Stacey was just returning from her search to find a good place to start up her firm. She was very hungry and decided to stop over at a restaurant to have lunch. She was dressed in her usual jeans and black jacket with a pair of shades. One would not easily recognize her with that type of dressing. She silently enjoyed her lunch when someone sat on a seat next to her. She didn’t bother to look at the face of the person. A waiter came to attend to the young man who had just arrived. He picked up the menu to access the available meals. He made his order.
“Is that all sir?” The waiter asked.
“Yeah!” He answered. From his voice, Stacey could already identify who it was. She just smiled, the waiter left.
“You know young lady, there’s only one lady that I know will always dress the way you’ve dressed. Her name’s Stacey Roberts. I ain’t denying the fact that I can recognize you anywhere and anytime Stacey.” He said to her and she couldn’t help but laugh.
She took off her shades and looked at the young man in front of her. It was Kevin.
“Wow! You’re so good at recognition!” She exclaimed.
“I told you, I’ll always recognize you when I see you!” He said with a smile.
“So what’re you up to?” He asked.
“Well, I was just surveying around!” Just then, the waiter arrived with his order. Kevin paid for the bills including that of Stacey’s with his credit card. She thanked him for his kind gesture. They enjoyed their lunch and spent a few minutes sitting down, talking.
Kevin was a manager of a popular bank in the city. He had just decided to take a lunch break when coincidentally, they met each other there.
“I’m heading home from here.” She said to him.
“Well that’s alright. But before you go, I wanted to ask you something.” He began.
“What is that?” She asked.
“Well, I was hoping to come see and ask you about it but since you’re here, I think it’s better I ask you right here and now.” He said.
“So can you go straight to the point?” The impatient Stacey asked.
“Will you be available tomorrow by 7pm?” He asked.
“Yeah! Sure. Why do you ask?”
“Well, I wanted to know so I could ask you out on a date!” He replied.
“Really?”
“Yeah. Will you go out on a date with me Miss Stacey?” He asked her.
“Not bad! Yes I will. At least it’s gonna free me from all the boredom at home.” She answered and they laughed.
“Okay. Thank you Stace.” He appreciated. The duo walked out of the restaurant heading to the parking lot.
“So I guess I’ll come pick you by 7pm tomorrow?” He asked.
“Yeah. I’ll be waiting for you!” She answered.
“Okay then. See you tomorrow Stacey!”
“You too Kevin. Good bye.” She waved at him. The duo left the restaurant. They went in different directions.
