Chapter 5

Christabel's pov

If only he knows what he's touching.

"You aren't even tall. Short just like your sister."

He moved closer to me again and I repeated my action earlier. Stepping back.

My back touched the wall. I stared at his green eyes filled with the emotions I can't explain.

"Are you afraid of me?" He suddenly asked.

"Why...why would be afraid of you? I guess I should. You're a prince." I bit my lip.

"Whatever! I need to take a nap." I walked back to his bed and rolled the duvet on his body.

I sighed seeing him close his eyes. I walked slowly, taking a look at him. I didn't know when my legs carried me to him.

I bent down in front of him and stared more at him.

'What if he isn't asleep?' My subconscious told me.

That's true. Am sure he isn't a deep sleeper.

"Are you gay?" His voice stopped me just when I was about to stand up.

"No, am not. I just...just saw something on your face." I stuttered and finally stood up.

"My face?" His eyes went opened.

"Hmm....no, it's no more there again." I hurriedly walked to my room.

I sighed and jumped on my bed. My phone rang from afar but I was just too lazy you stand up again.

I looked at the phone with a frown. I stretched my hand towards the where the phone is.

I moved my hand up and the phone went up too.

Smiling at what I was doing. Then, I made it come close and landed on my bed.

I sighed again and stared at the number calling me. It was mom's.

"Mom?" I called.

"Baby! How have you been?" She squeaked.

"Mom, have not been fine." I pouted.

"Not really easy to pretend." I whispered.

"Oh Christabel, you should try to endure it. It just for a little time. Am sure you're using your powers already." I could picture the smile on her face.

"Wait! You've started reading the book I gave you?" She asked.

Oh!

That huge book.

"I guess I forgot it at home." I answered.

"What? Christabel! Am gonna check your room. If i see that the book is in your room, am not gonna pick your call neither am I gonna call you for three days." She threatened.

"Dad is gonna call me anyway." I grinned.

"Whatever! But am gonna do what I said." She said.

"I will miss you" I pouted out my lips again.

"You're missing me already? That means you forgot the book at home." I heard her sigh.

"I forgot"

"Good"

"Mom, are you really serious? That you're not gonna call me or even pick my calls for three days?"

"Yeah. Am damn serious. I need to check it. Bye red tomato." Mom hung up.

Oh really Christabel! You didn't bring the book along.

And there's no way she's gonna come give me until visiting day.

Argh! I really hate boarding school. I swear.

I dropped the phone but it beeped again.

'You should tell me what's going on between you and the prince?' I read the text message. From Natasha.

'Nothing is going on between us okay?' I replied back.

"Did he know you're a girl?'

'Wait! Am sure you're gonna see his handsome face everyday.' The messages came In so fast.

I sighed and answered the first question.

'You don't expect him to know that I'm a girl.'

'Am gonna be dead. Just need to f*cking do this mission of saving him or whatever and get out'

Then the second reply, ' I'm his partner. I stay in his room'

"Oh Christabel! I wish I was the one who has this mission. I would have kissed him a long time ago. I don't care if he's going to call me gay" Natasha responded and I shook my head with a smile plastered on my face.

"Natasha, where is Nancy?" I tried to change the topic. But I know who am chatting with. I know Natasha.

"Silly you! You're trying to change the topic. So, tell me you're crushing on the prince? And, Nancy is here with me. Reading the chats." She sent a grinning emoji.

I know they will be together. But they are from different parents.

"I know she's gonna be with you."

"Am not crushing on him. But, I accept the fact that he's handsome. He's weird sometimes. He can be angry, next minute, he will be smiling like a devil."

"He has mood swings? Hmm.... I gotta go now. Mom needs my attention. Bye."

"We gonna chat another time or I might call you. Nancy is sending her regards."

I smiled and dropped my phone. I closed my eyes expecting some sleep to come but it isn't coming.

I decided to play music on my phone. I got down from the bed and began dancing.

I started twerking and then I glanced at the mirror and saw not only but someone.

The prince!

F*ck!

I gulped so many times. Blinking my eyes like a doll.

What am I gonna do? What am i gonna say to him?

"You twerk?" He arched his brow and my heart skipped many times as he stepped closer to me.

I didn't know what to say. Instead, I shook my head.

"My sister taught me." I replied with a smile. A fake smile. A nervous one at that.

"Hmm......am beginning to suspect you."

"Suspect? There's no skeleton in my cupboard."

He ignored my answer and stepped closer to me. He touched my face and patted my cheek.

"You can teach me how to twerk" He smirked and sat down on my bed with his legs crossed.

I stared at him. He wants to learn how to twerk? I laughed inwardly.

"You can't know how to twerk cause you're a man." I blurted out.

Jeez!

"So, are you a girl?" He asked me but I shook my almost immediately.

Oh Christabel! You will soon put your self in trouble.

"No. I mean, you're a prince and you Can't do what........." I ran out of words.

I bit my inner cheeks. I walked to my phone and turned the music off.

"Who asked you to?" He snarled.

"Hmm.....I ain't dancing again. My back hurts." I lied tapping my feet on the floor repeatedly.

"Well, I don't care. You shouldn't have danced in the first place. Your sister must have impart you with some girlish stuffs into your life."

"Now, start dancing!" He ordered.

No one should tell me am in a big trouble cause I already kmow that.

You can't expect me to dance in front of the crowned prince.

What would he think of me? A gay? A transgender?

I immediately fell to the ground and groaned.

"My back! My prince! Please don't let me dance." I pleaded.

It gonna look awkward dancing in front of him.

"But you were dancing few minutes ago. Why the sudden pain?" He tilted his head and stood up from my bed.

He walked to me and rubbed my hair then whispered.

"Next time. What's your name?" He questioned.

"Chris. That's my name." My reply was sharp.

Christabel, just do anything to make him believe you're a boy.

Don't ruin this with your stupidness.

He left my room while I crawled to my bed and slept off finally.
