A story of a wizard using his wisdom and power to ascend to the pinnacle of the world, who will do anything to protect his new family. This is a little slow paced and also somewhat slice of life story so keep that in mind, that focuses more on Alaric's relationship. There will be heavy changes to the original plot so be aware and also MC becomes overpowered rather quickly as the story moves forward and he won't hesitate to take some drastic measures if necessary, so he won't have a moral compass. Chapter 147: Accusing the Ministry of Magic

The next scene was Alaric confronting more than twenty Aurors.

Under the watchful eyes of the Wizengamot, Alaric subdued all the enemies at the beginning bare-handed, stunning everyone with his innovative self-created spells and exquisite skills.

It wasn't until Alaric entered the elevator that this memory came to an end, freezing the scene.

A moment of spatial shifting ensued, and then they found themselves back in the courtroom, with the tea and snacks still quietly placed on the table.

Silence fell over the room as everyone remained immersed in the shocking scene just witnessed until a witch spoke up.

"Was that... time accelerated just now?" she excitedly asked Alaric, brimming with enthusiasm.

Her words seemed to ignite a fire, and the courtroom immediately erupted.

"Such a splendid control over magic, this level is bound to win in a duel competition."

"Was that a wide-range Levitation Charm? How can it be manipulated like that?"

"Using the Disillusionment Charm in such a way? Isn't he afraid of accidents?"

There were also accusations against the Ministry of Magic.

"What's going on with Cornelius?"

"Dozens of Aurors were defeated so quickly."

"Casting curses on underage wizards!"

"The Ministry of Magic does need to be reformed!"

"Shifting their responsibility onto others..."

These words were like arrows piercing Cornelius Fudge's heart one by one.

At this moment, his face was pale, speechless. He understood that all his schemes and conspiracies had not only been in vain but had become weapons for others to attack him.

*Cough—*

Alaric cleared his throat, and the courtroom instantly quieted down.

"So, Mr. Cornelius Fudge," Alaric spoke up, "do you have anything else to say now? Do you still think my words are lies?"

"These... um... these are all your fantasies," Fudge said, sweating profusely, "yes, it's all just your imagination.

Why would the Ministry's employees confiscate your wand and alchemical tools illegally?

They are all very law-abiding people, especially Dolores Umbridge.

She wouldn't do anything against the Ministry's rules, especially something that would cause gossip, unless she's gone mad.

But the possibility is very small, even Bagman wouldn't bet on—"

"Oh, I don't think any of us would believe that what they did was a coincidence," Alaric said calmly and slowly.

"What do you mean by that?" Fudge asked, wiping his sweat.

"It means I believe someone ordered them to do it," Alaric said.

"I think, if someone ordered Umbridge to confiscate a wizard's personal belongings, the Ministry would have a record of it!" Fudge yelled.

"If she accepted a private order from someone in the Ministry, then maybe not," Alaric said calmly, "my meaning is quite clear, Cornelius."

"W-what, you mean..." Fudge looked at Alaric in disbelief.

"Yes, I believe that she accepted your instructions to do this, didn't she?" Alaric pressed.

"N-no... I..."

"You made her trouble me just so I couldn't respond correctly during the trial, didn't you?"

"T-this... I... this."

"Your purpose was to substantiate my charges and demonstrate your authority, wasn't it?"

"Y-you... he..."

"Maybe you even support some pure-blood extremists, wanting to promote pure-blood supremacy by crushing me, right?"

"T-this... no! I didn't think that way," Alaric hit the nail on the head with Fudge's plan and his inner thoughts.

Cornelius Fudge was almost collapsing, "this wasn't my decision... this was... this was Umbridge's personal action! Yes, it was her personal action."

"Oh, personal action," Alaric looked coldly at Fudge, realizing that this man had only this level of capability.

After using Umbridge to scapegoat himself and Dumbledore, he then threw Umbridge under the bus to save his own position, making her a scapegoat for him.

But that was okay. For Alaric, such behavior of Fudge was no problem.

Having betrayed his most trusted and closest subordinates as a leader, who else would be willing to work for him?

And with his ineffective control over the Dementors and today's poor performance—even failing to catch Sirius Black—it was practically certain that he would be ousted from the position of Minister for Magic.

But let's not talk about that for now. Alaric was ready to deliver his final blow.

"I just said it," Alaric said, "I came here to demand an explanation from the Ministry of Magic about the Dementor attack on Hogwarts.

Blut now, considering what you just witnessed, the Ministry's employees have subjected me to a series of troubles and insults. So, give me your answer."

Alaric, in his personal capacity, openly threatened the Wizengamot for a judgment.

This was indeed a great insult to the Wizengamot, but due to Alaric's recent demonstration of power, the entire Wizengamot had to yield to his momentum and provide him with an explanation through the Ministry's approval process.

The wizards in the courtroom were silent, unsure of how to respond to Alaric's demand. Finally, it was Madam Bones who stood up again.

"So, let's move on to the new topic now, shall we?

Alaric accuses the Ministry of Magic of making mistakes, leading to the Dementor's uncontrolled invasion of Hogwarts, which nearly caused significant harm. Is this accusation correct?"

She looked at Alaric as she finished speaking.

Alaric smiled at her and nodded.

"No! Madam Bones," Fudge exclaimed in despair, "you can't—"

However, Madam Bones ignored his objections, surveyed the room, and continued, "Those in favor of the charges being established, please raise your hand."

Alaric squinted at the Wizengamot.

Hands went up one by one, quite a few in number, soon exceeding half.

Alaric nodded satisfactorily.

Soon, Madam Bones said, "Those in favor of the charges not being established, please raise your hand."

Fudge raised his hand, along with six or seven others, while the rest remained indifferent. Some wanted to raise their hands, but under Alaric's gaze, they withdrew them.

Fudge looked around, feeling as if something was stuck in his throat.

Then he lowered his hand, took a deep breath, and said, "Very well, the charges are established, unprecedentedly, that Wizengamot has been manipulated by private interests."

However, it wasn't over yet. Soon, Madam Bones read out Alaric's second accusation, this time with many more wizards in favor of the charges and hardly anyone against them.
