General Update

Hello everyone, this is Falcon and I have some big goods. I am making another announcement regarding this topic as many people seem to not have gotten the news and I want to clear up misunderstandings. While I do not like making general announcements within a book, Webnovel has no system for me to reach out to my readers so this is the best I can do (I will be posting this on all other sites I am on since it will be a good update in general).

A reader of mine on here asked what were my plans afterward or if this is the end. The quick answer is no, I have original projects planned after WotW. WotW was always seen as a practice story to gain much-needed experience (and have fun). I never imagine so many people would like this book, especially from a first-time rookie author like me. Please read below for more details regarding my next book.

I have stated many times I have more original and post-war content, which I still do. But, this is the problem. I have all this content I want to do but the problem is that Gate: WotWs is a fanfiction. No matter what I do, no matter what I change, no matter how much effort I put into WotW's, it will always be a fanfiction. While there is nothing wrong with fanfiction, I see I am hitting a crossroads on how far I want to invest into fanfiction. Once the War with the Empire emds, I had all these plans going far into the future. However, the core of WotW is fanfiction and I have to obey the legal restrictions. So the million-dollar question is, how much original content do I want to invest into a fanfiction with no long-term returns (and I don't just mean money).

When I started WotW, I was always planning for the long haul (I started in March 2019). I came a long way, I have seen, learned, and experienced a lot. The truth is I have outgrown the Gate story and now it is limiting me. I am looking at it five years from now, still working on a Gate Fanfiction that no matter how much work I put into it, it will always be a Fanfiction because I use characters, locations, and some story elements. I am trapped and I cannot get out. I talked to about a dozen fans on the matter and we all ended up agreeing this is the only way to move forward.

I know this sounds upsetting, but it won't be. I will be ending WotW and giving it the proper ending that it deserves so I will be finishing it. My goal is to close out major arcs, giving them proper endings. Give characters relationships I have been setting up, and let the end of the war unfold. To do this I decided to drop many bold plans I had going forward, like adding a Navy Arc (for the people who saw the hidden signs), stop non-important side plotlines and bring the story back to the core characters which it started out with.

With that being said, based on my WotW storyboard, I have three minor arcs and then two major arcs, then an Epilogue. I will be finishing the storyline that I set out to do since Volume 2 (note, pay close attention to the Rondel Arc).

One thing I have always said from the very beginning of WotW was that this was practice. I have never written before and I knew I needed experience. I have lots to learn and a long way to go but this book has been amazing at getting that done. I am hoping to take that knowledge and bring it to my next project.

Now, the working title of my next book is called Age of Destiny (AoD). I am not in the position to give details on the book, it will be a military-fantasy book. The reason I bring this up is because many those original ideas I had for WotW are not being thrown away but moved to AoD.

I don't plan this to be another traditional military-fantasy book (where primitives get blown up by bombs and guns. Mighty Earth slaughters weak natives), I have been revamping everything from the ground up. I am not going into details as it is too early. This will be a story universe build from the ground up. A key theme will be is that science base people (Earth) vs Magical base Thaumaturgy.

Right now I am currently working on a 7-8 Proleg mini book to set up the foundation of AoD. More details will come out once I get closer to the Epilogue from WotW.

Let me state this, this is not a sequel, contamination, related to WotW, in any way. There will be no connection between the two book projects.

This is a big change, three amazing years working on WotW but to get the story that is needed I have to draw a line somewhere. So, I am going to do this and I am going to finish WotW and begin working on this new adventure that I can call my own. Thank you all for the support, this has been an amazing ride. Thank you.

Un lector mío aquí preguntó cuáles eran mis planes después o si este es el final. La respuesta rápida es no, tengo proyectos originales planeados después de WotW. Da a los personajes las relaciones que he estado estableciendo y deja que se desarrolle el final de la guerra. Para hacer esto, decidí abandonar muchos planes audaces que tenía en el futuro, como agregar un Navy Arc (para las personas que vieron las señales ocultas), detener las tramas secundarias sin importancia y llevar la historia de vuelta a los personajes principales con los que comenzó. con.

Ahora, el título provisional de mi próximo libro se llama Age of Destiny (AoD). No estoy en condiciones de dar detalles sobre el libro, será un libro de fantasía militar. No planeo que este sea otro libro tradicional de fantasía militar (donde los primitivos son volados por bombas y pistolas. Mighty Earth mata a los nativos débiles), he estado renovando todo desde cero. No voy a entrar en detalles porque es demasiado pronto. Este será un universo de historia construido desde cero. Un tema clave será que la gente de base científica (Tierra) versus la taumaturgia de base mágica.

En este momento, estoy trabajando en un mini libro de 7-8 Proleg para establecer las bases de AoD. Saldrán más detalles una vez que me acerque al epílogo de WotW.

Permítanme decir esto, esto no es una secuela, contaminación, relacionada con WotW, de ninguna manera. No habrá conexión entre los dos proyectos de libros.

Este es un gran cambio, tres años increíbles trabajando en WotW, pero para obtener la historia que se necesita, tengo que trazar una línea en alguna parte.
