The gigantic worm that seems to be around twenty meters in height kept growling as it stared at Regis.

The head of a demonic child opened its mouth and spat a ball of black fluid.

Regis only kicked a small rock towards it.

As soon as the rock came into contact with the black fluid, smoke arose as it melted.

Regis stood still, unmoving as he gazed at the monstrosity that has become of his friends.

His expression was calm.

It was terrifyingly calm like that of a tranquil lake without any sign of movement.

However, deep within his eyes was insanity.

Bloodcurdling anger that was threatening to explode at any given second.

Regis sighed as he tightened the grip on his twin daggets.

His figure then blurred in the next second.

The gigantic worm seemed surprised at the sudden disappearance of Regis as it tried to look for its target.

It let out a deafening pained groan as a laceration suddenly appeared on its side.

Unfortunately, the size of the cut compared to its gigantic body was like that of a small cut on a human's finger.

It was superficial, to say the least.

However, even a wound of that size was able to elicit a reaction from the monster.

'It's huge, has high defense, and is seemingly stronger than me in all areas, but…'

Regis analyzed as he kept himself out of the worm's sight.

A wound appeared on the gigantic worm's body as it let out a frustrated roar once again.

'...as I thought. It has low pain tolerance, which might be a result of its inferior mind. In short…'

The monster was strong, but it was mindless.

It had only been over a minute and yet, Regis had already been able to gather information about his opponent.

However, he could also see the flesh wriggling on its body.

'This might mean that its transformation isn't finished yet. So I better make this quick.' Regis thought as a single six-pointed black star glowed on his chest.

Shuikk— Shuikkkk— Shuikkkkk!!!!!

He kept moving around the gigantic worm's body, relentlessly cutting its body with his twin daggers.

'Shit, my knife is too short…'

Regis thought as he noticed that the wounds he was dealing seemed a little too shallow.

Still, he kept attacking.

His relentless attacks came in a flawless and flowing manner.

Like a river that seemed to get stronger with every turn, his body rotated as he endlessly brandished his twin daggers.

And before long, the gigantic worm found itself bleeding from all over its body.

However, the bleeding didn't last long.

Regis squinted his eyes as he saw the overwhelming demonic power of the gigantic worm automatically repairing its wounds.

'Faster… I need to be faster.'

A subtle buzzing sound could be heard as his black star glowed brighter.

Regis disappeared from his place again, appearing at random parts of the gigantic worm's body.

This time, the rate at which he was slashing its body slowly caught up to the rate at which it was healing.

'It's working…!'

Regis's eyes remained bfilled with hatred as he continued his relentless attacks.

All seemed to be going well until…

…Regis saw a pair of eyes staring at him.

And no, there wasn't anyone new in the vicinity.

It didn't belong to the man from earlier, nor did it belong to any person.

As he slashed his dagger, he saw the face of a demonic child in front of him opening its eyes before spewing a ball of black fluid.

"Shit!"

Regis cursed as he cancelled his slash and hurriedly dodged to the side.

He frowned slightly as he observed the eyes of the hundreds of faces of demonic children littered around the worm's body.

Their eyes that was closed earlier were now all opened wide.

They seemed to be staring at Regis, following his every action.

Regis disappeared from his place again and reappeared at the right side of the gigantic worm.

Pchui—!!!

However, what greeted him was a corrosive black ball of fluid.

Expecting this, he dodged to the side.

"This is going to be troublesome…" Regis spoke as he tried to think up of a plan.

Pchui— Pchui— Pchui—

However, the gigantic worm didn't give him any time to concentrate as it spewed tens of black balls of fluids.

Regis gritted his teeth as a few splashes of black fluid still landed on him.

Tightening his grip on his twin daggers, he rushed and attacked the gigantic worm once again.

His rate of attack had significantly slowed down as he needed to dodge the balls of black fluid that was raining upon him.

Karghhhh— Grooghhhhh!!!

The gigantic worm wriggled its body as it let out deafening pained groans.

Rumble— Rumble!!!

Regis grabbed one of the demonic children's faces as the body of the gigantic worm turned, leading him at the top of the monster.

"Let's see if this'll work!!!"

He raised both of his twin daggers before driving it towards the eyes of one of the faces.

KRAGHHHHHH!!!!!

The gigantic worm squirmed once more as it tried to crush Regis.

He immediately let go and ran across the gigantic worm's body, stabbing the eyes of the demonic faces in the process.

This led to the gigantic worm squirming more as it produced deafening roars.

Just as Regis felt that he found a way to kill it…

Clank—!!!

A loud sound of his dagger clashing against something solid permeated in his ears.

"Fuck, what now?"

Regis turned his head and was shocked at what greeted his sight.

A thin veil of demonic power was now covering the eyes of the hundred demonic human faces on the gigantic worm's body.

It looked like every face was wearing a pair of sunglasses.

"Shit…"

Regis cursed out loud.

Still, he didn't give up and proceeded to attack the gigantic worm once again.

This time, he only targeted a single face.

Crack!!!

It took him about three full-powered stabs on a singular point at the face's "sunglasses" before he managed to make it crack.

Hope lit up in Regis's eyes once again as he kept attacking with both power and precision.
