ANBU TRASH!

Gilgamesh quickly ran out of the Hokage mansion and up the rooftops of various buildings while tracking the bandaged ninja who still managed to move rather quickly on the ground but not fast enough to be considered a run. He felt a bit of bloodlust from his former Anbu comrades. He had disgraced them by not just losing to a chunin ninja but to a child. He could have handled the situation differently if he hadn't underestimated the boy from the start. His loss was sealed the moment he underestimated Gilgamesh. Knowing his former comrades, they would want to eliminate anything that would stain their hard work and prestige, so he had to get help quickly.

He thought about hiding in his clan and never coming out since he would feel safe and protected there. Unknown to him, a three-man Anbu squad was already tailing him and spotted Gilgamesh following their target as well.

"Fool! I will escort you to your clan. Thanks to your outrageous outburst, three Anbu ninjas are following us," Gilgamesh said as he landed next to the bandaged ninja who was surprised to see Gilgamesh.

"What is your name?" Gilgamesh asked the stunned ninja.

"… Kai. Kai Inuzaka," Kai responded after a minute of thought. He figured if he was bound to die at the hands of his former comrades he would go out without lying.

"You bastard! Because of you, I am being hunted down like a dog!" Kai scolded.

"You dare bite the finger that feeds you? The only reason I am keeping you alive is that I want to kill you myself later in the future, but I guess you are not even worth it!" Gilgamesh said as he used one arm to secure Kai and jumped from a clothing line all the way up to a secluded rooftop covered by trees.

Three masked ninjas of varying heights landed on the secluded rooftop ten seconds later.

"Please, Gilgamesh. I am sorry, I will do anything!" Kai said as he recognized his former comrades even though they were masked.

"Ah… Lord Gilgamesh, I was wrong! I shouldn't have addressed you like that! Please!" Kai said as tears and mucus ran down his face.

"Even a dog knows where its bread is buttered. You blew your chance at living. You guys can have him; I will take my leave first!" Gilgamesh said as he left the scene with a ninja jump.

At this point, Kai was sprawled on the ground, begging Gilgamesh's figure that was disappearing in the distance.

"Unbelievable!" one of the masked ninjas said.

"How unsightly!" another said.

"It's quite absurd that this trash used to be our teammate and somehow made it to the root. Lord Danzo says he has no need for a dog whose fangs have been removed. Repent of your sins with your death," another masked ninja said as they all dealt a quick and final blow to Kai. It was painless, and not a sound was made. His body never made it back to his family as Danzo ordered for the body to be cremated.

Gilgamesh ran to the training field, where he met Shisui and found him there training.

Releasing a short sigh, Shisui approached Gilgamesh, "And what do you want now?" Shisui asked in annoyance.

"Hmm, what's with this attitude?" Gilgamesh asked as he activated his seal function embedded in Shisui, causing Shisui to bend in pain.

"The only decent thing about you is your complete genjutsu, your body flicker technique that might be even slower than the Raikage's movement technique, even in combat Kakashi would defeat you as long as the both of you only use the three tomoe sharingan. And yet here you are, looking smug, acting all high and mighty. Your clan is on the verge of collapse, but you never thought of arranging a meeting between Fugaku, the Uchiha clan leader and Hiruzen the Third Hokage?" Gilgamesh remarked as he looked unimpressed.

Gilgamesh had also been updated about the ninja world thanks to Asuma's orientation and occasional Chunin gatherings, that's why he knows of the Raikage and classified information.

"Kakashi? Don't make me laugh he wouldn't even be able to know what hit him," Shisui responded quickly.

"That would have been the case if Kakashi didn't know you and what you are capable of. He is a rare talent who was mentored by The Fourth Hokage. He earned his nicknames in battle. He is an exceptional ninja that I would have loved to include in my plans but I digress. But you have the Mangeyko sharingan unlocked so that's the big decider anyway. Teach me your body flicker technique; I need it for now till I remember—I mean develop a better technique," Gilgamesh ordered as Shisui massaged his temples to calm himself.

Three hours passed, and Gilgamesh could already imitate the technique but could only do it twice in a row.

'Impressive! No, this is beyond impressive. It took me a long time to develop and master the technique since I needed a quick and effective way to take out enemy ninjas during the ninja war. What a monster! I don't even want to think about what he could do when he's older. Would he even have any peers by then?' Shisui was lost in thought then looked back to check on Gilgamesh but didn't find him there.

'There it is again. It's like I am training a ghost that I can't track! He appears to be here but isn't. His chakra concealment jutsu is top tier.' Shisui thought as he body flickered away to meet Itachi in the clan.

After a few months of training with Shisui, Gilgamesh already learnt the body flicker technique in a week and went on to learn fire-style techniques and shuriken jutsu. Another week passed he visited the ninja library.

After reading up on kekkei genkai in the ninja library, Gilgamesh formulated some theories and wanted to try them out. And what better way to test them out than on a mission? With that in mind, he visited the Hokage mansion but requested an appointment with the Hokage's advisor.

"You know you have not carried out your duty of fulfilling your monthly mission quota, right?" Shikaku asked in a bored tone.

"I know. I have been supervising shipments and escorting feudal lords within the village. Give me something that will involve combat!" Gilgamesh demanded.

"Well, there is a merchant that is travelling to the hidden sand village and would like to have his goods supplied to his shop there," Shikaku said as he picked up a file from his desk.

"But as for escorting the merchant himself, he requested that two jounins escort him so you will be going ahead and taking his goods as well," Shikaku ended the mission details and prepared himself for the child in front of him to start bugging him.

"That would be perfect!" Gilgamesh said as he accepted the mission quickly.

"But you need a squad. Your captain will be Itachi Uchiha for this mission since he is your senior at the chunin level,"

 Shikaku said as he saw a frown on Gilgamesh's face.

"I can just do this on my own," Gilgamesh responded.

"No, you can't. You haven't handled a mission like this so a more experienced member will be your captain," Shikaku said firmly.

"… Who else then?" Gilgamesh asked, his mood sour.
