The white snow of Kunlun is dead

"Greetings, my lord," Yu Feng Ning Zhi said, her voice low and heavy with respect.

The King of Hell seemed mildly amused, if not outright pleased. He leaned forward on his throne and ran his fingers through his long, black hair.

"Welcome, my child," he said, his voice rumbling like thunder.

King of hell Qin Shi Huang noticed Princess Yu Feng Ning Zhi had something to say.

''Speak whatever is going on in your mind!''

The Princess stood tall, her expression as hard as stone. "I come bearing a request, my lord," she said. "I wish to challenge the court to trial by combat."

The King leaned back on his throne and laughed. "Very well," he said. "It shall be done."

He then got up and walked toward her. ''Let's go out for a walk!''

And Yu Feng Ning Zhi understood where this walk will take them.

''My lord, you don't need to start with a comprehensive introduction''. Yu Feng Ning Zhi said.

''Yu Feng Ning Zhi! Don't sound like I am a fifty-year-old Ghost''. Qin Shi Huang said.

''Yes! I keep forgetting you were only thirty years old crown prince when you died''. Yu Feng Ning Zhi walked side by side with him.

''Ouch! That hurts''. Qin Shi Huang said.

Yu Feng Ning Zhi smiled lightly. Sometimes, she couldn't believe this person was the King of hell whom everyone feared.

Once upon a time, these two people had enjoyed a tranquil life. But little did they know, the tranquillity was fleeting--soon enough, their life would be upended. But who would have thought life would throw them at such a place? HELL-!

''Yu Feng Ning Zhi, it's been five years now. You have adapted yourself in this place, but you didn't forgive your brother''. Qin Shi Huang started that topic again.

Yu Feng Ning Zhi sighed heavily. ''It's been five years already!'' She thought deeply. ''I heard Jiang Xicheng has returned and my brother has united with him again''.

''Yes!'' Qin Shi Huang replied. ''They stole some things from the Jiang family''.

''It's not possible. Wei Liuxian, my little brother would never steal anything from anyone''. Yu Feng Ning Zhi felt her heart pierced by the thought of her brother being labelled as a thief.

Qin Shu Huang spoke, ''What's big in this? He supported a murderer a few years ago. He stood on his ground ignoring his half-dead elder sister. Now he has become a thief. Selfish scoundrel!''

Qin Shi Huang's voice sounded rude and mocking. Yu Feng Ning Zhi couldn't take it.

''Uncle, don't forget during all this time. Wei Liuxian has stayed by your side''. She looked at him with tearful eyes.

''Exactly!'' Qin Shi Huang nodded his head. ''During all this time, till today Prince Xiong Long Yan, your little brother Wei Liuxian was here. He never left this place. Someone else is pretending to be Wei Liuxian in the outside world''.

Yu Feng Ning Zhi halted on her steps. ''What do you mean?''

''You remember when you were dying five years ago, your cousin's friend saved you by sacrificing her life?'' Qin Shi Huang's tone was suspecting.

Yu Feng Ning Zhi nodded her head.

''It wasn't some female who saved your life but your brother''. Qin Shi Huang's words fell like a heavy mountain on Yu Feng Ning Zhi.

Yu Feng Ning Zhi turned around breathed heavily, she looked around to see where she was. Her vision getting blurry.

''That boy is such a liar. He lied to you. He had planned all this. He was your blood brother. Only he could save your soul, not someone outside your family. He said it was his test. I tried to stop him, but he never listened. He said he would pass this test no matter what, he would save his elder sister who had been sacrificing her whole life just for him''. Qin Shi Huang was speaking and Yu Feng Ning Zhi felt she was floating in another galaxy.

''I had to rip his body apart, do you know how much pain that causes? He was lying lifelessly next to you. When I sucked out all the blood and spiritual energy from his body his soul scattered which took me two years to repair''.

Yu Feng Ning Zhi opened her eyes while breathing heavily. Her face turned white. Next, it was going to turn blue.

''Why didn't you tell me?'' Yu Feng Ning Zhi tried to grab something to support her. Qin Shi Huang held her hand and supported her as he had been doing for the last five years.

''I had accepted you two as my children at that time. I pleaded..''

Qin Shi Huang's voice somehow cracked but he calmed himself.

''I pleaded with Wei Liuxian not to do this but he didn't listen to me. He said his sister is everything, he can't see you in pain. He had faith in me, he knew he would die saving you but he believed I would revive his soul. I would have never broken my promise to him by telling you all this but I had to do this. It's time you both return to complete the unsolved riddle''.

''My brother... my little brother Wei Liuxian is dead''.

She stumbled, her chest heaving as she tried to catch her breath. Tears streamed down her face as the pain of the fateful revelation began to sink in. She never cried in front of anyone, but now she couldn't stop herself.

Her whole body tightened, almost as if it was rejecting the news. She collapsed to her knees, crumpling over and allowing the tears to fall freely. As the pain moved through her in waves, she was overwhelmed. Despair drove her further into her grief, and the sobbing intensified.

She was alone in her misery, and she struggled to gain control of her emotions. Even though she had survived so much, this twofold truth was too much to bear. It was like a sharp knife digging into her core, and the pain of it shook her to her very centre. She wanted to run away, but there was nowhere to go.
