DALFON

I woke up to the smell of freshly made black coffee and sunny-side up egg, my head hurt so bad, I looked up to see a different room, I was supposed to be engaged last night but I don't recall getting engaged, I looked at myself in the mirror I'm wearing the clothes from last night but it's torn, suddenly all the memories of last night flashed in mind, Amond, breakup, car, bar, drinks, drunk, stranger, passed out. I started panicking but I needed to know where I was, I slowly got up from the bed and walked over to the door, which I think is a door to the bathroom, I went inside washed my face, and walked out of the room, it seemed like a small cozy home, outside the bedroom door is the living room which is quite bigger than expected, on my right side is a hallway which I believe would let me into kitchen perhaps, I walked down the hallway into a huge dreamy kitchen, towards my right stands a man facing his back towards me I believe he is cooking something, to my left it's the dining hall, all I know is this man is rich, and I know nothing else, there is no picture of him or his family in the entire house, but judging by his back this guy loves the gym, I went towards the dining table and pulled out a chair and sat down, due to the screeching sound the chair made, he was now aware of my presence, I mean it's not like I was trying to be sneaky it's just I'm quite embarrassed and awkward.

"You are awake Ms. Moonshadow," he said while he turned towards me, my world stopped again for the second time in my life, have I not seen someone this gorgeous, he has the prettiest hazel eyes I have ever seen in the entire life, with a body like a Greek God, his hairs are messy as if he just woke up, he slightly smirked, a cute dimple popped up on his right cheek, 

"Like what you see, Spring?" he said, making me come back to my senses, I fake coughed and said, 

"How would you address yourself, my dear?" I asked trying to sound a bit cold, 

"Woah! What an attitude for someone who saved you from getting humiliated... Anyways I would address myself as Dalfon, I'm Dalfon Vanderbilt, your not-anymore fiancé's boss, owner and CEO of Blackgold, it was nice meeting you," he said, as if it was nothing, he tossed over a plate full of food he just cooked, eggs, bacon, toast, I stared at him blankly and said,

"Why did you bring me here last night?" I don't know why I would ask him that instead of thanking him but you can't take back what you said now,

"I would have saved that question for later and asked how you know me first," he said while sipping his black coffee,

"How do you know me?" I asked as I dug my fork into the sausage and took a bite,

"Well, I have known you longer than your ex-boyfriend, it's just you were too busy paying attention to him" I got confused what did he mean by that so I asked,

"Can you elaborate on it, please? I have a hard time understanding" I said with a fake smile,

"Well, you remember a boy in middle school who everyone called all-in-one? he was me, that stupid kid nicknamed me all-in-one because I was always good in everything I did"

 "What a brag, aren't you?" I sighed while giving him a side-eye,

"Oh, I'm a brag? let me remind you I saved your ass last night, and if you are done eating then follow me, we have something to do" he said and went towards the room opposite to where I slept, I scoffed at his audacity of him to order me around but what can I do he saved me last night, I sighed getting up from the chair, and I took my now-empty-plate and his empty cup of coffee towards the sink and started washing them. As I was washing the dishes a deep voice behind me stopped me,

"What do you think you are doing, Spring?" I turned around to see Dalfon all dressed up,

"Umm... washing the dishes can't you see?" I said while nervously giggling, he walked over to me, his eyes never leaving mine, and he slowly walked over as I quickly wiped my hand in the towel by the sink, he looked so serious I wondered if I did anything wrong, 

"Do you not want me to-" my words cut off as I got startled by him placing both of his hands firmly on either side of the sink behind me, totally trapping me between him and the damn sink, I stared at him, scared, I was about to say something until he started to laugh out loudly while holding his stomach, I looked at him annoyed and I asked,

"What is so funny that you are laughing so loudly?" 

"You," he said while laughing, by this time I was super annoyed but I don't know why, I hated his dimple popping up every time he made fun of me, I couldn't take it so I ran off to the room I waked up in and went straight to the bathroom, I washed my face and looked at myself in the mirror, I look okay but not my hair so I went out to the room my belongings were kept at the sofa near the window I took out my claw clip from my purse and tied my hair in a bun, I checked my phone to my surprise no missed calls, I guess my parents learned to give me some time to heal, I'm still not over with how he broke of our engagement without giving me prior notice, and he kept saying he found the love of his life, just him saying that I believe he cheated on me not sure but I think he did, how could he I loved him so much, he could've told me before we went in a serious relationship, I just can't, am I that bad of a person that no one can love me? tears flooded my eyes, my thoughts got distracted by a knock on the door,

"Come in," I said while sitting on the sofa,

"Did you cry? I'm so sorry I didn't mean to hurt you like that I was just kidding" Dalfon said softly while worrying about me, he wiped off my tears with his thumbs,

"Dalfon, I'm not crying because of you, it's just I was thinking why would Amond break off our engagement like that, I was so in love with him and he just-" I couldn't even finish the sentence the tears just kept flooding,

"It's ok I understand now get up we are going somewhere to make sure he regrets breaking up with you," he said after wiping my tears he got up and patted my head, and left the room, maybe he is not an asshole I thought he was after all, I got up applied loose powder on my face and a bit of lip gloss and left to go somewhere I don't know.
