Do leave your comments in the chapters and I will try to reply to them as much as I can :) Drinking 4 cups of coffee per day to keep up with work, writing/proofreading and children rearing =( Hope you like the story and vote! Also do join me on discord https://discord.gg/hXPzSGQHQF to give your opinions. Also will try my best to reply to all comments but the system here is pretty lousy....for example, paragraph comment, I have no idea which para it is and has to scroll manually to find it. Also replies to my reply does not show up as a prompt I think. If someone has a shortcut to solve this do let me know! note: I had the help of a great editor Darin in the earlier chapters up to chapter 10.

Classes and stats

(Yes/No)

Feng pondered for a while on the latest developments. He had added his points to wisdom for a reason and that is because of his intention to go for a rare class he knows about at level 10.

A pyromancer. Mage related class in Gods Art are rare and Feng had only known of less than 10 such players before. The mage class can be classified into pyromancer and cryomancer. The first controls fire and the other controls ice.

The lack of mage class had caused an uproar in the forums initially. However, Abstergo Reality, the company behind Gods Art ignored the feedbacks. As such nothing changed but instead the users adept.

One key component in being able to get the mage related class is that the user has to be classless before entering the quest. Each quest has a different triggering event and once it is triggered, no matter if the person is successful or not successful with the class change, the event is gone forever.

As for the rest of the classes, they are mainly melee class with the exception of the cleric.

The rest of the class are broken down into :

Knights - Sword and Shield. Usually the main tank in the party. Heavy armour.

Swordsman - Double swords optimized for speed and damage. Heavy armour mix with Robes. Martial artist - Fist and knuckleduster user. Specialize in speed, versatility and power. Robes armour.

Assassin - Twin dagger user. Robes armour user.

Archers - bows user, faster attack but lower damage when compared to a sniper. Heavy armour mix with Robes.

Rangers - Traps, Taming pets, throwing axe, tracking and herbalist. Robe armour.

Snipers - crossbow user, slower attack but higher damage. Heavy armour mix with Robes.

Cleric - The only mana base role that is meant for healing. Robe armour.

Pyro/Cryomancer - Rare unique class. Fire/Ice user. The only offensive mage role in the game.

The main point that differentiates the classes is that of their skills learned. The game actually does allow for knights to equip robes or cleric to equip heavy armour. It is just that the stats given by the equipment would differ.

Also to note is the weight of the equipment. Heavy armour provides more defence but is also heavier, needing more strength to equip and consumes more stamina. Another con of heavy armour is that it lowers agility and has more movement constraints.

The reason why Feng had started investing his stats in wisdom this early is to achieve a higher mana pool at a higher level. Very rarely would any players do such an allotment of stats. Especially when they do not know of the impact it would cause at the later stage.

This is because there is no cleric in the beginner village. As such every player needs to fight to level and would have a basic combat ability. It is almost like basic army training where everyone would undergo basic lesson on how to fire a rifle and fight.

Because of this even if a player has decided to be a cleric right from the start, they would still use some stats points on strength. However, the system of Gods Art is actually affected by the endurance and wisdom points on every level you gain.

Every 1 Wisdom = 3 MP gained per level. which is why at level 2, everyone had levelled up with 10 wisdom = 30 MP more or 80 MP in total. Feng who had added his stats to wisdom on level 2 would have 20 wisdom = 60 MP more when he levels to level 3.

This meant 140 MP in total compared to say someone who adds 4 wisdom at level 2 who would have 122 MP. Assuming both add the same amount of stats on level 3, when levelling to level 4, Feng would have 230 MP vs 176 MP of the other players.

The compounding amount makes the gap bigger the higher the levels. At level 20, Feng's MP is 5750 vs the other player of 2672. However, the issue was that the damage of Feng would be lower due to his much lower Intel. IE: he could cast more times but each time the damage is lower.

This is why his team of players are crucial to him as he tries to build his ideal stat build where he concentrates on wisdom early on since there is no disadvantage to adding intel later. This makes him weaker in the initial stages but much strong later.

The same could be said for tankers too. Where if they added full endurance early on their HP would be much higher than other players. However, once again no one would pump all stats to endurance in the early stages.

In his previous life, not many knew of the advantage of doing so since it is not mentioned in Gods Art guide. It took some time before the players realised it. However, Gods Art do not allow the resetting/deleting of one's account and everyone is only allowed 1 account.

It is almost like real life where one does not have a chance to correct an error already made.

Some major guild would have their newer accounts pump their endurance/wisdom early on. However, this meant it was harder for such players to train as they had to rely on other players.

Power levelling a player is impossible too due to the system interference where a gap of 5 level causes the exp of the entire team to drop significantly.

As such the newer players would have a hard time catching up to the older players level. So even if they did add their stats correctly early on, with the level difference the account is still weaker.

The way Genfnil phrase his words, Feng is guessing that the class would be a mage class since it involves his slightly higher mana pool.

Thanks to a show-off on the forum who had shared how he triggered his quest on the forum, he has the knowledge of how to trigger the quest for the rare Pyro/Cryomancer class once.

If he accepts the quest and it turns out to be the rare Pyro/Cryomancer class, he could pass on the information he has on hand to either Fatty or Xinru allowing them to have 2 rare mage class in their party from the start!

This is especially true for Xin Ru as he had planned for her to be the cleric of the team and as such her build is identical to Feng as of now.

Thinking about this point, Feng got excited.

Doki Doki

Feng's heart beats fast as he lifts his fingers towards the 'yes' button.

any guess on what the class is?

Lol

Typing Xin Rus' name made me miss her...
