The Flames Roar

After learning the tier two spell it was time to learn the tier three and the last spell. This spell was way harder than the last spell. In this spell one has to control the darkness. It was like a next version of the tier two spell but Claude knew that this will be harder than any other spell he had ever used and it will also be a lot mana consuming.

' According to my theory, we don't have to control the actual darkness but the surrounding signatured world energy. I don't know how this is going to happen but if I am able to control the darkness energy then I would become a lot more powerful than before.' He thought

Claude casted the spell but it seems like the way to control the darkness energy is you to find. Claude tried for a while but was not able to control the darkness energy.

After a bit of time Claude understood where he was going wrong. Instead of solely relying on world energy, Claude decided to influence world energy by external means.

After a bit of trial and error Claude finally found out how to bend the world's energy.

' Other basic elements require world energy to be used. The mana gives the energy and will while the world energy gives something which I would like to call as elemental cells, in short standard signatures which are required to tap on the particular element. Now in this spell we can simply replace the surrounding world energy in a different element using the same signature. In short it requires the tier two spell along with a wind element spell to make the signature of the wind element to convert into that of the signature of the world energy. Then you replace the world energy by the signatured wind element which will bend according to your will as long as you give it mana.' Claude concluded.

After a lot of practice it was time to go home. Today nothing special happened, just that Amber was not present for dinner while Eren was literally dozing off while eating due to the training. It seemed like Ares also wanted Eren to train for a whole day but due to Ellen's condition which was to allow Eren to enjoy his childhood he was stopping himself. Except for that the night went the same way as usual.

The next arrived and the morning went the same way as usual. Claude had his lunch with Eren and went towards the river like usual but on his way he halted and threw his bag and weaved as many arrows made of darkness as possible. He felt a strong mana source moving towards him. The only thing which can move and have such a strong mana presence in a forest is a Beast.

Around five to seven dark arrows appeared in front of Claude ready to be unleashed at his order. It was not like he couldn't make anymore arrows but the seven arrows in front of him took away all of his attention with him checking the surroundings, keeping a spell ready like this required a huge amount of concentration.

What appeared in front of Claude was a lion. The difference between a normal lion and this lion was that this one was two times bigger and instead of a furry, soft Mane he had waving flames around his neck. Except for that he also had a tail which was lit by flames. His flames seemed more deeper than any flames Claude has ever seen in his life.

" What do you want ?" Claude asked in a calmed tone still not willing to cancel his spells.

" Oh, a small human child knows that I can speak ?" The lion was surprised, he always gets mistaken for a normal, unintelligent animal.

Seeing that Claude was not willing to answer any of his questions the lion decided to come directly on the main topic.

" I know you can use healing magic as I have been observing you near the river for the past two days. I want your help as a healer. As long as you are willing to do it I am willing to pay the price." The lion said.

" I am just a trainy, I have never worked on real living beings before but if you still want me to give it a try then you have to acknowledge me by allowing me to touch your snout." Claude replied to his request.

When the lion heard Claude's condition his Mane was no longer gentle like before, instead it was fiery. He glared at Claude for a few minutes but seeing no fear in Claude's eyes he finally gave up with a sigh.

He came near Claude who still hadn't cancelled the dark arrows. The lion closed his eyes and brought his face near Claude. His face was big and so was his snout but Claude gently touched it and caressed it.

" Fine, take me with you." Claude said.

The lion kneeled in a position as if he was asking Claude to sit on his back. Claude climbed the lion and sat on his back.

The lion started running towards a certain direction at high speed. But not high enough to make Claude fall. He crossed the river in a single jump and kept running.

" How much do you know ?" The lion asked.

Claude understood what he was asking and explained :-

" You are Flames roar, a tier 4 beast. You evolved from a normal lion beast. You are a natural predator but you don't discriminate much with humans. You always move in a pride with others being either females or cubs. Your race is too prideful that's why you only allow people you acknowledge to touch your snout. You test them before though." The lion or the flames roar was shocked by Claude's knowledge.

" Can you tell me about the division of beasts ?" The flames roar asked.

" The beasts and monsters are divided in tiers as well but unlike magic tiers they have the tier limit of 12." Claude continued.

" The tier 1 are cubs, tier 2 adults and tier 3 are matured. Till tier three, beasts are just normal animals. If you are strong enough you get evolved into tier 4 and would be able to use mana with a single element with some varying changes. For example flames roar, you were just a normal lion but then you got evolved into flames roar and are able to use mana. You can't use mana freely like we do but only a tier 6 or above human can match your flames." Claude continued.

" Tier 4 is a young evolved beast, tier 5 is an adult evolved beast and tier 6 is a matured evolved beast. After that you have to evolve again but after that you won't be an evolved lion. You will become a part of an entirely different race and will be able to use all elements and become more intelligent than beasts. Tier 7 are young high beasts, tier 8 are adult High beasts and tier 9 are mature high beasts. There is no further evolution but you can reach tier 10 by reaching the pinnacle of your strength. Above that are tier 11 and tier 12 which are called Ancient beasts. You become immortal, undefeatable and reach the pinnacle of the world." Claude finally concluded. He never misses a single chance to boast about his knowledge.
