Chapter 4 Battle at Aspho fields part 1

i'm still sick so this will have to do for now sorry but i will have to go on a hiatus until i fell better again sorry

Major Helena Stroud: Good be ready when command gives the go order

As she finish saying this all of us got ready and equipped or weapons, ammo and supplies for the long battle ahead and got on the landing craft tanks, waiting for command orders, which took 10 minutes to begin

As we are traveling through the waters to get to Aspho point beach 2 of the gears started some light smalltalk to past the time

Cog soldier 1: hey, do you think this gonna be a easy mission.

Cog soldier 2: should be i heard that a couple of recon teams scouted the area up ahead and learned that the UIR regiment bases have no artillery station there.

Cog soldier 1: Really! This one going to be a easy mission than.

.

Cog soldier 3: i can't wait for this battle to be over and go home to see my wife

As we were almost to the objective Major Stroud told the gears to stop talking and get their head back in the game

As we are landing north of Aspho point under a diversaion attack from the Coalition naval forces, so we can block off thr UIR forces from reinforcing Aspho point

But as we were advancing, we notice that the bases have been reinforced with both mobile Artillery and armored Calvary as they started firing at us.

taking out 50 gears

Major Stroud: We need to take out those vehicles! Sergeant Mataki take half of the gears and head right to take out the mobile Artillery while head left for armored cavalry!

Sergeant Mataki: Yes ma'am, you heard her gears now let's move and take out that Artillery

As Sergeant Mataki take 100 gears from the remaining 250, Major Stroud takes the rest of us including me to take down the armored vehicles with indies as there guard

as we were nearing the armored vehicles we take out the indies near them as we are destroying them but are assault was put on hold as the rest of the indies bunkered behind the last 2 armored vehicles

Major Stroud: someone toss a frag grenade under those vehicles so we can flush them out

.

Corporal Leon: yes ma'am

I took 2 grenades out and toss them under the armored vehicles, as they explode forcing the indies out of cover while killing a few as well

as for the ones that didn't die from the explosion we fired upon them as they were getting up

When we were finishing up destroying the vehicles, Sergeant Mataki radioed in

Sergeant Mataki: Major the enemy artillery is down

.

Major Stroud: Good work sergeant group back up with us so we can continue on mission
