0500 - Morning workouts

The kids lined up along the main gym's track in all-white training uniforms. They looked up at the display monitors showing Suki's face, behind her stood Lisa and a few scientists. "Ok kids. You may now begin your morning runs. And remember, I will be grading you." When Suki finished the kids took off, their pace and determination awed the Scientists and Lisa alike.

"How do you do it? How do you get them to work this hard?" Asked Lisa. Her eyes fell on the nearby monitors, they displayed each kid's vitals. Projected the distance they go, how fast they'd reach it, an assortment of things at an extremely accurate percentage.

Suki paused to study the emotions Lisa displayed. "How do you do it!?" Demanded Lisa. Suki laughed at Lisa's words, as Caesar lapped the slowest recruit. 'That's no surprise.' She thought, turning her attention to the rest. Behind her, the scientists now studying Lisa. Who went on about how this was her section and that she was in charge.

A scientist: 'Wow, the insecurity subject Lisa displays is fascinating.'

A scientist: 'I wonder how long this will last.'

A scientist: 'The janitors joked she's only alive to give Popovich head. Could that be true?'

While Suki continued to disregard Lisa's prattling. Two groups broke out amongst the recruits. The first was Caesar's group mates; they fought for second place while separating themselves from the rest. Leading them was Darron, followed by Victoria, who ran like a maddened predator.

Mixed in with the group was Yasha, who ran stride-by-stride Kai, and Lokee. The three-eyed Samir; He, to nobody's surprise, was talking shit like always.

"Come on Yasha, is that all you got? I thought you'd become a blade for the pathic! A shield, for the weak! Dependable for all those like Clark and his loser crew. Yet sadly you can barely keep up with Kai's slow ass," said Samir. He feigned sadness and depression while running from Yasha and her fist.

"PERMISSION TO USE PSIONICS!" Asked Yasha, yelling across the gym. Samir's face dropped as he glanced behind him.

'Where'd Kai go?' He thought to himself. "To your left," said Caesar, lapping the group once more. Kai eyed Samir with a cold and ruthless gaze, his psionic energy churned as he waited for Suki's answer. He said, "It's too early for your shit."

Samir grinned doing the same, his psionic energy took on a darkened hue to Kai's light blue. The boys sped up, preparing to lap Clark and his followers. They eyed Samir, Kai, and Caesar with dangerous intent.

Caesar sighed at their pathetic display of rage, while Samir laughed, and Kai scoffed. "Permission to use psionics," asked Kai, turning his ire towards Bryce. "I've always wanted to skin a rat," added Samir. He smiled knowing that his comment divided Clark's group.

A scientist made note of this before looking at Suki. "I'd like--"

"I don't care about your likes, there won't be any psionic use during the morning workout," stated Suki. Her calm voice echoed over the PA, killing all hope for the scientists and kids alike.

Samir continued, lapping Clark and his group alongside Caesar and Kai. His snide smirk and insulting comments burned deep into their hearts. However, it was the last words he said on his way to the pull-up bar, which stung the most. "Kalen always says. When a leader is incompetent, everything else will be too. Seeing you, he was right."

--------Sometime later, boys shower-------

Samir and Lokee stood face to face with their fists clenched and arms raised. Surrounding them were Rishul, Kai, Darron, and the rest; watching, smiling as the two began to circle each other. Off in the distance, the rest of the boys sneered watching the group.

Samir slid forward, firing a right jab towards Lokee's head. A faint green light flashed within Caesar's light-grey eyes as the motion sensor's silent alarm beeped twice alerting the staff. Lokee stepped in, ducking under Samir's fist while throwing an uppercut.

When Samir leaned back to dodge Lokee's uppercut the water below him turned to ice, freezing his feet in place. Bryce's sneer widened seeing Lokee press forward, however, Clark's eyes snapped to Caesar. Who seemed to zone out as Lokee struck Samir. But to most surprise, Samir's head faded away, displaying his real face a few inches from Lokee's fist.

'The secondary alarm. It reacted to their psionic energy,' Thought Caesar. He gauged the guards to response time, second alarm's initial and closing reaction time, reconfirmed any data they helped him gather on the motion sensors. While the others peered into the minds of every recruit, looking for anybody suspicious about today's plan.

The guards charged in with batons raised and tasers pistols ready. Clark stood, watching in silence as Bryce led the group's derision-filled cheers. Lokee walked through it with cold blue eyes and an icy calm demeanor. His poise and demeanor instilled jealousy and fear while making them feel...inept.

His disdain for them heightened with each step as his contempt shown more and more the kids shuttered then turned to Samir. Who's flowing blonde hair, tall slim frame, and beautiful light-brown skin and eyes caused their ridicule and mockery to return with heightened vigor.

Kid 1: "Jonathan Samir, more like Jonalynn Samira."

Kid 2: "Jonalynn about to spend a week in the cells."

Kid 3: "The guards are gonna...break Jonalynn in."

Samir embraced the boy's ridicule with smiles and laughter, his stunning feminine features bred jealousy within the hearts of every young girl struggle to maintain their beauty within the academy. However, his eyes shined with cunning yet devious light while his mind thought about different ways to torment these kids.

---Popovich's Office----

"What do you think?" Asked Suki, watching the display down in the youth hallway. She eyed Popovich as he watched the guards take Samir and Lokee to the cells.

"Leave them. Their antics are worsening the kid's mental state and that'll prove beneficial to the next phase." Said Popovich, pulling all the youth dormitory cameras.

"And Clark?" Asked Suki, eyeing Caesar. He was studying his NGS during breakfast.

"Is to remain unbothered until we formulate a teachable method for that psionic ability and create an alpha-wave prosthetic that can produce it." Stated Popovich, his eyes stayed on Clark then shifted to Yasha and Bryce.

"How'd they learn it? And why haven't others learn it?" Asked Popovich. His eyes zoomed in to record Suki's every facial expression.

"Yasha just has a talent for close combat, Clark was lucky, and Bryce's version is a trash imitation that's only useful for teaching the abilities fundamentals. And as for why your other agents haven't learned it? You had Tom's scientists drug the ones you failed to kidnap. Remember?" Stated Suki, grilling him back, purposefully displaying her rage for how they were treated.

Popovich glanced down at the studying Caesar then back to Suki, whose face never changed. "Tell me if you've learned it. Then tell me why you've been bonding with my perfect little soldier, " said Popovich. His words caused Suki's neural inhibitor to activate, dulling her yellow eyes, and locking her place.

"I have learned it," stated Suki. Her once calm and soothing voice became robotic as her arm rose to display a hurricane fist. Where Clark and Yasha's fist was like a small developing tornado, Suki's fist was a raging hurricane that engulfed everything within his office!

"Explain!" Demanded Popovich. The fear in his voice was evident but understandable. Active neural inhibitors hampered psionic users' ability to some degree!

"The scientists broke down this ability into two variations. The first was categorized Tornado; due to its compact and potentially volatile rotational speed. The second, hurricane as they dubbed it. Has a slower, wider, more energy-efficient rotation. As for Caesar, his rampant psionic energy requires extra attention."

Popovich nodded, Caesar's file confirmed this. However, a part of him couldn't shake his nervous feeling. 'Is she lying? Is it possible she's circumvented the neural inhibitor? Can she read my mind through the psi-screener? No, no, n-n-no. We'd know about any tampering, right? I'd better see how the psionic dampeners are going.'

-----

Popovich's facility may train the agents but they aren't in control of them.
