Curious Princess

"You can open your eyes now, Grace." I heard a cold voice filled with amusement.

I slowly opened my left eye then looked around with it. Then slowly opened my right to look directly into Harrison's eyes.

"Am I dead?" I asked, still in a daze as I looked around again.

"No. But now you will be." Harrison said. "Get down!" He ordered in a strict tone.

"Don't shout! Let me relish the feeling that I am alive!" I grumbled out while grinning like an idiot with my eyes closed.

I clearly heard him scoff but he put his expressions back to neutral as soon as I opened my eyes to see if I heard correct. Rather he was glaring at me.

I immediately got down the bike to see I was one feet away from bumping the wall of the backyard. Then I looked at Harrison's hand which stopped the bike from injuring itself and myself. He had turned off the bike using the keys. When and how? I don't know.

"Th… thank you." I mumbled out in embarrassment.
