaustion evident in his face.

"Come in Sir Thomas, I'll get you a water" I said and he reply me with a nod and relax himself on my couch.

After I bring him water, I let him relax and finished what I have been doing in the kitchen.

We ate in silence until our stomachs have been satisfied, I know what brings him here but I still ask anyway.

"I know you're not here for a simple visit Sir Thomas so what brings you here?" I asked.

"Still about my proposition to you Klein, I have ask four other to be Lady Jane's right hand but I have not been successful in convincing which brought me back to you. This is too important for the lady, Klein. I ask of you." Sir Thomas said pleadingly.

Today's actually a free day to me which is why I am at my home. Its been three days since my encounter with the lady. I must say, She has a fighting spirit to make it through what may come her way with what she put herself into. Still I hate her plans.

"I will go Sir Thomas", I said. It is her decision. I just wanted to repay Sir Thomas kindness

"Thank you so much Klein. You have no idea how this made me happy" Sir Thomas said joyously.

"There's no need to thank me Sir. No need". I replied.
