The two old friends sat on the roof of the school building and began to catch up with each other.

Loki shared the information about Tevyat while Ark shared the recent happenings of the tribe. They also talked about miscellanous things and reminisced about the old days.

An hour passed like this and the young Zorua finally woke up. She seemed a bit dazed. It took a while for her mind to clear and she secretly peeked at Loki with a curious look in her eyes.

Loki was amused as he noticed her small antics. He gently picked her up, placed her on his laps, and began to pet her fur.

The young child was initially shy and uncomfortable. However, she soon closed her eyes and relaxed under his gentle caress.

Ark looked on with a small smile as Loki bonded with his grandchild. Several minutes passed in this quiet and comforting silence.

The young Zorua quickly became comfortable with Loki. The fact that she saw him as her idol also helped otherwise this shy and timid child would not have opened up to him so quickly.

After having his fun of spoiling her, Loki gave her a name, Nana.

Ark had never even bothered to give his grandchild a name but he didn't blame his senile old friend. He was well aware that pokemon didn't put much importance on names.

Now that everything was said and done, Loki, Ark and Nana left the school building.

As they near their small group, Qiqi was the first to notice them and walked towards her father. Yaoyao, Shaymin and the two Dreepy approached them a second later. All four children looked at the newcomer curiously.

The attention from several strangers seemed to scare Nana as she hid behind Ark. The old pokemon smiled wryly and bent down to look at his grandchild.

"My child, you don't need to be afraid. Come on. I will introduce you to everyone."

Ark spoke in a soft and reassuring voice and Nana shyly walked forward. He patted her head in praise and began to introduce everyone.

Loki noticed that Nana reacted the most when Ark introduced Qiqi as his daughter. After the introdouctions were done, Loki spoke to his daughter.

"Qiqi, she is going to be your little sister. You have to get along with each other."

Qiqi obediently nodded her head and stepped forward. She raised her hand to Nana and spoke with a small smile.

"Let's play together."

Nana looked at Qiqi, then turned to Loki. She still seemed a bit hesitant.

"It is alright."

Ark reassured her and she finally relented. Although hesitant and shy, she nodded her head and approached Qiqi and the other children.

The five children soon began to play a game of chase near the two adults. Nana remained a bit awkward around them but Yaoyao showed her unexpected maturity by helping Nana feel included at all times. Shaymin also helped as the oldest and most mature among them.

Seeing the scene of his grandchild playing along with her new friends, Ark could not hold back his tears. But he quickly wiped his tears because he didn't want to make Nana worried.

This old pokemom was feeling very happy because his grandchild could finally have a childhood now. At the same time, he was a bit disappointed with himself because he was not able to help his grandchild for so long.

"Don't worry. She is not alone anymore."

Loki patted his shoulder and reassured him. Ark quitely nodded his head. The decision to seek Loki out turned out to be the most correct decision he had ever made for his grandchild.

(Evening)

As the sun began to set in the horizon, Loki, Qiqi and Yaoyao returned to Tevyat with two new additions, Ark and Nana.

As they entered the lounge, every ghost pokemon focused on them, more specifically, they looked at the young Zorua.

Joker was frozen with his eyes wide open. Frost covered the lower half of her face with her sleeve but her eyes revealed her shock. In this pin drop silence, Magica quietly appeared beside Ark and studied the child thoroughly.

This undivided attention scared the shit out of Nana as she hurriedly hid behind Ark. This old geezer quickly gave a side eye to everyone.

"Stop staring at her so much. You are scaring this child."

Ark spoke in an annoyed voice but nobody even listened to him. As a matter of fact, nobody had even regarded his presence and greeted their old friend.

"Loki, when did you have a secret child?"

Magica finally spoke in a while and Loki nearly choked on air. He had expected some surprised looks but he never expected such a strong reaction, let alone a question so stupid.

"I do not have any secret child. She is Ark's granddaughter."

Loki responded calmly. It took a while for his words to register for everyone. Magica slowly backed away from the scared child and shook her head with a bit of disappointment.

"A shame." She said.

"Hahaha. There is no way Loki can have a child. He has been a virgin for all these years."

Joker laughed loudly. He completely ignored the fact that he was perhaps the most surprised just a while ago.

"Anyway, stop scaring her and do your own thing."

Loki shooed with his hands. After his harsh reminder, everyone finally realized how scared the young Zorua was and gave her a break and looked elsewhere.

It was only then did some of them noticed Ark.

"Oh Ark. You were also here?"

Joker asked in a somewhat confused voice. Hearing this blatant disrespect. Ark twitched his eyebrows in annoyance.

This night was full of events.

After escorting Yaoyao to her master, Loki returned home to find that Ark and Joker had left to settle some 'scores'. Dusk followed them to make sure they didn't create too much trouble.

Qiqi and Nana were sitting on the sofa. Mimi, Frost and Magica sat around them, conversing in a low voice. Nana was still reserved but she was already able to hold a proper conversation with strangers.

As Loki approached them, Magica whispered something to Nana and the young Zorua cautiously stared at him. She opened her mouth to speak but ultimately reamined quiet.

"Hmm. Is there something you want to say?" He asked.

Nana looked at Magica, who nodded her head in encouragement. She then turned at him and whispered in a soft cry.

(Father?)

Loki widened his eyes for a brief moment before smiling brightly. He carried the young Zorua and petted her fur.

"Yes, my little daughter." He responded.

Nana shyly lowered her head and remained quiet. Loki continued petting her as he looked at Magica. This mischievous ghost had a wide grin that seemed to say, 'My plan worked.'

Loki was well aware that Magica was the one to convince Nana to call him father. He had reacted so cooly because the moment he agreed with Ark to take this child into his family, he had already considered her as one of his daughter.

'Ark will be pissed about this.' He mused in amusement.

After all, if Nana called Ark grandpa, and called him father, did't that mean Ark was tecnically his father. It sounded so ridiculous but fun to think about.

If it was a few months ago, Loki would have found something like this a drag. However, he only felt a sense of excitement for the future right now.

His life seemed so full of color ever since he came to Tevyat, especially now, due to his 2 new daughters. He could not be more grateful to his boss for giving him such a chance.

'Our home has become really lively.'

PS: This is the end of Volume 1.

You will find that Volume 1 was mainly focused on the introduction of pokemon and the interaction between mc and his friends and families. I know it is not the perfect execution but I like to believe that my writing skills have improved since I first started.

Volume 2 will focus on the reactions of others forces and their attitude towards pokemon. The first is obviously the Fatui. A Genshin story would not be complete without the Fatui trying to mess around after all.
