The Battle Against Darkness - [ Chapter - 16 ]

I asked the NPC where was the cult located, he said if I wanted to know the full information I had to go to the temple of light, so he gave me a token and told me to show it to the high priests.

I tried healing him and he noticed, after the healing skill it didn't even do a thing, he told me he was cursed so nothing could help heal him.

So after that I started my journey to the temple, after a while of traveling we arrived at the holy city, I immediately went to the temple and showed them the token, they just looked at me, and asked me what I was doing there.

After a while a high priest saw the token and brought me to a private room and asked me where I got the token, so I explained everything to him and after that he gave me a scroll that had the places where the cult has already invaded or set up a camp.

While I was going to the first location, I saw Ari was online so I texted her to see if she wanted to do the quest with me, so I was just walking to the location and I got a confirmation message from her.

So I told her to meet me up at the first cult location, the moment I got there I already had to fight with the cult members all of them were relatively low level but a few of them were level 450 and above.

I was able to defeat the first location and I got to level 412 while Splashy and the others reached 400+ I just waited for Ari to arrive and after a while she arrived, she asked how many more locations do we need to do and said 7 left and were doing the strongest last.

I shared the mission and we went to the second location, when we arrived at the location I told Infuego and Tsunami to protect Ari because she was still relatively low level, I was able to fight them because of my blessings.

We continued and after defeat 7 out of the 8 locations, I was able to reach level 457 while Ari got over level 300+ and also Splashy and the others reached over level 440.

[Ding! You have surpassed the person with the highest level, do you wish to have your name on the leader board?]

I pressed no because I didn't want unwanted attention and it told me to input a custom name so I could hide my real username, so I just put the "Godly Tamer".

A few minutes later while we were walking, Ari saw that I became the person with the highest level, she congratulated me and we continued our travel, and finally after a long walk we arrived at the final location.

There was a bunch of arch priests at the place but there top level was 500 so Splashy and the others could deal with them while Ari supported them, I fought the boss alone because I was the only one with the stats to do it.

The boss I had to fight was the pope of the cult and his name was "Achlys", his level was 750, a big leap from the other NPCs we had to fight, there was a load of moves I had to dodge and I kept getting notifications that the curses were being purified, I knew it was definitely the blessing from the angel before.

So the boss was a bit easier and it's physical stats compared to it's magic related stats were not as good so I was able to defeat them without a hitch, I reached level 473, while Ari reached above 325 and also Splashy and the rest got above level 460.

From the loot I didn't get any loot that be of use to me, I asked Ari if she got anything and she looked at me with a big smile so I asked why was she so happy about, she told me she got a growth job called, "Arch Mage's Disciple", I knew it would definitely be a good job because it sounded the same like when I got mine.

After all of that we made a trip back to the temple, and after that we got our rewards because Ari wasn't given the mission directly she only got less than half the gold and experience points but luckily she got the light's blessing.

And when I got my reward I reached level 476 while Splashy and the rest got to level 465, I also got the gold.

I assumed it was the angelic tamer job I got and a light appeared on my job panel, my angelic tamer job disappeared and now it was replaced with a job called "Blessed Tamer", I didn't have time to check it's description because I got distracted by another notification.
