Dean seems to have it great. An athletic build, a good looking face, and being the heart throb of many girls in his highschool. The last part always caused him more grief than good. He always took it for granted, until one day, he rejected the wrong girl and ended up dying in the spur of the moment. Now he's reincarnated into a magical world with the powerful Harem King System in his hands. Legends say, if you listen carefully, you can still hear him crying about it.
I end up following Evone, staying fifteen feet behind him until we reached what I know to be the gym of my school. Honestly, I probably could have figured out that the gym was where combat classes held using common sense, but I was confused at the time.
At the entrance, Mrs.Gunfire was there, but now sporting a pair of gym shorts and a T-shirt.
"Oh Hello Dean, I was expecting you to join my class, But its nice to see that you're actually here!" Mrs. gunfire greets me with a smile.
"Hello, I mean, I get to check out any classes this week, so I might as well stop by," I greet back. "And Brin says she's going to be late, by the way. She had to go drop Larry off at the infirmary,"
"Oh again? that poor child. He needs to really work on his constitution a little." Mrs. Gunfire says with concern. "He should really spend less time being indoors, studying. Honestly."
I sweat drop at that comment. I want to reply about how teachers should promote studying, but I'm interupted by Evone.
"Cmon ass hat, get on the stage"
"Oh a challenge fight already? You move fast on your first day, Mr. Dean," Mrs. Gunfire comments.
"You're not going to stop this?" I reply, questioning the credibility of the school I now attend.
"Oh. did you not agree to a battle?" Mrs. Gunfire questions.
"I mean, I didn't really want to fight. I just wanted to calm a situation down," I reply honestly.
"No he definitely agreed to fight me, though" Evone intersects quickly. "The school cctv definitely picked it up."
Evone starts scrolling around at a tablet placed on a podium near the arena.
Quickly, a holographic video of the interaction we had in the gym starts playing.
"I'll join the Combat classes, it's fine."
"See you said you'd fight me," Evone says defiantly, pointing at the Hologram.
"Well technically he just said he joined the Combat class, which he just did," Mrs. Gunfire rebukes seemingly catching on to what was going on.
"But I know he meant-" Evone tries to explain.
"He said he would join Combat classes, which he did," Mrs gunfire repeats. "If you both really agree to a fight, then of course you guys can spar. But that's not what this looks like. You could use your challenge tickets to make him fight, but nothing would happen if you won," Mrs. Gunfire further explains. "Besides, you only get three challenge tickets a semester. Do you really want to waste your last one on someone who's a lower rank than you?"
Evone looked a little bothered by what Mrs. Gunfire said, but he still looked at me fiercely.
"If it means I can fight this clown. then yes."
I sigh.
I Evone looks like he has something to prove, and I don't think he'd stop.
"Exactly what rank am I, Mrs. Gunfire?"
"Well, since you've came in during the middle of the school year, you don't really have a placement. In a sense, you're the last rank, meaning rank 106 for your class."
"What rank is Evone then?"
"They're rank 12, and is one of the top Magical Girls in the class."
"So what would happen to Evone if I won, would he, I mean they, lose their rank and become rank 106?" I ask.
"Yes, that's exactly what would happen."
Evone starts looking conflicted. Their frustration towards me seems to be bubbling over even more, but now there's a restriction on the release of it.
"I- I don't care about that. I won't lose. I still need to see what Magical Boy means to him before I kick his ass." Evone eventually responds.
Their response made me stop to think about how to handle the situation now. If Evone challenges me and loses, their rank would plummet. Honestly, even though they're an ass and I don't know how to address them sometimes, I have a feeling they'd hate me more if they lose and their rank drops a hundred. They'd probably even end up blaming me for it, and end up becoming a bigger headache. I put on a face of slight annoyance as I run my fingers through my hair.
"Well, if you're using a challenge ticket, I guess I can sanction this match." Mrs. Gunfire starts to say.
"Don't bother, Mrs Gunfire. It's okay" I interupt. I turn to look at Evone who looms slightly surprised.
"You know what, Evone, you've been on my back since I moved I here, without knowing a single thing about me. It's fair if I get a little angry too right"
I take a step towards Evone. before I continue.
"Evone, I challenge you to a battle."

... I'm going to ignore that.
Soon after, Mrs Gunfire had Me and Evone set up at one of the arenas in the gym. There were a couple kids from our Homeroom watching us and Brin was also in the stands.
I take a stance before I shine a bright yellow and is donned with a Dobuk.

A Bright flash of yellow also shines where Evone was standing, replacing her Uniform with the same one she donned in the cafeteria.
I duck left, as a bright yellow beam rushes pass where my head just was. I leap foward to send out a fist towards Evone, but my hand was stopped by a pink wall of energy. I can feel my hand pushing through the barrier, but I jump back again to dodge another blast sent by Evone.
"Did you just try to fucking punch me? Is that what you meant by Magical Boy? because that's so crass."
"Being a Magical Girl is about knowing the true source of power. Its about knowing we all live together and that's what brings true power in the universe."
She pulls out a wand and draws a wide circle with her arms.
"It's about knowing how love cares, and that caring is infinitely powerful."
as her wand arcs back up above her head, a bright blue ball emerges from the tip of it.
"This is what it means to be a Magical girl. It means to take the power of love to protect love. To love for loves sake. It is this love that I have for life and that brings me infinite power. Tell me, is it this same love that fuels your fists, magical boy?"
The bright Ball grew and grew, before splitting off into dozens of separate beams that flew across the room right at me. Without thinking, I activate Taekwondo Ascension so I could dodge the beams, but the light was to quick and I got hit.
The first beam of light knocked right into my shoulder, tearing up the first few layers of skin and leaving behind a bloody mess. Two more tore right into my back, knocking me onto the floor. I instinctively roll to the left. dodging three additional beams that crashed into the floor where I was just laying.
With my hair still floating and my arms still glowing I calmly chant,
"Buddy youre a boy, make a big noise. Playing in the streets gonna be a big man some day."
"Excuse me?" Evone responds.
I hop over my left foot, doing a 360 in the air, snapping out a spinning kick towards her neck.
"You got mud on your face, you big disgrace,"
"Oh, so you sing?" States back, slightly impressed.
My kick meets back up with the pink barrier, but it blows right through it this time.

But the barrier still slowed me down enough to where it missed her neck, but my foot landed squarely on her ribs, as I kicked toward the wall with my full force.
Evone's back hits the wall, leaving cracks on the gym wall. she pulls herself out, mostly unscathed.
"That's a pretty hard kick. you definitely just got stronger from singing, but it was still physical. I'm starting to see why you're called a Magical Boy." Evone remarks as they get back up.
"Does that mean we can stop fighting?" I asked hopefully.
"No because now I hate your existence," they reply.
They point their wand at me and shoots a blast of energy towards me. I dodge it but right where I moved they sent a second blast.
I pick my arms up to defend my self from the incoming blast.
…
Is it coming?
I put down my arms and noticed that the attack never came. At least that's what I thought until I noticed four more blast coming to my face.
….
Still nothing.
"Hey, I think your magic is broken," I remarked. "Did you run out of juice?"
"No that's impossible. The power of love is infinite, it should never run out of power" Evone states slightly confused. They send another blast to my face that I don't bother dodging. "Why isn't it working?"
She continues to try to overwhelm me with their magic, but it continues to do nothing. I almost feel bad because I can see them starting to tear up from the frustration.
"Do you want to stop fighting yet?" I ask them gently.
"No!" They exclaim. "I won't lose to you, I can't lose to you." They send another fruitless blast. They start to tremble with frustration and tears start to flow. "Why isn't it working anymore." They fall to their knees and they start sobbing with hands pressed against their face.
"Ahem, it seems like Evone is unable to continue. That means Dean's the wi-"
"I forfeit"
