(CHAPTER 4: NIGHT NIGHT SLEEP TIGHT)
A figure leap down from one tree to another, before finally landing down on a patch of flat area, doing to barrel roll and stopping.
"I think we are safe." She look around, her rabbit ears twitch like radar, detecting whether there are danger around them. "Lez m-e, go-o" "Oh, sorry there." She stuck her tongues out, seems to be a common action of her, before opening her arms. I drop flat to the ground, before letting a huge gasp of fresh air. That would be one hell of an embarrassing way to die. I let out a dry cough, and glare at her.
"Didn't realize mine is that big." She place her hand beneath her breast and toyed. I glare at her, she didn't seem to even notice and continue that action for fuck's sake. "Stop doing that!" I roared, she seems shocked, as she really stop it. "Don't act innocent! What do you want for me!?" "You?" She tilted her head a little and stare at me. "What would I need from you, you are just too weak." She said jokingly, whether she is real too stupidly pure or she is being sarcastic. "Tsk." I turn around, ignoring her. I suddenly felt like an asshole, she is the one who bought me to safety and saved my ungrateful butt back at the alley, is this the way I am supposed to treat her?
Maybe I already get used to my identity as The Creator.
"Wanna sleep?" She patted a patch of soft grass beside her, she seems to forget that I am mad at him just moments ago. But whatever. "Sure." I lied on it beside her, it was sure a unique experience. No king sized bed in a posh room, not maid squeezing with you nor gods calling you to solve Galactic level threat. It was a peace quintet feeling, that I've yearn for quite long. Only me, Aiko, the moon, the stars and the gently rustling of the grass as the wind blew.
"S-sorry." I bit my lips for a moment before finally blurted out those words. "I didn't mean to yell at you back then." Damn is it what it feels to apologize? Back then I only heard people apologizing to me, begging and pleading as if they are about to die. But this felt different, it felt like something big, a boulder was freed from your soul. It felt, soothing. "Why didn't you apologize silly." Aiko rub my hair, I felt a warm sensation tingling in me. "I am searching for a companion long ago, it was quite boring and dull to be honest, to be alone."
"Why didn't you chose the rest? There must've be more of us, right?" I asked, two of us continue to gaze of the star as there is a moment of silence. The star of this dimension seems truly beautiful with all type of colors, the mystic purple clouds gave a touch to it alongside the crystal blue moon hanging on the sky frame. It was like a masterpiece hand drawn by the best artist ever to born, it was… indescribable.
"You know, people change." Aiko spoke, snapping me back from my thoughts. "In survivability, we change." Her voice seems choked, I sat up and stare at her. "You wanna hear a story?" Aiko turn around and look at me, her ruby eyes sparkle under the night sky. "Sure." "Long ago there was a family of four bunnies, papa bunny, mama bunny, sister bunny and brother bunny. The papa loved the mama and so do her. They live happily in the woods. But then one day, there was war." A small drip of crystal rolled out from her eyes and dripped onto the grass beneath her.
"Papa was killed because he was not a human, although he did nothing wrong. And during his execution, mama, brother and sister bunny need to watch the entire process and cheer in happiness, if not they too will be punished." The fuck is wrong with this society. "After execution, three bunnies left. They have no food, and no money. One day brother bunny went out to the woods to play, but he never return. Mama search for him, found him chained up, his ears and tails cut off. Brother went with Papa. Mama didn't dare to go to the woods, mama scared, and soon mama leave with the rest, only sister bunny." She stare at me, I didn't expect beneath that face was a story like this.
"So bunny run, sister bunny run and run, just for home." Aiko voice seemed even more choke, as if she was at the brink of collapsing, it sure sucks to have a backstory like that. "Bunny done nothi-ng wron-ng." Oh god she is crying. "B-unn-y j-us-t wa-nt ho-me. Waaa-" Shit, shit shit, what should I do? I stare at her as she bawled, her cries seem eerily pitiful in the silent plains. I raise my hand, not knowing what to do, some sort of panic attack was urging within me, I would've get a stroke, if not die on the spot.
"Hey, hey, hey." I patted her by the back of her head, brushing through the furry ears. "At least you got me, and we got each other." The fuck is this, shouldn't I calm her down? Well this is the best I could think, or act of. She seems to be calmed down by that and look at me, her red eyes seems like a star after all that crying. "Thanks Rey." She hugged me out of the blue, I would've struggle, but for the sake of all those stories, let me be generous for once.
"Bunny got you." She rub her damn wet squishy cheeks on mine, her whisper in my ear sent me a shiver down my spine. "Bunny got Rey…" Aiko's voice fades, and she seems to be drifted to sleep. "Damn it, girls." I turn around and try to struggle out softly, but it won't budge. Her arms and legs seems to locked onto me, and hey I ain't complaining.
"Stupid bunny." I stare at her and whisper under my breath, actually I have no idea why I said it but whatever. She seems to hear it and thought I wasn't being sarcastic as she let out a light chuckle.
"Hehe, stupid bunny"
