Gift (Katsuki Bakugou x Reader)

The is the story of you and Katsuki Bakugou as a married couple. I accidentally creates kids using her Quirk after bumping into you two. Now, you and you your husband have to take care of the kids for one month until they disappear. Will you let the brats vanish after one month has passed, ...or are you going to give them names and become their parents? This story is based off of a IzukuxKatsuki dounjinshi. I changed it a bit to make it a Reader x Katsuki Bakugou fanfic.

Your Gift

"No, way! There's actually a Quirk that can create children?!" Exclaimed your childhood friend, Eijiro Kirishima (a.k.a The Sturdy Hero - Red Riot), after you told him about you and Katsuki's situation.

It was Katsuki's turn to watch over the kids and you were on Patrol with Red Riot. Since the streets were mostly peaceful, you decided to tell Kirishima about your encounter with Gift and the appearance of the children.

"Yeah, and if we don't give them names before their time is up, they'll disappear." You replied.

"Then, why aren't you guys giving them names?"

You looked at your red haired friend in confusion.

"I mean... didn't you and Bakugou wanted kids? I remembered how upset he was when both of you got the bad news. This could be your chance to become parents."

You stopped your tracks. Kirishima was right. You and Katsuki did want to become parents, but after finding out that you were infertile and sterile, you both gave up on that goal. This could be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Who knows when a chance like this will happen again?

As time passed, you started to grow more attached to the children every day. You felt so close to them and made so many great memories with them that you couldn't imagine you and Katsuki's life without them.

"..... Katsuki, you know.... Next week..... They're going to disappear already...." You said sadly as you looked at the calendar with the passed days crossed out.

"That's good. They'll be gone before Christmas." Katsuki replied nonchalantly from the dining table. "We won't need to go through the hassle of preparing cake or presents for them. How relieving." Your husband's back was facing you, so you couldn't see his facial expression. Does he really not care about the kids disappearing soon? "Hurry up and go to bed..."

You didn't say anything. You just sighed, put down the calendar, and went to bed without even saying goodnight to him. Maybe he forgot about wanting kids... or maybe... he just didn't want any to begin with.

You didn't have to go to work the next day, so you and the boy went to the park together while his sister stayed at home with Katsuki.

"Christmas is coming soon, is there anything you want?" You asked the boy.

The boy clenched onto the chains of the swing he was on before answering you with a sad look on his face.

"Hey, (Y/n), why don't Sis and I have names?" Your eyes widened in surprise at the child's question. Tears welled up in the boy's eyes as he continued. "I saw on TV, where they say that your name is the first thing your dad and mom give you. I don't need birthday presents or Christmas gifts... I just want a name..." Tears streamed down the boy's cheeks as he tries to wipe them away. "Say, (Y/n)... can you try asking Katsuki... I tried to be good and didn't snack at all yesterday, so maybe he'll agree..."

You silently looked down at the ground, not knowing what to say to the boy. One thing that did come to mind was that you were going to keep these children no matter what. You just couldn't stand the thought of these kids disappearing after spending so much time with them. You'll just have to convince Katsuki somehow to let you give the children names so that they won't vanish. Even if it means begging on your hands and knees, or leaving him...

Back at home, Katsuki was reading a book in the living room while the sister of the boy drew in her notebook.

"I had a dream last night." The girl said as she continued to draw with a crayon. "I'll tell you 'bout it, but you can't tell (Y/n), okay? I met God in Heaven." Katsuki put down the book he was reading and listened to what the girl wanted to say. "Brother was there, too. We were eating lots and lots and lots of candies in the sky. Oh, but Katsuki and (Y/n), you weren't there, so I was kinda sad." After the girl finished her drawing of you and Katsuki, she stretched her arms out towards Katsuki. "Katsuki, I want huggie! Up, up!"

Katsuki picked up the girl and sat her on his lap. Katsuki stared at her for a brief moment before speaking in a surprisingly calm voice.

"Want me to make you a cake even more delicious than the candies in the sky?"

The girl's eyes lit up and she smiled big. "Really!? Thank you so much, Katsuki! I love you!"

After hearing that, the ash-blonde hugs the child as if his life depended on it. The girl thought something was wrong with Katsuki, so she tries to comfort him. However, there was nothing wrong with Katsuki. He just remembered something he didn't know why he gave up on.

When you returned home, you told the boy to go wash up so that you can be alone with Katsuki. You've been mentally going over in your head what you were going to say and do in order to convince Katsuki to not let the kids disappear.

"Hey, Katsuki, can we talk?" You called out. You didn't hear a reply which made you a little bit worried. You found him in the kitchen and walked up to him. "Katsuki? Why didn't you answer me? Hey, Katsuki, what's wrong?" You shook him to snap him out of whatever trance he was in. "What's the matter? Did you hurt yourself--?!"

You noticed the calendar on the counter and your eyes widened. It looked like Your husband furiously scratched out the remaining days with a pen. That means...

"... (Y/n)." His voice was low as he spoke. He turned his whole body to face you. His eyes were red and there were tears in his eyes. "You haven't gotten the kids their Christmas presents yet, right?"

You looked up at your husband and wiped away his tears while you held back your own. "....no."

"I.... I'll bake them a cake, so you.... Give them names...."

"Yeah...." Katsuki pulled you into a loving embrace as you let your tears fall. "Let's do that."

On the next day, you and Katsuki talked about what names you want to give your kids. After much debate, you both chose the names you want to give them.

"I've discussed things over with Katsuki, and, although it's not Christmas yet, we've decided to give you your presents today!"

Your daughter became excited at the news. "What?! Really!? What is it? Is it a Uravity dress up doll!?"

You laughed and Katsuki smiled.

"You guys ready? Listen carefully now." Katsuki picked up your daughter and you picked up your son. "Your names are Masaki and Katsu Bakugou."

You children, Masaki and Katsu, were so happy to hear their new names that tears of joy appeared in the corner of their eyes. At the sight of the tear droplets, you started to panic, thinking that they didn't like the names.

"I-I'm sorry! Do you not like them?! We thought--"

Before you could finish, Katsu and Masaki envelopes you and Katsuki in a spine-breaking hug.

"We love them!" Katsu and Masaki said at the same time.

"Thank you so much, (Y/n) and Katsuki!!" Tears of joy fell from Katsu's eyes and you wiped them away.

"Mom and Dad." You all looked at Katsuki and he grinned at his kids. "From now on, you two better call us Mom and Dad."

You smiled back at your husband and pulled your family into a group hug. Katsu held you tightly as you kissed his forehead, and then Masaki's, and then Katsuki's cheek. Nothing can ruin this heartfelt moment you shared with your loved ones.

"Thank you.. Mom and Dad."
