FADED MEMORIES

This story begins far, far away, like twenty years ago, in a place called Iringa, in the southern highlands of Tanzania. its a cold-weathered area with lots of green vegetation and people working very hard just to get a minimum wage or to afford a daily meal. The most notable thing about the people of Iringa is that they are very kind and generous. This is the kind of place where cold-hearted and mean people do not belong. The Iringa region is famous for being inhabited by four main tribes: the Hehe tribe, the Bena tribe, the Pangwa tribe, and the Kinga tribe. All these tribes live in peace and harmony, thanks to the long peace of the country since independence.

My life at this place is filled with beautiful memories of my childhood as I walked and ran through the streets of Don Bosco and some other streets I cannot possibly remember now. but its been a life I can never forget due to the beautiful and sad things that I have been through. And speaking of bad memories, I remember the death of my brother George. Though I was so young, like 7 years old, I still remember the day he passed away. This is not some memory someone can choose to forget, you know. he was in standard four when he passed away and he was affected so badly my parents, especially my mother, Magreth

there are alot of faded memories i have about my childhood in Iringa, but i still remember a few in detail
