Diana's P. O. V

I got on my feet, still feeling a bit drowsy, mom and Nia were just outside, discussing some person I've been kept away from. Or some thing that I had no clue about.

My hands pushed open my bedroom door, luckily for me, they were both at the middle of the stairs, talking in whispers.

Mom was the first one to notice my presence, she froze up first before instincts whispered to her to come over.

"What are you doing out of bed Mija?." She came closer to me, with the intention of shoving me back into my room.

"Who are you two talking about mom?." I came out directly, not mincing my words. Her facial expression hinted just how nervous my question made her.

"We weren't saying anything, it's probably just the side effects messing with you." Mom was a horrible liar when she tried to, if I kept pushing her, she'd talk.
