*Morpheus pov*

"Good, now that you all know the proper procedure for lighting herbs and plants we will start every class with a random student performing the action," I applauded with a small smile

Seeing someone raise their hand I called out, "Yes, Ms. Black?" I asked while putting away some of the herbs

"Professor, if we use this spell every class wouldn't we grow resistant to the herb?" she asked

I chuckled shaking my head in response, "Good question, for those who do not know our body's immune system can naturally build up resistance to things. For example, in Muggle pain medicine, if you take some every day eventually the effect wouldn't be the same. But, wizards don't build up this resistance to potions why is that? It's our magic. Magic is more active than you would think, it will naturally see the benefits of what is happening and not build up this immunity," I explained

Thinking for a bit I shrugged, "Anyway what I meant by every class was only the classes when we are doing divination spells so if you are concerned you will start to feel less of the effects even if by placebo you will not,"

These spells would be unusable by me if that were the case, I do use them quite often.

Narcissa who was taking notes nodded enthusiastically, "Thank you, professor,"

Seeing no one had any more questions I decided to continue, "Now that you have a clear grasp of the enhancement spell I will direct the next classes over practical use. For example, one divination spell you can use involves the Artemisia species of herbs. Using the correct incantation you can use the smoke to create a picture of an upcoming challenge you will face. The more clear and concise you are the more clear the image created by the smoke,"

Seeing them taking notes I smiled, "This, is where we truly step into the realm of divination. If you can understand the basics of what I will teach in the upcoming classes a powerful and versatile tool will be added to your arsenal," seeing class was over I decided to wrap it up

"Today I had all of you perform the incantation and burn the herb. No one failed which means you are learning. I will be teaching you step-by-step how to perform everything but, and I cannot stress this enough self-study is truly what sets aside a divination master to a novice. You need to understand yourself before you can understand the future, I wish you all success," I clapped clearing the think veil of smoke in the air

"Have a nice rest of your day, don't forget to study," I said as the students exited the classroom

I walked through the hallways it was dinner and the dueling club professors were meeting together to discuss strategy.

Nearing the room where the meeting was taking place I spotted Severus Snape with a paper in hand. Seemingly debating over what he should do with it.

"Severus, can I help you with something?" I asked while walking closer

He seemed to be startled at my presence, "No professor, I was just heading to the great hall," he replied with some hesitance

Waving my hand the paper in his grasp flew to my palm, looking over the paper I saw it was a dueling tryout registration.

Severus scowled, "Please give that back professor," he said calmly but I could see a tint of anger in his eyes

I shrugged, "I think I will be turning this in for you Severus," I replied with a small smile

"But I changed my mind and I don't want to try out," Severus said heatedly

The future I saw of the exchange between Hogwarts and Durmstrang didn't include Severus participating. Which means he ended up not applying. The version of the future I saw was one of me not telling the professors about shield spells, I didn't come to this meeting in that future.

I laughed, "That is a shame Severus because I will turn this in for you," I turned around and started to walk away

Blinking I smirked my back was turned to him and I could feel his fury, "Severus, if you want to stop stuff like this from happening in the future just become stronger, I wish you luck, and during the tryouts, you better try I expect great things from you," I turned and met his widened eyes

Shaking my head I left him as I entered the room, "I apologize for interrupting," I said to the present professors

Abara waved his hand in dismissal, "You are hardly interrupting come in," the others nodded in agreement

I passed the paper I took from Severus to Abara, "I ran into a student who wanted to apply in the hall," he took the paper with a giant smile

"It seems a lot of students are enthusiastic about the upcoming duels," Abara said practically glowing in pride

"Morpheus, did you have something to tell us," the stern Professor Yowie said while massaging his temple

I shrugged, "I did, but you all seem stressed?" I asked sitting down

Filius sighed, "We can't seem to figure out how we stand a chance against a school like Durmstrang they have had an active dueling club for quite some time," he said shaking his head

I nodded, "I thought that was the case, luckily you have me," I laughed while taking some of the food from the center table

Professor Yowie hearing me seemed to instantly become less stressed, "Did you see something?" be asked hurridly

Abara laughed, "Of course, he did Morpheus isn't a master of divination for nothing. Tell us this full-proof strategy," his confidence in me was appreciated but I didn't have some grand scheme here

I shrugged, "I have to admit I was curious and took a little peak, what I saw was disheartening, to say the least," sighing I shook my head, "But not unsalvageable,"

Filius nodded, "What did you see?" he asked

"I'm sure you know what they will be facing Filius. You have dueled against former students of Durmstrang after all," I replied

Filius sighed, "Of course but, I'm a half-goblin the way I duel is fundamentally different so my solutions cannot be used for the students,"

I nodded, "I see. Shield spells,"

"What?" Abara asked confused

"Shield spells, Durmstrang teaches a very rapid and attack-heavy style of magic. They will overwhelm our students, the Protego spell will help but not fix the issue. The Protego is a neutral shield, many other shield spells can help the students create time to counterattack," I explained

Yowie nodded, "I see, I will teach some spell variations then for my regular classes, and in dueling we can discuss the practical and give examples,"

"I suggest you do that, I also think putting the students under pressure as the Durmstang students will would be beneficial," I added

"Then it's decided," Abara clapped his hands together, "We will concentrate on the shield spell variations and proper ways to counterattack an aggressive opponent,"

I nodded, "Goodluck to you all, I look forward to Hogwarts pulling away with the victory,"
