A Jasmine and Her Seeds pt. 3

"Interesting point of view, team 2, although… you're playing it too save… too save." Mrs. Aalisha sounded sarcastic as if she's mocking how plain that answer was.

"How about you, team 3? What solution can you bring to the table?" She pointed at the lower-left section of this hall, and all our gazes immediately turned toward them.

"Thank you, missus, for giving us the chance."

A boy, haired in cyan-white stood up, with a body fully clothed in robe shaded by the sky and snow. His stares are cold and so does his voice. He's a Fui Malianis (Core), under the name of Kadir Diratama.

"Our team has agreed upon a suggested decision… and refused the proposal from the Kaoma." His tone was disgustingly firm as he said that. He carried an aura of someone who held an iron fist in his hand.

Most S.Iska I've met are usually pretty chill people. Yet him… he sent chills down my spine. Those S.Iska always brought cool breeze along with them, while he flew like a harsh winter. Stone cold.

"The only reason the Kaoma able to accept us with a warm welcome, was because the God of Knowledge presented us as a tech-savvy, cultured, ever so strong savior from the far land outside of their island." He explained with ice embedded in his eyes. I couldn't even see him blinking.

"The King and his team at the time luckily carried out this rumor pretty well spot on." He went on. "They able to infiltrate as a Kaoma like how both of the dragons just did, and obliterate the sieging void. Although Kaoma's power to see aura allowed them to recognize the King and his teammates as human, not one of them."

"Now, most of our relationship with them is about us continuously protecting them from the Suanggi under the Guild's banner."

"If the Kaoma joined us then graduate to become a guild member, and slowly creeps their way up to the ranks, they will no longer need us here and might drive us away from Kaput when they manage to handle the Void on their own."

"I must also add that the Kaoma breeds a lot faster than the entire Shaper and Scientist combined. The painter of course might compete in terms of speed, but most of their population always got their neck slithered through internal and external war."

That's some vision he got there. I'm sure he read a lot about the Shattered World's history. It was betrayal after betrayal back then.

"But I've seen the Kaoma… they are really nice people. I can't see them turning their back on us…" Commented the enchanted noble girl from the Light tribe. She's looking pure and innocent, untainted by the corruption of that kind of mindset.

"You're so naïve miss Ena. I thought your kin were constantly at war with the darkness, yet you remind pure white." He replied with a look of disgust on his gaze. Ah… he's completely devoured by the heat of the moment.

"Oy! That time was long forgotten." Chiya quickly pounced into the argument. She almost jumped from her seat.

"Did you guys forget about the first time Wendira the Chaos Tree ever visited our city? Back then it was nothing more than a Guild Headquarter that we could see every day." Kadir continued to strengthen his argument while ignoring whatever things Chiya just said.

"She killed lots of members and flatten the Headquarter until only the main building remained. The only reason our predecessors survived was that the Ardiansyah personally sent his Avatar directly from hell to stop Chaos Tree's march."

Yeah… father told that story dozens of times. About how shattered his hopes were back then. The army of chaos was able to breach the HQ's wall and a gigantic beast was about to massacre the entire Guild members.

But. At the time most guild members only carried a silver badge on their chest. They only received a 425% increased attribute from the two Guild's Deities. Right now father is already on 8425%, and he is also extremely equipped with all kinds of enhancement and enchantment on his gears.

If the Chaos Tree were to attack again, the Guild would probably manage to fence it.

"You're thinking too far, Kadir." Lovis the snake spear smirked as if he's dealing with an overexcited junior. "You need to realize that the Guild's member doesn't operate individually. Although I'll admit, some of the strong are more than capable to be called a one-man army."

"What's your point, Lovis?" Kadir doesn't react too well to Lovis's response.

"First of all, Kaoma is a Keeper just like Sarma. Their statistic is in the blessed category, which is 1.75x stronger than a normal person. That statistic is lower than the artificial (2.0x) and the mainline (2.5x). The King will obliterate them if they dare to commit some rebellion or shits like that." Lovis confidently explained.

*Ahem* a little sign from the missus to mind his language.

"Ahaha… sorry, missus." He bowed a little with an awkward smile.

"However." Lovis immediately continued. "I fucking love the classes Kaoma might be able to offer to the Guild."

"Language Lovis!" The missus reminded him once more, this time in a harsher tone. The snake spear replied with a gesture of praying hands, he asked for forgiveness with an even more awkward smile.

"The Kaoma has four classes for their males. The females never participate in a war, so I don't know how they'll contribute to the Guild." Lovis proceeded to explain the detail of each class.

"They have a sub-tank, which is sword and shield. Two DPS, which are spear and musket. And one semi-DPS, which is a dagger (Tumbuk Lada)."

"The sub-tank is overall weaker than Pandeka and Wengkow Waraney, but they are immune to all kinds of effects."

"The spear is inferior to the Jawara Tombak, and the musket can even begin to compare to any of the Genka's firearms. But, the two possessed the power to break through any shield and enchantment."

"Lastly the semi-DPS. Tumbuk Lada doesn't deal as high damage as most mages do. However, they have the purging ability which disperses any ongoing effect cast by enemies."

"Chaos is a really annoying element to deal with." He finished with a good chuckle.

"Your point?" I'm not even gonna blame Kadir for asking this.

"Kaoma becoming a Guild member will offer us more benefits rather than a threat." Lovis then proudly cooperate.

"And even if they decided to turn their back on us, the King will massacre all of their Guild affiliates, purge doesn't really bother his combat style." I backed him up. Since I've always wanted to take on some missions with a Kaoma.

After that, the class discussion went on until the bell rang. Well rather than a bell, it's a poetry of violin. The missus excuses herself goodbye till next week, and the class will have 20 minutes of resting time before the next course.
