Madison walked out from wherever she went to. She looked at the sleeping Kaia and a sneer left her lips.
"Tomorrow, you would be out of my life," she muttered to herself as she stared at Kaia viciously.
Meanwhile, Kaia was already in dreamland. When was the last time she was able to lie down and feel so comfortable, this was the reason why she was able to sleep quite fast.
The next morning, Kaia was woken up by a scream which caused her to fall from the couch in a daze.
"What's wrong?" She asked while looking around fearfully. Her hands were trembling by her side as she looked around.
"Nothing is wrong, I just decided to use it as a method to wake you up," she heard Madison's voice and she rolled her eyes indiscreetly, the fear leaving her almost immediately.
"What is it now?" She asked while rubbing her eyes. She still felt sleepy and she was kinda mad that she was woken up from her sleep and that too in such manner.
"Today is the D-Day, you need to get prepared," Madison replied while looking at her nails.
"Get prepared for what?" Kaia asked cluelessly. Due to the sleep she still had in her eyes, she had forgotten that she was going to get married in place of Madison.
An irritated look appeared on Madison's face. Was the lady playing with her right now?
"Have you forgotten so soon? I can't believe this," Madison said, irritated as she walked around the room. Kaia only looked at her as she scratched her head, she was really confused.
"You are such a dumbass, wondering why you are my father's daughter, you are a blockhead," Madison caused and Kaia only looked at her.
Though she had words she could use to retaliate, she was cautious of the fact that her mom was actually depending on Madison and her father right now..
Yeah, she was aware of what Madison was talking about. She just wanted to play with her a bit. She had had enough of her bossy attitude.
"I'm sorry if I can't recall, but you don't know that I do suffer from amnesia sometimes," Kaia said while she lowered her head, playing with her fingers at the same time. She wanted to act vulnerable and it was working real well.
"What do you mean amnesia, you know what forget, I just need to remind you that today is the day you get married in my place," Madison said with a loud sigh. She never would have thought that she will take her time to even explain to her enemy.
"Ohhhh, now I recall, I'm sorry that I forgot, it really isn't my fault, you see, after I hit my head...,"
"I'm not interested in hearing your sob story," Kaia was trying to explain but she was cut off by Madison who was very pissed.
"You know what, just keep quiet, the stylists are on their way, and please, behave properly," Madison gave series of instructions to which Kaia nodded to.
Meanwhile, seeing the exasperated look on Madison's face, Kaia felt extremely good. This was payback for the humiliation she caused her yesterday.
"Go into my room and freshen up, you stink," Madison practically held her nose to show how much she felt disgusted.
Kaia discreetly rolled her eyes. She would always be pompous, no doubt about that. The only reason why she was putting up with her was because of her mom, nothing else or why would she be standing in the same room with someone who detests her to the core.
"I really don't know where your room is, how do you expect me to navigate it?" Kaia asked causing Madison to roll her eyes.
"Follow me," she snapped in an irritated voice and walked away. A sly smirk appeared on Kaia's lips. This was what you get if she tried rubbish with her.
But her mind could not help but drift to her mom. Will her mom be fine? She only prayed that Madison and her father kept to the end of the deal. Her mom was her entire life and she was not going to trade her for anything else.
"Here we are, please do take a clean bath, like I said earlier on, you stink quite badly," Madison said cheekily and left with a loud laugh.
Kaia breathed out through her nose as she ran her hands through her hair. It would be a lie to say she wasn't frustrated. She continued reminding herself that she was only doing it for one person.
"Kaia, you are doing this for your mom, not anyone else, you just have to endure," she continued to say to herself as she entered into the room.
A loud gasp escaped her lips once she entered the room.
"Wow!" Kaia exclaimed with her mouth agape. She looked around the room and was stunned.
"Madison really spent a big deal on this room," Kaia complimented as she walked around. There was something most people didn't know about Kaia, she had an obsession over qualify interior designs.
She would have become an interior designer but things don't always turn out the way we want it to be.
"I really have to meet this designer, he did a really great job," she continued to admire the room.
For Kaia to compliment a room and Madison's one at that, one had to know that the room just had what Kaia needed.
The room was very intricate. Feels like the person spent his entire time on the intricate aspects of the room which gave off sn aesthetic vibe while still keeping the classiness just like it's owner. This was one point Kaia took notice of.
The room exuded elegance with its pastel pink walls adorned with delicate floral wallpaper. A crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling, casting a soft, ethereal glow over the room. A plush, velvet chaise lounge sits in the corner, draped with a faux fur throw and adorned with an array of pastel-colored cushions.
A vintage vanity table is adorned with a collection of antique perfume bottles and a vanity mirror framed with intricate gold filigree. A bouquet of fresh peonies sits in a crystal vase on a marble side table, filling the room with their sweet, intoxicating.
Kaia's hand trailed through the wallpaper and a satisfied smile left her lips. This was enjoyable. Madison definitely spent a lot of money into making the room look vintage, yet not losing the identity of it's owner.
It's ostentatity the same as it's owner. Definitely screamed wealth.
"Definitely want to learn from the person who designed this room, intricately designed," Kaia commented to herself as she approached a door.
