The blue light soared fast into Adriana's chest and she instantly felt lightheaded and unsteady. She fell to the ground, her knees collapsing beneath her but before she hit the ground, she was immediately hoisted right back up to her feet. Abaddon looked at her worriedly and used his preternatural sight to check for any poisonous thread in her. Luckily, she wasn't poisoned.
Her eyes wavered unfocused for a moment before zoning back on the arena. The serpent was no longer there but in its place was a dark burn mark on the sand, there was also no sign of the feral demon or the gryphon.
