Chapter 22
These strange looking people who Luna realized were vampires just welcomed her with open arms, without thinking. Luck or whatever one could call it, Luna decided to go along with it.
"I need your help" she uttered softly.
"Whose?" one of them bluntly asked.
"Everyone of you. Look, I think my friends are in trouble. I'm from a high school you must have heard of, Hampton High. We came here camping, met Mr. Roberto the camp counsellor, embarked on treasure hunting and..." she paused, as the boss of them wanted to speak.
"Mr. Roberto" He laughs his ass out
Everyone follows after him, giggling and laughing so loudly.
(Just what I thought. I'm asking help from a bunch of weirdos) Luna thought.
"We're sorry. I mean we didn't mean to laugh. But the dude is no camp counsellor. About your friends who you think are in trouble are in no doubt, deep shit full of trouble. Their lives are even in danger" The boss vamp revealed.
Luna gasped, at the same time, felt happy she was finally getting answers.
"Yeah, every year, Mr. Roberto as you called him, puts up the camp counsellor act, lures students into his trap" another vamp. said
Luna went to have a seat beside a vampire, and listened with rapt attention.
"Listen, newbie. Moore's Creek is a horrible place. Mr. Roberto dude, isn't who you think he is" the boss vamp. stated clearly.
"I know that. What trap was he talking about tho?"
"Ohh that. Roberto throws an annual feast for his vampires, where he serves them a bunch of humans for them to feed on. And not just any kind of feeding, its popularly known as draining"
"Holy cow! I...we...yo...Tristin...no no...Aidan and the others. Shit, we have to stop him" Luna cried.
The vampires took a peep at each other in communication.
"We can't. I mean we don't. We normally leave them to their thing, while we do ours. They don't fuck with us, and we do the same. That's how its been ever since" one of them spoke up.
Luna stood up, and walked about, panicking.
"No not this time. It has to be different this time. You called me your family right? Prove it. We are having a party tomorrow, and I'm certain that is the feast y'all talked about, where humans get drained off"
"You don't get it newbie, do you?" Boss vamp asked.
"Actually I don't give a fuck about your traditions or whatever. We must stop them"
The vampires whispered among themselves, one of them was all like, "She's tough" and the other replied, "I know, right? But we can't go up against them, although..."
The vamp. stood up, glancing at everyone, in attempt to get everyone's attention.
"We've been quiet for decades watching Roberto take these humans to be drained off in paradise, leaving nothing for us. I think it's time we fuck with them" the vamp. said
"Are you nuts? These are original vampires, thrice as strong as a regular vampire. We stand no chance" the boss vamp. reminded
Luna couldn't let her one shot at convincing these vampires slip away that easily. If one of these vampires could think of stopping them, she could get all to think the same.
"Yo, listen up everyone. Who cares if they are original vampires. We got this, team. Let's show these cockholes hell" Luna blurted.
"Ha ha. You have no idea how strong an original vampire is. They could fuck you up real good, newbie. Even if we do decide to go up against them, how do we do that?" Boss vamp.asked
"We have no idea how to kill an original vampire, but we do know how to kill Roberto" The vamp standing informed Luna.
"That's it guys. We take out Roberto, it's game over. We win!" Luna cheered.
Boss vamp gets mused up, considering Luna's plead.
"We actually might be able to fuck with them after all. Roberto isn't an original vampire, but is strong and powerful as hell. He's got the powers of a vampire and a bunch other perks up his sleeve. Although, a very irregular, rare metal would end him" Boss vamp explained.
"Yes! We are going up against the originals!" Luna jumped in excitement.
"Not so fast newbie. We have to take a vote first"
Everyone nodded at each other, in communication.
"Its about damn time" a vamp bellowed.
"Yeah, we should have done this a long time ago"
"These asses aren't going to take drain off these humans leaving nothing for us"
They all made points, in support of going against Mr. Roberto and his original vampires.
"Good thing! So what's the plan?"
A vamp. brought a map out.
"We need to get the metal first. It's rare, can only be seen in this part of the world" He pointed with his hands.
"So how do we get there?" Luna inquired.
"You both will handle that. The feast is in 24 hours. We don't have much time left. Run with your best speed, get the metal, and get to us in paradise. Make sure you bring it in time" Boss vamp commanded.
"Sure thing" the both vamps uniformly said, getting to their feet, speeding off.
"So, what's next?"
"We wait. In a couple of hours people, we head for paradise"
Everyone nodded in agreement.
"Now, y'all go get some blood, and some rest too, coz we're doing this!" Boss vamp. continued.
Luna's ears twitched as she heard the word blood. She walked to the boss vamp, almost salivating.
"About that, how do y'all feed?"
"Ohh, we do it real good. You students who come camping love the woods. Some of them come here at night to make out, drink, or do drugs. We feed from them, but we don't kill them. We only take moderate amount of blood, and compel them to forget after. Pretty awesome, uhh?"
"Damn right it is! I need to feed too, you know"
"Oh good thing we have some bottles of blood in that bag"
"I want fresh blood man" Luna demanded.
"You shouldn't. You're a newbie, newbies don't always have control. You going to get someone killed, if you feed directly from a human"
Luna's face got filled with disappointment. She had to listen to the boss though.
"Great. I get to feed from leftovers while the others drink the fresh stuff"
