Snow Maid Cafe

After the class was over, the team decided to go outside of the Academy to eat, since both of our Iskas were currently absent. The dragons didn't join us however, coz Revian hated restaurants. He had some bad experiences with it due to his massive towering body.

"Welcome~" As soon as we entered the restaurant through the front door, a soothing sweet voice of a girl greeted us with her… warmth? No, coolness.

Everything food-related in the New World is run by Iska, both Siska (land Ice tribe) and Wiska (sky Ice tribe). The entire restaurant was dominated in two shades, cyan and white. As every tribe loves their mono or dichromatic setting.

The floor is crystal white, sparkling without any dust or dirt. The wall is bright cyan giving a calm and feminine atmosphere. Everywhere you look, you'll see snow flower decorations. Whether it is attached to the wall or hung by the ceiling.

At the back center, you'll find a nice little counter with a bunch of Wiska handling your order. At the panel on their back, lined up cutely decorated menu painted in sweets and flowers.

Behind it is the kitchen. Although… we can't see what's inside since they were both connected by a showcase replacing the wall between them.

The inside of the showcase can be easily interchangeable, so the chefs can place their creations to face us.

"Over here, Your Highness…" The waitress showed us the way to our table. She's a petite Wiska dressed in a snow-decorated maid outfit with layers of laces covering her arms and legs.

It was a square glass table right next to a window, giving us a clear view of the outside of the restaurant. It was as snowy as ever.

In the center of the table is a small lantern with a small fire crystal continuously spinning inside of it, radiating warmth to our seats, which is a cyan-coated sofa with comforts fit for a king.

"May I take your order, Your Highness?" Asked the waitress with a professional smile. On her hand is pen and small notes, ready to write whatever shit we're gonna tell her.

Our orders are quite diverse since every tribe has its own preference for foods. Chiya ordered some kind of golden soup with cassava and aubergine. Hazana ordered rice with boiled eggs, squid, and shrimp, with sambal pencit* as its topping. While Anna and I ordered some spicy foods with glutinous rice as their main.

Well enough about food.

While waiting for our order to arrive, the four of us let out our newly given tablets to the top of the table. I've heard about people in the Shattered World addicted to devices like this, but for us, it's more of curiosity.

"So Hazana, Guntak is the one who created most of the electronic tools and devices up there in the sky right? How do you feel about this creation? Does it hurt your pride? Or make you jealous?" I'm not ashamed for being rude, it was an honest question.

"Hmm…" She glared at her tablet and gave it a proper spin. "Not really, I'm not quite obsessed with tech as most of my brethren. I like energy production and management though."

"Ah, is that so?" I replied in a tone of disappointment.

"But I don't think this thing would anger any Guntak. In fact, they probably will be quite intrigued by the existence of it." She went on. "Just like Survya, we also worshiped the God of Death, just for a different reason."

"Schools and Library in Payunrencaka (Lightning tribe's province), usually keep ravens in their facility. People who got dropped by their feathers believe themselves to be blessed by His Holiness intelligence, and think of it as the best time to get inspired for new inventions or academic studies."

"You know any of this, Chiya?" Both me and Anna stared at the ashen lady.

"Of course, we also have a similar belief." She let out quite a smug.

"How similar?" I showed my suspicion.

"Hehehehe…" She just laughed with a red face like a full-blown pervert.

"Whatever, I stopped having interest." Anna hadn't though, she still wanted to know. "By the way, can you guys open your CrowM (Crow Messenger)?"

"Sure, what you have in mind?" They all spontaneously turned on their tablets and opened the application.

"Create a group for our team." The application asked me for a name, logo, and members.

"Oh right, Sir Karlson said that most of our tasks and assignments will be shared as 'digital files', right?" Hazana replied in question.

"Correct… luckily the first generation left us lots of books and drawings about their world, it makes it easier to understand all of this advanced concept," I comment. "Oh, speaking of which, any of you got a name for our team?"

"Name, isn't Team One enough?" Not a very creative suggestion Chiya…

"I mean like, Sir Mahanta is called Deer Apple, while Sir Asger is called Green Angel. I wanted something like that." I added.

"Well, you're probably gonna get 'Lion Prince' right, Your Highness?" Chiya was once again not very creative.

"I hope not, cause that one is too obvious."

"How about Royal Guard? Our leader is the Crown prince after all." Finally, some proper suggestions, thank you, Anna.

"Isn't that sounds too… official?" Hazana showed her doubt.

"Not really, there's no such thing as a royal guard in the New World, since those who came from the mainline are always so powerful they don't need a bodyguard. Palace guards on the other hand…"

"That's settled then. Quick Your Highness, invite me!" Chiya excitedly jumped around on her seat.

"Aight aight."

I created the group, it has tons of features that'll help us in learning and hunting like file storage, quest tracker, schedule, group notes, and so on. I felt like this device spoiled us a bit too much, I kind of see how this thing created addiction back then in the shattered world.

"We still need a picture to fully complete the group. Hmm… maybe a logo? How do we get a logo?" I asked the team.

"Hmm… every logo in this world is created by Ocean Painter. Even all the tribes' symbols." Anna answered. I know this to be honest I just didn't want anything to do with those fishes.

"Well, we can talk about this later, Your Highness. Our food is here!"
