Rebecca took a delicate sip of her wine, her brows furrowed as Thomas spoke enthusiastically of hunting fangeds outside the citadel walls.
"It would be quite the adventure," Thomas said, flashing Rebecca a charming smile. Miyoko nodded in agreement with him.
Rebecca exchanged a glance with Sarah and Robert, who looked uneasy, just like her.
"The danger seems rather extreme," she said. "The chances of meeting high-tier fangeds will increase, and a lot at that. It would be wise to remain within the safety of the citadel's area of influence."
Thomas waved a hand dismissively. "But think about the honor!" he said. "Besides, it's not like we must engage with the fangeds. The mission only requires us to scout some ruins in the forest. We won't even need to enter them! Think about the prestige our families will have with this exploit. "
