Adrienne decided to dress casually, opting for a comfortable sweatshirt and denim pants. She didn't bother with any makeup, as she simply wasn't in the mood. However, she did apply a coat of lip gloss to complete her minimalistic look. Slipping on a pair of sandals, she grabbed her phone and made her way down the stairs.

"Hey, good morning," Lisa greeted Adrienne, her voice filled with curiosity.

Adrienne offered a quick smile in response, not pausing her steps.

"Oh, hi."

"Are you heading out for a walk?"

Adrienne shook her head.

"I'm going to break up with Ryan. Wish me luck."

Lisa's brows shot up in surprise. "That quick?"

"Yup," Adrienne shrugged, feigning nonchalance.

Sensing that something was off, Lisa asked,

"You seem so cool about it. Are you okay?"

Adrienne maintained her facade of indifference. "Yup."

"Are you sure? Maybe you should ask for an explanation before ending things so abruptly. This could just be fake news, you know," Lisa persisted.
