Dealing with Death.
Dashing through the corridors, Cain and Manny eventually stumbled across the scene of the explosion.
To say it was a disaster, would be an understatement. The sound of swords clashing reached their ears. Cain and Manny looked at each other and made their way into the upper courtyard where the sounds were coming from.
Immediately, a wave of scalding hot air hit them, causing they to stop in their tracks.
Cain's mind spun as he took in several things at once...
Three individuals were working together to fight off an entire host of guards. There were two individuals lying in a pool of blood behind them.
Cain felt his heart grow cold. Meanwhile, Manny didn't even get through a single thought before he launched himself at the guards. They had stopped on the way out to retrieve their weapons, so they were now properly outfitted.
