Eren's meeting with the flames roar's pride

After having lunch Claude and Eren went in the direction of the dark woods. They kept talking about swordsmanship and magic on the way. In fact it was just Claude talking and Eren trying to keep up on what he was talking about.

They crossed the river and went in a certain direction in the forest. Eren asked where they were going but Claude refused to answer.

" Hey Claude, do you like Maria by any chance ?" Eren asked suddenly.

Claude paused his walking and looked at Eren with a look which said ' The fuck are you talking about.'

" Do you like her ?" Claude asked, continuing walking.

" Nah, her friends asked me to ask you because it seems she likes you ?" Eren answered with an indifferent face.

" It's just a stupid childhood crush. Once she sees me covered in blood she will never even talk to me." What Claude referred to here was hunting, Claude had not killed any man yet but if someone gave him reason he won't hold back.

" I thought love is great. Mom told me that love is the most beautiful thing in the world." Eren said.

" Yes and she is right. Love is the most beautiful thing in the world but can you tell if someone truly is in love. If someone loves you but always clinging to you, wants to be with you and makes every decision with you then people call that obsession. If you love someone but want to keep it to yourself and also focus on other things such as your career then that becomes ignorance." Claude said with a mature look.

" My parents also used to love each other unconditionally but you can see what happened to my mother." Claude said with indifference.

" Why don't you talk with Amber mom ? I mean she might look rude and she is not a bad person." Eren asked bluntly.

" I tried but she hated me so much that she didn't even want to admit that I am her son." Claude said with indifference.

" Don't you want your mom back ?" Eren asked because even a day without seeing Ellen's face is a stroke to his innocent heart.

" People want something back because they had it once. I never knew anything about my mother from the day I was born except that she was my mother and didn't want me." Claude said bluntly.

These both were talking such things so casually as if they were talking about a toy but that's just how things have changed in these three years. Eren had become terribly blunt to the point he can only be called as muscle head while Claude had become cold and indifferent towards everything except mana related stuff.

After walking for a few minutes they finally reached their destination. In front of them was a big cave in what seemed like a small hill but neither Claude nor Eren even looked at it. Because in front of them was a majestic lion which was two times bigger than a normal lion and had deep orange and red flames around his neck as a Mane. The beast had a deep light orange core but he had fewer limiters than Claude or Eren.

Eren was the first react he tried to take out his sword but Claude stopped him saying :-

" Calm down "

Eren was confused by his brother's behaviour but soon his attention went towards the beast who had started walking towards them slowly. Even though Eren believed Claude he still kept his hand on the hilt of the sword. The lion stood in front of them looking at them. Both boys looked like ants in front of this majestic beast. He brought his face closer to them, Eren closed his eyes in the fear of being eaten but a few seconds passed and nothing happened. When he opened his eyes, his eyes widened in surprise seeing the lion cuddling Claude and Claude caressing him with his hands.

" You are a bit late today." More to Eren's surprise the lion could talk.

The flames roar looked at Eren and said :-

" You have brought guests today with you."

" He is my elder brother." Claude said.

" He doesn't smell like you." The flames roar said.

" He is my step brother." Claude replied.

" Well, will he stop staring at me like that ?" When flames roar said that Claude looked towards Eren. Eren was carrying a savage smile while staring at flames roar.

Claude understood what was going in his brother's mind. He was raring to fight against flames roar.

" Don't worry he won't harm you. He is just a warmonger." Claude said, having a confusion in his mind.

' Shouldn't I have said that to Eren instead of the flames roar ? Haah...' Claude thought.

" Eren, this is flames roar a tier 4 beast and flames roar this my elder brother Eren." When Claude said that did Eren came out of his nirvana.

" Nice to meet you, flames roar." Eren greeted with a slight bow.

" And here I was expecting normal human behaviour but I forgot that you were this little creature's brother. Anyway, nice to meet you, Eren." The flames roar said.

Flames roar explained his and Claude's meeting while Claude went towards the cave before Claude could even enter 6 young lions and lioness jumped on him. Licking him, snuggling him and cuddling him. Claude was completely covered in them.

" Let Cloud go childrens." A soft voice was heard.

The younglings left Claude. What stood in front of Claude was a lioness the same size as the flames roar. All the three lionesses of flames roar became mutated beasts. Mutated beasts are beasts variations which cannot be further evolved. They become a slightly stronger tier 3 beasts but unlike evolved beasts they can't further evolve but the lionesses didn't regret it. They were never expecting to evolve either but yet they did so for them that was enough.

" Who is he ?" One of the lioness asked, looking towards Eren.

" My elder brother, Eren." Claude replied.

" He doesn't sme–" before the other lioness can complete her sentence Claude replied.

" Step brother," Claude didn't like calling Eren his step brother just as much as Eren didn't like calling Claude step brother.

The lionesses checked his body for any form of injury or malnutrition just like they checked for their cubs. Claude also checked them through the tier 1 healing magic.

Today's biggest reason for bringing Eren here was to let him know that humans are not the only race in this world and the other races are not bad. In human civilization every other race except humanoid species is treated as the enemy.

Claude spends the rest of the time with the flames roar family. Until it was time to go for Maria's sisters birthday.
