Well, the water was no ordinary water. The water not only was sweet and refreshing to drink but it had the ability to wash away all the fatigue that Chou Lian would feel. At first, the original body was really weak as it was malnourished and even after drowning no medicine had been taken. However, once she discovered the space the body's condition improved tremendously. This improvement can be attributed to this water from the river and all the fruits that she has been eating in the space.
Chou Lian was caught up with spending time and trained on how to be a proper member of the imperial family , as she lacked in these aspect, that she found no time to take a step back, take deep breaths, and to decide how can she be of any help to Ying Yue. But now that she was falling into a routine with Ying Yue and staying at the palace and all, so she had considerable more time in her hands now than before. That's why now only she realized not only she had healing water in space, but she also had a whole ass hospital equipments and medicine in one single room in her space! This means even if Chou Lian doesn't possess any medical knowledge she won't have to worry about how to nurse Ying Yue back to health.
Honestly, Chou Lian isn't sure whether she yet feels close enough to worry about Ying Yue's health, but she knows it well that if Ying Yue dies she would have to face severe consequences, even if the 6th princess pled His Majesty to not punish Chou Lian before her death. First of all, His Majesty took a big gamble by going against all the ministers and aristocrats by bestowing a marriage between Chou Lian and Ying Yue, between two women which was unheard of! So even after all these if Ying Yue ends up dying His Majesty might just bury her alive by Ying Yue's side! Chou Lian didn't want to die yet! She wants to live, no, she has to live!
However, there was a big problem over her death! How was she going to bring Ying Yue into the space to give her a check- up to find what disease she might have? It was only after she discovers her illness Chou Lian can search whether the medicine to cure her was in the space or not. Even though Chou Lian is getting close to her but there still does not exist a strong level of trust within them. She was not in the future anymore where people would calmly accept such a thing, but she was in the past now. What if Ying Yue freaks out after discovering this place, or takes her as a freak? Would it be safe to just reveal such a place to her when she can't even tell her truthfully how she got this space, in the first place.
She was not yet familiar with Ying Yue's personality. As she was sick she would most of the time be surrounded with a cold deathly aura, but sometimes when she spoke with Chou Lian her aura would change...it's like it would become more calm and seemed more gentle. Chou Lian believes it to be her seeing an illusion, but the way Ying Yue looks at her is difficult to put it into words. Sometimes it feels like Ying Yue's eyes stares deep into her soul as if stripping her naked and bare. At first, it made her uncomfortable so Chou Lian voiced her discomfort out loud to Ying Yue one time, but she received an answer which she never expected.
"Why...why cannot I look at you? Are you not going to be my wife? You will be my wife soon so...," Ying Yue coughed badly before completing her answer, "I have every right to look at the beautiful person in front of me...you do not have to mind me."
Chou Lian remembers she just gaped at Ying Yue never thinking she would answer like that. Why did she never found Ying Yue being disgusted by the prospect of marrying another woman and was even capable of saying such things! She really does not know what goes around in Ying Yue's mind. Well, she knows one thing about Ying Yue that she has a thick skin. Now, that wasn't enough to disclose her secret to her. Should she just hit the veins which would make Ying Yue fall unconscious and then drag her into the space? But what if she ends up using too much strength and Ying Yue dies rather than falling unconscious?! Ying Yue was so weak that when looking at her Chou Lian would feel with a single touch she would simply fall apart. She couldn't take such a risk. It feels like her grandfather didn't call her stupid for no reason. She might have the strength to fight but she never was someone bright for which her grandfather was greatly disappointed. It was not her fault how she perished with her comrades; however, only if she was little more intelligent wouldn't she have been able to protect her fellow soldiers...
Chou Lian sighed as she stood up then lightly slapped her cheeks as she shook her head.
"There is no time to waste thinking about the past I have left behind! Let's cheer up Chou Lian! You need to save the princess so that you can save your own life! Don't worry! You can do it!", Chou Lian shouted out loud in the valley to cheer herself up. She once again looked around the valley, then slowly took deep breaths of the sweet air which cooled down her nerves.
She closed her eyes to get out of the space to return a few minutes later with a water and a fruit vase. She filled the jar to the brim, then picked some ripened pears to fill the vase. Shen then kept the jar and the vase inside the living room of the glass house. After which she again exited the space and found herself in her room which was dark and silent while the moonlight came from the window, the only source of light in the room as the candles were not lighted. She could easily enter the space at night was only because she had forbidden any servants to enter her room without she allowing it. This was her only sort of privacy in a place which was hard to have.
After changing into her night robes Chou Lian finally lied down for her much needed sleep. Before she knew it sleep hit her like a train and she entered the dreamland.
"Ruyi-er?", Chou Lian called out as she washed her face with a wet cloth to clean her up in the morning.
"Yes, 6th princess' consort.", the servant named Ruyi answered politely. Out of all the servants that was assigned to Chou Lian she was the only one who was easy to get along with, though she was a little foolish for a 14 year old yet, she listened to Chou Lian well. This is why Chou Lian liked to assign Ruyi with all her little chores, and she was the only one allowed to help with Chou Lian with everything she needed help with while dismissed all the other personal servants.
" Tell the imperial doctor that I want to cook the medicinal broth with him. Also, tell the kitchen to keep aside some fresh pears for me I would like to make some rock sugar pear water for Her Highness Shenghuo.", Chou Lian said nonchalantly as she stood up to wear a light blue and golden colour robe on top of her inner clothes. This robe brought out the brightness of her skin and she seemed more elegant than usual.
Ruyi looked at her with wide eyes as she exclaimed out loud, "6th princess' consort! You look so beautiful today! So elegant just like a jade!"
Chou Lian smiled lightly before clearing her voice to nag , " Did you even listen to what I said? And why do you keep on calling me "6th princess' consort"? I have not married Her Highness Shenghuo yet. Don't just stand their foolishly bring the belt and help me tie it up. Also, don't forget to do what I said now."
Ruyi laughed then nodded, " Her Highness is soon going to marry the 6th princess, so Her Highness should get familiar with this way of address. Do not worry 6th princess' consort I will immediately do what you said."
