Knight at the Door

It didn't take long to get back to the manor but I'm glad that I managed to get my outfit today. This will definitely look quite nice when I decide to travel.

Upon entering the manor I was greeted by Izza who seemed to have a worried expression on her face.

"Sorry Izza, I did leave a note." I say with a sympathetic voice.

I did feel bad but at the same time I don't think that interaction would've happened if someone was with me. But that was still an interesting experience to have happen of all times and honestly of all people.

"I'm glad you're okay Kenji-Kun." Izza replies with a relieved voice.

I went over and gave her a pat on her head before heading up to bed. It was pretty late out already so it's best to get some sleep, only the best of views await me tomorrow.

"Of course. Goodnight Izza." I said before going upstairs.

Before she could say anything I had already gone up the stairs for bed. It didn't take long since I took everything off quite fast, but seriously what an amazing day.

Got to become friends with a beautiful noble girl this time around.

Without realizing it I had fallen asleep and the next day was upon me. The bright sun shinning into my room and a peaceful morning.

Knock, Knock.

"Kenji-Kun some knight is here to see you." Izza says from the other side of the door.

So much for the peace I mentioned before.

"Alright let him in, I'll be right down." I respond while sitting up.

Sigh. This early and some asshole wants to talk to me so soon.

I put on nice clothes as usual and began to make my way downstairs to the dining room which the knight had been waiting in. Of course to my surprise it was the same knight from yesterday when I met Riyori.

"I apologize for taking up your time, but my lady has informed me of a party that's going to be happening tonight." The Knight says.

"Um alright. What about it?" I question while trying not to be rude.

I really don't like knights but that girl was something alright so I'll make an exception for this guy.

"You've been invited to attend, the details are on the back of this card." The Knight says before standing up.

He handed the card to me and I took it. The card seemed to have the crest of her family on it but to think there's a ball going on already is crazy.

'Thank you. I'll make sure to attend." I respond with a grateful voice.

Ugh I never would attend such a thing but my plans to bring this girl into my future harem will involve this. So I'll play along.

"See you there then." He says before leaving the manor.

Kenji you idiot, why do you have to go thinking with the other thoughts instead of the logical ones? I'll never understand why I do this but screw it, best to go.

I continued my usual routine with Izza and had breakfast with her before going upstairs to study magic. This was the best thing for me to do when nothing was going on, which in my case was most days.

It never gets easier but at least this will definitely be a change of pace for once. But like that my day went by, nothing crazy really occurred.

I found a nice tuxedo to wear and it made me realize how nice I truly can look but I'll never wear one again I'm sure. Even when I dress nice it's never anything this nice.

"Woah, you look quite handsome." Izza says while blushing.

"Thank you Izza. I will be back after while, take care of the place while I'm gone." I respond with a appreciative tone in my voice.

Like that it was about time for me to make my way over to this place. Let me take a look at this letter one more time just to make sure I know where I'm going.

The crest of the card seemed to resemble two swords clashing with a giant rose in front of the two. An interesting crest and ah, there's the location.

'You are invited to the Ball at the Tinzu estate, occurring the 8th of Ninfet.'

That's all the letter really seemed to say but I know exactly where that damn estate is and honestly I'm not a big fan of the family.

The things I do for girls like that, hopefully it'll be worth my time.

Of course I didn't hesitate to take a horse of mine this time around, screw walking all the way to that damn estate. By the time I made it there by walking, I'd have missed the damn ball.

After about 20 minutes I had made it to the estate and of course there were lots of carriages around the estate. Plenty of people were going to be here but who cares, I'm here for Riyori.

Looking around I noticed many people in an assortment of different outfits and some even had masks.

Shit, this is a ball but it's a little too late for me to do anything now.

I set my horse up in a good spot for the time being and left some hay that I snagged on the ground for it.

"Be a good girl now Willow." I say while patting my horse.

I walked over to the steps and made my way into the giant manor before me. This place is nice but I've never liked the people here, not once in my life.

"Ah you made it." The familiar knight says.

"Yes I did. It's you again." I respond while staring at him with a blank expression.

"Right I never said my name. I'm Ashten." He says as he introduces himself.

"Yeah nice to meet you. Am I good to go in?" I ask while looking past him.

"Of course." Ashten Responds while moving to the side.

As I finally entered the main room I noticed a bunch of people all around and honestly there was quite a lot of amazing girls around here. Holy shit.

My jaw felt like it was going to hit the floor.
