From the Eastern Forest an army of the likes no one had ever seen in ages came marching out. The only time one would see an army of that size is when many kingdoms pooled their armies together or an army of monsters lead by a demon lord. Spies from both the kingdom and the demon lord quickly learned that the army is made up of nothing but women. Different sizes and shapes, with some beast women in the mix, but all of them are women. All are heavily armed and equipped, they have no camp followers with them but did have a wagon train being pulled by giant women who all stand over 9 feet tall.

With 2 large wooden ships that are on wheels leading the wagon train, serving as a mobile base for the leader of the army. Being pulled by 10 giant women who stand over 20 feet tall, being big enough to grab human size races in one hand and toss them around. With archers armed with crossbows on the look out on the ship. The second ship is a mobile slaughterhouse where beasts and animals hunted by the scouts and soldiers are processed.

Unknown to the sites and watchers of the army, inside the ship is a gateway to act as a supply line for the marching army. The wagons following the ship do have some supplies but the gateway inside the ship is the real supply line and how army can get fresh troops. The giant army is more for a show of force than anything else as they could had easily just waited till the ship or a scouting force could setup a portal.

The army use the roads causing much panic as they come near villages and cities, the local nobles and leaders of the settlements feared that they be attack. One noble had ordered a scorched-earth policy around the walled city to prevent the army from gathering resources, when they lay siege to the city. Which the army just march pass, leaving the noble to face the backlash of his rash decision that left the city with no crops and many farm animals having been butchered with the meat not taken being left to rot. Leaving the breeding stocks very small and will take years to recover from.

The King a former adventurer and current ruler of the country, hearing this called a meeting with his advisors and policymakers, in particular his personal inner circle of: an elderly minister, a red-haired cardinal, a tan-skinned court mage, a royal guardsman in silver armor, a Gold-ranked Padfoot adventurer-turned-advisor, and a silver-haired attendant. He earned his frame and position by defeating the last demon lord and sealing him in the Dungeon of the Dead. And he's been busy as King in dealing with the new demon lord.

His old teammate, Sword Maiden doesn't hold very high opinions for how the King distributes the country's military, especially since he believes that the Adventurer's Guild should be more than sufficient to counter the Frontier's threats. Because he keeps most of his forces stationed at the Capital to ward off demons, a lot of villagers are left to fend for themselves without expecting a response from the government. Even when there is a goblin infestation in a city's sewers, Sword Maiden has to request Goblin Slayer because her requests to him for military assistance are brushed off. Most of the military is exhausted and suffered heavy losses from fighting the Demon King's armies, and any army he does raise to deal with threats like goblins will be peasant levies who cannot stay in the field for very long and will be poorly suited to fighting in tight, close quarters like ruins, sewers, and caves. Adventurers don't cost money to be deployed, and are much more experienced, well-armed, and motivated.

The news of an army that marched out of the eastern forest has King worried, as well as all the other kingdoms. With how the military of the kingdoms have been exhausted by the war with the demon lord's army of monsters, an army of that size is all but unstoppable. From the reports, the army is at least over 60,000 made up of mix soldiers and races. So far they haven't attack any settlement but once they do, there won't be an army big enough to stop from doing what they want for at least a couple of weeks to months. Seeing how most lords couldn't afford to arm more than a few hundred soldiers in their settlements. (1)

"Any idea where they're heading?" King ask the people in the room with him. Silver-haired attendant is serving everyone some tea as she pushes a chart around the table.

"If they keep heading west, they be in the demon lord's territory in a day or two. They're covering ground faster then any army of that size should be able to cover," elderly minister said.

"They're only stopping to take care of any monster nest or bandit hideout. They're using scouts to find them and smaller groups of soldiers break away and handle the problem, no less than 50 are sent. People have tried to talk to them but they just continue on whatever they're doing," the red-haired cardinal said.

"The army are connected to the barbarian women. They follow the same plan of attack, they just use overwhelming numbers and are well trained and equipped. The spies and adventures sent to the Eastern forest have seen the factories in the center of the forest where all the weapons and equipment were made. They been preparing themselves for this and have the numbers to just overwhelm any other army they will meet," tan-skinned court mage said.

"We don't have the force to meet them in battle, we simply don't have enough soldiers. In the open field they will just overwhelm us. The only sure thing is that if they remain on course they will end up in the demon lord's territory. Best case is they're going to there kill the demon lord, worst case, they join up," royal guardsman in silver armor said.

"I ask around and the Eastern Forest use to be the domain of the Black Barren an overlord tyrant. The few Illirian elves who survived the war with the demon lord of that time, remember well how powerful he was with his magical goblin like minions. They have all said that if he was alive when the demon lord attack, he might had been able to kill the demon lord. They explain that the minions are created by harvesting the life force of anything that the minions or the overlord killed, stronger the being is and the more life force can be harvested. It's not that hard to figure out that the women are the new minions of a new Overlord. Someone must have discovered how the Black Barren was able to create his minions and made their own, but as women. And with how they have been hunting down any dangerous animals and monsters to the point where they're all but wipe out in many places, there be thousands of them now," a Gold-ranked Padfoot adventurer-turned-advisor explains.

"How long do we have till they reach the demon lord?" The King ask.

"At the rate they're going. At least 4 days," royal guardsman said.

"Hopefully they're on the side of good," the King said.

"Or it's just the new Overlord wanting to have no competition," Gold-ranked Padfoot said.

2 Days Later -

The two army's, one of warrior women and the other the demon lord's army made up of goblins, orcs, trolls, ogres, cyclops, giants, dark elves, duergars, humans, hydras, lycanthropes, demons, gnolls, golems, imps, minotaurs, beastmen, and other monsters. Spies, adventures and other people have been following the army of women and were surprised at the speed the army were able to travel. What would had taken a similar army to travel, they managed to do in in half. Unknown to the people watching the army, the warrior women have been taking shifts on the march with the tried women being replaced by fresh ones by the gateway in the hold of one of the ships, so that they could travel faster.

The battle began with a volley of magic spells cast by the female magic users, who didn't even wait for their soldiers to form ranks like the demon army did. They launch spells after spells on the front ranks of the demon army, the enemy spell casters launch their own spells, but were stop as magic barriers were casted. The front rank of the demon army charge forward hearing the war horn blowing.

Giant women carrying already constructed trebuchets between them came running forward, a crew that operates the siege weapons, followed by other giant women who carried carts filled with wine barrels, all filled with a mixture that will keep on burning till there is nothing left or starved of oxygen. In another time it would be known as white phosphorus. The giant women quickly set the trebuchets up and ready to fire, and the crew launch the barrels into the air. Where the mages struck the barrels with fireballs, sending burning powder onto the army below. The demon lord's army began screaming as their flesh began burning from the burning embers raining down on them, trolls being weak to fire as well as the goblins panic as they ran trying to beat the flames off of them. More barrel are flung onto the battle field some bursting into flaming rain while others fell to the ground and burst into giant fireballs once any spark of fire came in contact with the powder.

With a wall of fire engulfing the front ranks, the flying monsters were ordered to take to the skies ready to strike from above. Gargoyles, harpies, griffins, manticores, winged demons, dragons, and other wing monsters flew towards the warrior women. They flew high so that they would be very hard to hit by the archers firing range.

Carrying what look to be ballistas but are giant crossbows, more giant women fired giant crossbow bolts into the flying foes. Because of their sheer size and power being fired from a crossbow, the bolts tore the larger flying enemies to shreds. The giant women are able to easily punch through the thick armored scales of the dragons, and because of how accurate the crossbows are, the giant women aimed for the dragon's wings, causing many to fall to the ground no longer able to fly.

The smaller fliers were able to get through and drove down to attack the enemy force. Only to be met with fireworks that are being launch into the sky, causing panic in the air as the fireworks exploded, lighting up the sky with light, smoke and noise. Some of the fireworks struck the fliers sending them falling to the ground below or caused the others to fly away in blind panic.

The demon lord watch, as his first wave is halted from the firestorm that has created a wall of fire. The aerial attack is being shot down before they could get close, with fireworks being used to keep the fliers away. The demon lord used his massive power to shake the very earth itself, causing the ground beneath the burning front line of his army to be lifted up and slam on top of the attacking force. Crushing the giant women and magic users, clearing the way for his second wave to charge ahead.

The demon lord's army seeing the fire gone and the siege weapons destroyed by their lord, they rallied and charge forward. The climb over the rubble and sees the shield wall the enemy has formed, with spears ready. Arrows rained down on the charging army, as well as stones from slings on the charging demon army, cutting or knocking many down where they were trampled to death by their own side, or cause the ones behind them to trip, causing pile ups of bodies.

The demon army kept on charging forward and bursting from the shield wall came, what would be known as cannons, each loaded with grapeshot. The cannons all fired at once, sending iron balls the size of tennis balls into the mass of the charging army. Creating overlapping cones of death across the battle line, the sheer power of the cannon shots rip through bodies, armored or not, or how protected they are. Even the ones who could and did take the shots without it ripping through them, still suffered from the impact, taking internal trauma. (2)

The ships that have been turned to their sides, revealed firing slots on their sides with cannons poking out of the holes. The cannon crews open fire, along with the trebuchets launching rocks on the demon army. The cannons once fired are replaced with a new cannon ready to fire, the spent one is swabbed down with a wet sponge on a pole being stuff down the muzzle to put out any sparks, so that new shot can be put in, and the giant woman who did the reloading and firing of said cannon waited in line to fire again, which is 4 cannons deep.

The cannon fire and the other long range attacks, are slaughtering the demon army. In another world, the scene would be that of World War 1 where generals using out dated tactics send waves of soldiers into machine gun and cannon fire, killing thousands within minutes. The enemy kept on firing and slaughtering the in coming army as they kept on charging, being pushed by the ones behind them. Till the cannon fire stop, not because of there aren't anymore enemies to hit, but because there is no more ammo left to fire.

The demon army seeing this charge forwards rallying again. They slammed into the shield wall and were cut down as they beat and tried to get through but were cut down by the warrior women who are 20 women deep. Stabbing and pushing forward and replaced by the woman behind her. Any woman who got cut down is quickly replaced by a new woman, the battle went on for hours. Clashing and retreating and clashing again, with neither side seemingly to run out of bodies to throw at each other.

Elsewhere -

With all eyes on the massive army marching towards the demon lord's land, it was easy for Sunset to have a small team of her minions to sneak around the Demon Lord's forces and get behind the main army. With such a massive army approaching, the demon lord had called upon all of his forces together to fight the army, with only a few soldiers left to keep order in his strong holds.

A small team wouldn't do anything but for one simple fact, they're able to create a gateway. Once the gateway was open, minions poured out of it reaching hundreds of thousands. Not as well armed as the one fighting the demon army, but they make that up in sheer numbers. The march to where the battle is taking place with Sunset having joined her minions, lifting a giant cannon with her telekinesis that weights over 100 tons. Joined by 3 more cannons, all made to kill the demon lord.

Sunset spotted the Demon Lord in the back of his army. He's a massive humanoid with purple flames coming out of his skull-shaped head. He's been using his vast magical powers to launch attacks on the army of women before him. Creating holes in their line but are quickly closed before his army could break through. They just seem endless as reinforcements just keep on coming to fill the holes he creates.

The roar of the battlefield is such that he didn't even heard the cannon being fired behind him, but he did felt the cannonball striking him, breaking his back. The demon lord's scream of pain cause his army to phase as they turn to see their lord fall. Before he could recover, the second cannon fired and strike him while he was down, followed by the 3rd cannon firing at point blank range, reducing him to a torso. The last cannon fired as it was press up against his head, pressing against the ground, destroying the cannon but also destroyed the demon lord. (3)

The sight of their lord killed, cause the demon army to lose their will to fight. They would had run but for the fact that the new army that appeared behind them swarm all over them from behind. Pulled them down in sheer numbers, pinning them between the two armies of minions. Sunset joined her minions in the slaughter, using her magic and telekinesis to fill the sky with lightning that fried the flying enemy soldiers, and ripping the ground forces in two. With each death more and more minions are spawned and join on the attack, till there was none left to fight.

The people watching the battle witness the complete destruction of the demon lord's army that day. The victorious army of women mop up the ones still alive on the battlefield, jabbing weapons into the still living bodies, carting them them away. The bodies of the fallen women disappeared after awhile, leaving just their clothes and weapons behind.

One thing was made clear, the New Overlord now rules the lands that once belong to the demon lord. With all the other countries fearing what the Overlord is planning next.

Author's Notes -

1 - The High Middle Ages were also somewhat like this. The French under Duke William of Normandy conquered all of England with only 8,000 men, and the Kingdom of England was estimated to have only been able to field 14,000 well-equipped troops across the entirety of the country, or 1% of its then-population of 1.5 million. When considering that, 1,000 years earlier, the Romans needed 30,000 men (four legions plus auxiliaries) to conquer what would later become England, and that 400 years later, more than 50,000 English troops would fight at the Battle of Towton, the armies involved were quite tiny indeed. This was a large part of why Europe became so fractured and decentralized in this time; every petty lord could afford a castle or fortify their city to at least some degree, but the large well-drilled and well-supplied armies needed to take them just didn't exist anymore.

2 - Like how in real life when someone wearing armor is shot, they still can be laid out by the impact of the bullet. Which is why trauma plates are a thing for armor.

3 - I'm not doing the whole immune to everything but one kind of weapon. It doesn't make sense at all, with it only making sense in a videogame. Outside of that, it doesn't make sense as while a handgun won't do anything against a battleship, doesn't mean a battleship is immune to all guns, just that you need a bigger one. Superman can be knock out with a big enough gun being used on him, as you just need more power for it to work.
