"Hey, Dami." I whispered after taking a seat beside his head while big fat tears rolled down my cheeks.
He didn't get up, nor did he wish back. He just kept lying there lifelessly, just like that. I slowly took his cold hand in mine.
"I am so sorry for not being there with you, Dami." I whispered. "Well, it's not my fault though. But I will still apologize." I tried to crack a small joke and smiled a little at myself but soon tears started to fall again.
"How did this happen, Damon? It wasn't supposed to happen. It wasn't! Get up, bro. It's been one month since I heard you call me angel. I am dying to hear you call me angel. I missed you. I missed your cooked food so much. I never said it aloud but the foods you cook are delicious. Though aunt Mary cooked delicious foods every day but nobody can beat your cooking. I love them.
