Godlike: The Rise of a Skill-stealing Rune Master chasing revenge

Utterly mad and consumed by hatred, Sebastian attacked Erika Luttrell’s manor. As the woman incinerated him to ashes, Sebastian died with a crazed smile on his face, finding humor in his own death. But fate had a wild twist in store for Sebastian. Thanks to a trinket bequeathed by his dead father, the pyromancer gets sent back to the past, landing right in the middle of another shot at payback. There is only a tiny insignificant problem plaguing the man. Madness followed him, pushing him to take completely avoidable risks. Sebastian sprinted toward the main entrance. The heavy doors were closed shut, showing no signs of having been barred from the other side.

However, if it did, it would imply that Rebecca was really there. The fangeds around here also hinted at that possibility, since they were waiting like sharks around a boat.

Renewed hope filled Sebastian as he quickly approached the gate. But one of the tier-1 fangeds came back to the area as he was halfway through.

Sebastian didn't know if it had gotten tired of chasing the illusion already, if it had sniffed his scent, or if it had heard him run.

Regardless, the beast noticed him making a run for the entrance, and after having spotted the potential prey, the creature chased after Sebastian.

"Stupid overgrown lizard," Sebastian spat as he kept running. The fanged paid no heed to his insults.
