Chapter 53

"Adrian-"

"Don't bother" I hand him the key back, "I'm going home enjoy the rest of your party" I walk away leaving him on the sidewalk.

The next morning as I'm getting ready to leave for class my phone rings, "hey dad" I answer grabbing my bag and keys.

"Adrian why did I get a call from Bill saying you asked him to wire you a substantial amount of money?"

"I Uh needed it for an investment but don't worry I don't need it anymore, I'll send the money back to Bill soon."

"Oh ok, everything all right?"

Leaving my room I head down the stairs "yeah dad everything's fine" I lie as I'm walking to the door, "but I'm heading to class so I have to go."

"Ok talk to you soon"

Opening the door I stop when I see Charlie outside waiting against the Audi, "yeah bye dad" I hang up. Walking out I ask "what are you doing here?"
