When we arrive at the headquarters, it is nearly midnight. We were talking about the survivor who had attacked us when we noticed Chief and Roger get out of the service truck.
Hey guys! Wazzup! Roger smiled and waved his hands at us.
What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you go home instead? I asked
Nope! My shift is still not over, and this is just a minor injury. I can respond to another fire or emergency HAHA - Roger laughs.
Our Chief smirked as he looked at Roger.
We all went inside to talk about what had happened. Roger demonstrated to our Commander how he punched the survivor and brought his arms to his mouth. We all laugh at how Roger demonstrates what happened to his arm. He is the type of guy that when he tells you something, he will tell it to you with actions and in complete emotion. After the good laugh, we all went to get some coffee and rest around 2 a.m. Roger bowed his head as he sat by the side of the bed. "Are you okay?" I inquired. He nodded. "You should really go home and rest," I asked. "I just feel a little dizzy, but I'm fine. I'll just nap and rest my eyes."he said while massaging his head. “Alright! I'll keep an eye for you, princess! Go take a nap right now." I laughed when I said that to him. He didn't respond, but he smiled back at me. He then lay on the bed, facing the wall. I simply sit on the table beside his bed. I'm sipping a cup of coffee while watching the videos on the internet to keep my eyes open, but it never took long for me to feel the heaviness in my eyes again. I yawned, but I tried to fight the sleepiness because I knew I'd be in big trouble if my Chief caught me sleeping again. So I tried to do some workout like curl ups and push ups but nothing worked. It only took a few minutes for my vision to become blurry. My eyes felt heavy, and I could hear myself snoring. I failed, and I fell asleep.
