Cornelius Fudge did not immediately answer Dumbledore's question. The minister of magic gestured for Dumbledore to take a seat. After the headmaster was seated, Fudge replied.
"Look Albus," he said. His tone was no longer aggressive but now he was speaking as a friend. "While Dementors would be there, they cannot roam Hogwarts' castle. An auror on ground would be added layer of protection."
He continued, "What happened last year has already tarnished the school's reputation. Although the news was suppressed to reach the common folks those involved with the ministry know about it and they want something to be done to counter this Sirius threat."
"We must be seen doing something," said the minister. Though his voice was now gentle, the firmness in his voice made it clear that the decision had been made.
"And who are you sending?" Dumbledore asked. "I won't tolerate a political person in my Hogwarts." Even if Dumbledore had agreed, he could not allow anyone to stay inside Hogwarts.
Fudge shook his head, "Antonio Olario."
"Totally away from politics," continued the minister. "Has stayed out of Britain for most of his life. No political interest."
Albus Dumbledore fell into contemplation. He could place a face to that name. And he had also heard about when Antonio Olario had returned from Britain and taken up the position of Lord Olario.
"Although not a very powerful wizard, he would do the job," said Fudge.
Albus nodded in agreement. This was the best he could get for now without playing too much of his cards.
"While being in Hogwarts, Lord Olario will see that he follows the rules and regulation of Hogwarts. His freedom and restrictions would be subjected to what a professor at Hogwarts is subjected too."
Fudge smiled wildly at Dumbledore's agreement, "Very well."

After Antonio bought his wand, he bought few other things. He was preparing for his journey to Hogwarts.
Currently the year was 1993. It the last week of August and Hogwarts' new session and Harry's third year would begin shortly in few days.
Now that Antonio had transmigrated into this new world, he had two options before him.
First was to continue living the same old life as an auror and let the events unfold as per the canon. But sadly, his adrenaline and thrill seeking soul could not sit ideal and silent missing out the adventure especially so when he now had so much power at his disposal.
It was inevitable for him to choose the second option. Which was to get himself involved in things. To get himself involved in the life of Harry Potter. There were many things that Antonio as reader and viewer of Harry Potter had wanted to change.
He had wanted to unravel the mysteries surrounding Dumbledore and all the other controversial figure.
To get himself intrude into Hogwarts was a big task. Being selected as professor was the only viable option but that was also practically impossible. There was no position vacant as Remus Lupin had already been selected for Defence against Dark Arts and he doubted that Dumbledore would be willing to keep him.
So as to succeed in his goal, Antonio devised a little scheme. A generous use of the imperious curse and few curses that tinkled with one's thoughts was done on few officials in the ministry.
The idea that an auror in Hogwarts was necessary to counter the threat of Sirius was circulated among the ministry officials and everyone seemed to readily agree to the idea.
The question then arose- which auror? Again, the idea which was circulated was that someone with no political affiliations and leanings and a person with clean image should be the choice.
And one name- Antonio Olario fitted all the requirements. Hence his name was finalised for the job.

(POV Harry Potter)
He had been cramped in this small inn room for the past few days. And these few days had been worse days of his life.
Firstly, he caused Marjorie Dursleys to inflate and float after she had insulted her parents. He wished for things to remain calm while remained at Diagon Alley but he should have known his luck.
He was almost locked inside his inn room. Though in the brieft meeting with the minister, the man had not given much information, Harry could feel that something was amiss. Tom, the barman of the Leaky Cauldron was being extra cautious and Harry could feel that Tom was keeping a watch on him.
He groaned in frustration as he looked at the newly created mess in the room as his eyes wandered at the new book of Care of Magical Creatures. He had been appalled to know that Hagrid had been appointed as COMC professor but then knowing his nature, Harry should had expected nothing less from that book.
A small smile spread across Harry's face as he thought of the big man.
One more day in this room and he would finally return to Hogwarts. It was not as if Hogwarts was completely safe or calm.
The likes of Draco Malfoy and then the sudden dangers like his DADA professors or a Basilisk or Voldemort's wraith emerged from time to time, he felt a bit comfortable at Hogwarts.
