"Useless. It's all useless," Gilgamesh said as he closed his eyes with folded arms.

"I will teach you to rely less on..." Gilgamesh opened his eyes and saw the boy in front of him, causing Gilgamesh's eyes to widen in surprise.

"Be gone!" the boy muttered under his breath and began targeting spots on Gilgamesh's body that would shut him down in an instant, but instead found Gilgamesh in the air.

'So fast, even when up close!' the boy thought and was about to join Gilgamesh in the air when Gilgamesh threw several kunai at him. The boy scoffed at them, dodged them easily, and bent his knees slightly to jump and finish his attack in the air.

His eyes widened when he saw the kunai coming back at him from behind and he turned around immediately to deflect them with the tips of his fingers, which caused bleeding.

'What? How? Are his blades that sharp or...' the boy questioned himself in thought as he watched the kunais return to Gilgamesh, who landed from his jump.

'There is chakra on the kunai, which I can see. But every now and then it flickers out like the flame on a candlestick. Can he not control his chakra properly? No. If that were the case, the kunai wouldn't be properly coated with chakra to damage me,' the boy analysed as he resumed his stance.

Gilgamesh charged at the white-eyed boy since he couldn't wait for him to attack again.

"Attacking a Hyuga in close quarters? You really must be ignorant of who you are facing!" the boy commented and crouched lower.

But the boy wasn't expecting Gilgamesh to be faster than he had calculated as his chest was hit hard and his body was sent flying backwards.

The boy's eyes caught a figure blurring past him as he tried to find footing to stop his flight.

Gilgamesh was behind him before he could even realise it and sent him back to his initial position with a love tap to the back.

'He's fast! No wonder he was confident!' the boy thought as he coughed out saliva.

Finding his footing faster, the boy adjusted himself and cleaned his mouth.

"Who are you?" the boy asked.

"Your master-to-be. You are already losing. What's your name?" Gilgamesh asked.

The boy, clearly irritated that he still hadn't touched Gilgamesh, sighed, "I am Neji."

"And I am your master, Gilgamesh. But you will call me master," Gilgamesh said, leaning against a tree in the courtyard.

"We are not done yet. You haven't defeated me," Neji said as he took a deep breath and crouched.

"You dodged all my Gentle Fist attacks," Neji began.

"Haha, they were so gentle that none of them landed on me," Gilgamesh chuckled.

"Eight Trigrams Thirty-Two Palms!" Neji cried out loud as he envisioned himself at the centre of the Eight Trigrams.

"Huh?" Gilgamesh muttered and saw Neji performing a series of moves that connected to him.

Gilgamesh wasted no time twisting his body out of range of Neji's attacks, but at the same time, he was not too far away from Neji so he could counter.

"Sixty-Four Palms!" Neji's eyes widened as he made his attacks faster than before to match Gilgamesh's dodging speed.

At the end of his attack, none had landed on Gilgamesh.

"Are you done?" Gilgamesh said, resting his palm on Neji's cheekbone.

Neji couldn't believe that a person who wasn't a Hyuga could dodge all sixty-four palms as if he had seen the attack many times.

"Gentle slap," Gilgamesh uttered as he backhanded Neji with the hand placed on his cheek, sending Neji flying two feet away from him.

"Who are you?" Neji asked as he sat up and rubbed his cheek.

"Did I slap you too hard that you forgot what I said?" Gilgamesh said and then clicked his tongue.

"My genjutsu has worn off. Your clansmen will soon be here," Gilgamesh said as he looked away from Neji.

"Genjutsu?" Neji thought to himself.

"That aside," Gilgamesh said as he began to hover above ground before Neji, who dropped his jaw in surprise.

"You know who your master is now, right?" Gilgamesh asked.

Neji agreed to a deal and found it difficult in his heart to go against the results since he felt his honour was on the line.

"Fine. But this makes me serve the main family as a branch family member," Neji pointed to a seal inscription on his head.

"Don't worry about that. Seals are my forte. I can unseal it for you if you meet my requirements," Gilgamesh said and flew away.

For a second, Neji believed what Gilgamesh said as his heart beat with hope... for a second. He couldn't believe that such a chance would come to him in his training grounds.

"NEJI!" A Hyuga guard rushed to Neji, prompting Neji to stand and hide the handprint on his face with his long hair.

"NEJI! DID YOU SEE A GOLDEN-HAIRED CHILD AROUND HERE? LORD HIASHI IS LOOKING FOR HIM!" the guard demanded, waiting for Neji's response.

"No. Now excuse me, I have to train," Neji answered coldly and went back to practising his techniques.

The guard looked at him with pity and left to find Gilgamesh.

---

Gilgamesh ran back to the library to finish his reading on Yang Release and left the library at noon to the forest to practice what he had learned.

Gilgamesh also mastered his earth release to the point he didn't need hand signs, just like his fire release and wind release. Therefore, he started practising his earth release like Captain Yamato, who could make buildings with his earth release.

Gilgamesh's mana flow increased once more in his body as he opened his eyes and could view the Hokage's mansion from the forest where he trained, smiling to himself.

Gilgamesh began developing lightning jutsu after he made a building with earth release.

Lightning storms and thunderclaps could be heard from one part of the forest. Only a few people in the village knew it was Gilgamesh's doing and avoided that area at all costs.

Mura also trained in another part of the forest and would be fired up whenever he could hear or feel the effects of his master's training.

An underground organisation soon released a bounty on a particular shinobi.
