Chapter 3: Settling in

When Anya woke up, she almost forgot the harrowing situation she found herself in. It wasn't until she noticed the screen floating before her eyes that she remembered where she was and the reason why her eyes were puffy from the tears she had shed.

Good Morning Anya! HP, MP and SP Restored due to a full night's sleep. All negative effects have been negated.

It was then that she realized that she felt rejuvenated and the cuts, bruises, and sore muscles she had earned from…that place were gone. Giving her invisible companion a small smile, she slowly heaved herself up onto her elbows, as she slowly took in the room she was in, her new bedroom. Despite having the memories of the body, she found herself in, she was surprised how much this girl's tastes reflected her own. Seriously, if she didn't have Chaos in her head and a mirror showing her different body, she would be convinced that she was still home. The walls were a burgundy red and black, one wall was all black, while the other was red and vice versa. There were posters of her favorite bands on the wall, from In this Moment, My Darkest Days, Godsmack, Kiss, Holocene and more. There was a signed Van Alan Guitar in a display case the wall in front of her bed above her dark oak dresser. The carpet was dark red with a Triquetra design, there was a decent sized closet where all of her clothes, shoes and hamper was, with a standing mirror with pictures of her, her twin, and their parents on it. The bed was a Queen-sized bed with silk black sheets, pillowcases, and a Black comforter with a huge Wolf Blanket as another comforter. Besides the dresser and bed, the only other pieces of furniture were the black oak bookcase filled with books and a desk with a laptop, rolling chair, and an iPod docking station with her iPhone on it.

While the bed was insanely comfy and as much as she didn't want to get up, she knew she has a lot of things to do today, she only has this week to get used to her new world before canon starts and despite her high skill, if she is going to be rooming with monsters, she wants all of the advantages she could get. Her Greedy trait is most definitely showing here, but none the less this is just the smart thing to do. With that in mind, she decided to check her stats and what she gained from…that place.

Blinking in shock at how high her Stats are, especially her MP and her Charisma, she frowned at how overpowered she seemed to be. Don't get her wrong, she is happy to be so powerful so quickly, but this seemed a bit too much to start out. Before she could voice her confusion however, Chaos answered her to her slight exasperation.

The reason you have leveled so quickly is because during the Tutorial period, all levels are easier to obtain. Also, The perks you have selected such as Epic Magic, The Puppet Master Trait, Player and Seductress Trait gives you a boost in your leveling. Now that the Tutorial is over, leveling up will be harder. Also, instead of getting 1 PP per level, you will get 2 PP per 5 levels.

Also, please keep in mind that you are in a world of Monsters, you will most definitely need these high levels as they will most assuredly be tough to combat against and are higher than you or at least at your level but with perks to make the fight interesting.

During this week of respite, you will receive no quests, you may level however only your stats. Once Canon starts you will be able to gain EXP toward Level up and receive quests again.

That makes sense, this is much better than I thought, Anya grinned as she thought of the boon of having this week to herself could mean. Not only would she be able to assimilate the memories of her new life and her old one, but she would be able to get started on her plans to improve her STR, DEX and END.

Trait Gained with this Perk: Celebrity.

Celebrity Trait: You will be able to become famous (or infamous) more easily depending on your actions. Acting and musician skills and professions gain double XP. +150 CHAR, 2x REP, AFFECT, OBEY.

Weakness gained with this Perk: Wrathful.

Wrathful Weakness: Your temper is on a hair trigger. you will be more volatile and hot tempered. When enraged strength is tripled and wis and int is decreased by 100.

Daughter of Fawkes- You are the only human child of Fawkes (HP)! Fire Magic is 2X more powerful. Gives complete immunity to fire and partial immunity to magical fire. Gives partial Phoenix Regeneration ability, give 50% HP Regen, HP Regen is 15 seconds faster. You have flaming wings which allows you to fly and use flame teleportation.

Trait Gained with this Perk: Phoenix Song

Phoenix Song- Your voice is soothing; your voice gives allies a 25% boost in their magic and morale. Likewise, your enemies receive a -25% reduction in their Magic and a 15% damage to their health. Strikes fear into their enemies. Beings above your level or with certain abilities are immune.

Weakness Gained with this Perk: Pride.

Pride: You are a very Prideful Creature, your arrogance will show unexpectedly, and you won't even notice that you sound or are being arrogant. Your pride will not only alienate and get you into trouble, but it makes you angry if your pride is wounded. Beware Pride cometh before the fall. Curb this weakness before it spells your doom.

Multitasker Perk- You can do perform more than one task at once. Your mind may run more than one thought at a time, and you will not be confused. You may do one task while thinking of something else, are talking or doing something else at the same time with no difficulty.

Trait for this Perk-Ambidextrous

Ambidextrous- You can do anything with both of your hands, for neither are dominant.

Weakness for this perk- Clumsy

Clumsy- Gravity hates you, you are more prone to tripping over your feet and knocking things over. Expect bruises and annoyance with this trait.

Devour Perk- Once a day you may Devour an object or corpse to temporarily gain the Skills, Stats, Traits, Perks and Weaknesses of whatever you devour.

Trait for this Perk- Retention

The Retention Perk allows you to keep whatever Skill, Stats, Traits, Perks and Weaknesses that you Devour permanently.

Weakness for this Trait- Gluttony

Gluttony- You are never satisfied and are always hungry, whether it is for more food, power, or wealth. You are never satisfied. If you have not consumed food at least once per day you will received a starving buff which will reduce your Health, Stamina and Magic by 25%. If you do not consume food at least once in 2 days you will receive the Ravenous buff which will reduce your Health, Stamina and Magic by 50%. If you have not consumed food at least once in 3 days you will received the Dying of Hunger buff which will reduce your Health, Stamina and Magic by 75%. If you have not consumed food at least once in 4 days you will received the Death by Hunger buff which will reduce your Health, Stamina and Magic by 100% and will die.

The Animus Perk- Every night when you sleep you will regain the memories and skills of your past life. The emotions from your past life will be locked, you may only see and learn.

Trait for this Perk: Incarnation

Incarnation: Due to having access to your past life, you are now the newest incarnation of your past self. This means that not only do you retain any skills from your previous life, but any life before that. Must unlock memories of previous incarnations to retain their memories and skills.

Weakness of this Perk: Bleed over Effect.

Bleed over Effect: Due to having more than one set of memories, your memories of your previous life will bleed over into this life. You may see, hear, smell or taste things that are not there. You may feel a sense of emotions that are not yours in this life but were in your memory's life.

Shapeshifter Perk- As a Shapeshifter, you may shift your body into another person or gender. You will only take on the looks and voice of the person you are shifting into. You will not receive their skills, Stats, Perks, Traits or Weaknesses.

Trait of this Perk- Gender Fluid

Gender Fluid Trait- Due to being able to shift Genders, you are able to take on the characteristics of both genders. The gamer does not identify as male or female but either or both.

Weakness for this Perk-Discriminated

Discriminated- People who oppose or are a bigot of who and what you are will hate you. People who are against Gender fluid people, lesbians and Asians will hate you on sight.

Perk-Studious

Studious Perk- You spend a lot of time reading and studying. As such you gain 2X EXP, Gain +5 WIS AND +5 INT every book you read.

Trait for this Perk- Bibliophile

You love books, you collect them, read them, and hoard them. Any desecration of books sends you into a panic and burning them is sacrilege. Any skills you gain from reading books are instantly Apprentice level.

Weakness for this Perk- Books are Gospel!

Books are Gospel! Weakness- Even though you know logically that not everything that you read in books can be true, you conveniently forget that when you read. You tend to believe everything that you read in books is fact. Books are your bible, and you tend to look like an idiot if the book is wrong while you insist otherwise. -100 IN, -100 WIS

Feeling a bit overwhelmed at all of the awesome choice of perks before her, she determined that she would pick the perks she wants before she decides to see what she gained from her milestone perks. Seeing the that, Chaos automatically clicks N, and the screen vanishes, leaving the Perks screen still up.

Honestly, they are all fairly good to have and luckily with how many PP she has she can easily get all of them and have some left over. Though she could do without some of the weaknesses. Speaking of weaknesses,

"Hey Chaos, how do I get rid of my weaknesses?"

You may get rid of your weaknesses by overcoming them. For example, with you Greed weakness, be spend more of your money regardless of your greed screaming at you not to share more despite not wanting to, etc. Different Weaknesses require you to take different actions in order to get over your Weakness. The only other way to get rid of your trait is to have 5,000 INT, WIS and CHA which will allow you to unlock the Trait B Gone potion which will allow you to remove one trait. If you have a high enough Alchemy and Potions levels, you may craft this potion, only after you unlock it.

Damn! Anya pouted as she thought it would be easy to be rid of her weaknesses, but she supposed that not everything could be easy otherwise what is the point of this new life. Still, regardless of the Weaknesses of these Perks, the benefits of the Perks and Traits are too good to pass up and since she was warned that she needs all of the advantages she can get before Canon. She decided weakness be damned she was getting all of the Perks. She will just have to work really hard to Unlock that potion and the skills of Alchemy and Potions to eventually get rid of them all.

She could feel the knowledge about how to use her new perks, traits and weaknesses and she must say she is excited to use them. Especially Devour and Shapeshifting. But before she could get to experimenting, she decided to check out her milestone perks and set her Stat Points.

Thicker Skin-100 END

You have thicker skin and can take your hits with only a small shout of pain as opposed to screaming and tears. +15 Physical Damage Resistance.

Dragonhide-250 END

You have the skin of a dragon; therefore, you are -25% to spells. You are also +25% resistant to physical damage and ranged damage.

Poison Immunity-500 END

You are completely immune to mundane poisons and are 25% immune to magical poison.

Longevity-1,000 END

You have a longer lifespan than any other mortal. You can now live for 250 years if you are careful. Your physical age slows down, for example at 25 years old you still look like you are 18 etc.

Adamantium Bones-1,500 END

You are 75% resistant to sprained, fractured or broken bones. Your bones are as thick as Wolverine's Claws, it would take someone of extreme strength to even sprain your bones much less break them.

The Blessing of Artemis-2,000 END

You have the Blessing of the Greek Goddess Artemis. With this Blessing, you have partial immortality and can only fall in battle. You have been Blessed with greater reflexes and strength. You have gained the ability to move almost silently through the forest and have night vision as long as the moon is in the sky. +200 DEX, +200 STR at night. Entrepreneur- 500 WIS

All professions level faster and 2X more money and EXP

Prodigious Potionateer-1,000 WIS

Grants you the Alchemy Skill (Novice.) Grants you the Potions Skill (Novice), Grants you the Botanist Skill (Novice). Grants you the Husbandry Skill (Novice). With these skills, you have all the skills you need to become an alchemist or Potion Mistress of great Renown. Create potions and elixirs to sell or use.

Wisdom of the Ancestors- 1,500 WIS

Unlock the Wisdom of your Ancestors with this perk. This allows you access to your Ancestors memories and skills. This allows you to use their wisdom, experience, and skills as if you have gained the wisdom and experience yourself. Note: This only works for the Ancestors whose blood runs through your veins all the way up to 7 generations. This does not count towards previous incarnations.

Descendent of Thoth- 2,000 WIS

You are a descendent of the Egyptian God Thoth, the God of the Moon, Magic, Writing and Wisdom. As his Descendent, you have an instinctive skill, knowledge and understanding of his domains. Your skills and EXP double under the moon. Anything you write will be liked if not loved. Any books you write have a 75% chance to become a bestseller and every book you write will be loved.

Your persuasion attempts are more three times likely to succeed. You are able to sell items for three times more money.

Perfect Body- 500 CHA

Your body is perfection! You will never get fat, pimples, acne, burns. You will be able to scar, but it will be faint and hard to see without inhuman vision. Your breasts, rear, abs, and curves are perfect for a woman. Your abs are sexy and your dick (should you have one) is very well endowed. Everything about you is perfect.

Temptress- 1,500 CHA

You are a temptress; you are able to tempt men and women to your cause…or your bed with ease. Your followers and partners are more likely to be persuaded by your words. Note: If your target has a higher Charisma than you or a perk to negate this perk, this won't work.

Queen of Deception- 2,000 CHA

You gain the entire Kamasutra series books and their skills. Your Eromancy is instantly leveled to 50. The skills of Kamasutra are unlocked and set to Adept level.

Child of Amaterasu- 3,000 CH

Due to the Shinto Goddess's boredom, she decided to possess your mother during your conception and thus you were born. With this, you are her child as much as you are your mother's. The gifts you receive as a daughter of Amaterasu is a higher fertility, Photokinesis. Under the Sun, your EXP is doubled, Skills are learned more quickly, and you heal faster under the sun. When in any place under your Godly mother's protection or domain, you instantly have a connection to the place and those who know your status instantly are loyal to you and obey you. Note: This only applies to you, your twin is not her Child.

"HOLY SHIT!" Anya stared in wide eyed shock as she saw the many Perks, she acquired due to her leveling up. Suddenly she felt her body, mind and magic increase in strength, power, and potency, she was caught off guard just how…good it felt. In fact, the power boost felt so great she was shocked to find herself orgasming to it.

"Holy! FUUUUCKK!!!" Anya shouted as her back arched and shudders ran throughout her body as she climaxed once the final perk assimilated to her body. Collapsing back onto the bed, she shuddered as she came down from her orgasm.

Well…that was disturbing.

"Oh…fuck off!" Anya muttered tiredly as she shook off the last of the aftershocks of the most intense orgasm she has ever felt and that was saying something considering her Ex-Wife was known for giving her an orgasm with just a look at times and they were intense as fuck!

Due to your many Perks, I have placed a Cap on any future Stat Perks for now. You will not be able to gain any more Perks or Stat Perks until after Season 1 of Canon. You have more than enough Perks to last you until then. Since all monsters are more powerful than Canon due to this being the "real world" from here on out you need to rely on your own merits and the perks you have until you reached season 2 of Canon. After that I will add some more perks and allow you access to Stat Perks.

Due to there being only 2 Seasons of Rosario + Vampire, after the conclusion of Season 2, you will have access to world changer. World Changer allows you to go to the next Randomly selected world. Depending on which world is selected, you may or may not be able to keep any perks, traits, weakness, skills, and Stats from this world that you gained. It will depend. With that in mind after assimilating your new perks, her is your updated Stat Sheet.

Shocked once more at just how freaking powerful she is, she could see the difference from her previous look at her stats with the Perks added in. Obviously, her race is a key difference. While she is still a human in a monster's world, she is a Blessed human due to her many blood ties to the Gods and Goddesses in the Greek, Egyptian and Shinto pantheons as well as being a Daughter of Fawkes. Magical or not, if she has the traits of Fawkes as well as being claimed as the Magical Daughter of Fawkes, she is definitely his daughter. Hence being a Blessed Human-Phoenix Hybrid makes sense. With this she should fit in Yokai Academy more and not have the issues that her brother will as a normal human in a school of monsters.

Anya could see her Ancestors Wisdom Perk and Animus Perk at work as she looks at her increased Strength and Dexterity. The boost to her Endurance, Stamina and Health is due to her Longevity, Blessings, and some from her past life. The Luck is most definitely a boon from her Ancestors, while her intelligence and Wisdom haven't changed, she could feel her mind and knowledge sharpen and expand due to Thoth's and Athena's Blessings.

The Cap on her leveling and Perks are more than understandable, at this point even she admits that this is ridiculous. Regardless of the Boon having such Perks and Stats are, this is making her OP as fuck! (Wait until she sees the monster's stats and perks, then she will start to complain she is not powerful enough! Chaos snickered to herself in the corner of Anya's mind where she wouldn't hear her.)

Giving herself a shake to focus herself, she decided to continue with her plan to dump her points into Luck and Work out for her Strength and Dexterity. Anya still has no clue how to grind her Luck Stat, so until she has figured that out, she will use her Stat Points. With that in mind she dumped her 80 points into luck and closed the Menu.

Once the Menu disappeared, time resumed, and she could hear her parents and brother getting ready for the day. With that in mind, she had a cold shower she promised herself she would take and then it was off to school. If her memories are correct, then Tskune is going to get kicked out of school today and Anya will join him considering that she would never separate from her Twin. Not to mention if she didn't, she wouldn't be joining her brother in Yokai Academy.

I wonder what I should do to get myself kicked out of school today. Anya thought cheerily, blithely ignoring Chaos laughter at her thoughts as she practically skipped to the shower. After a nice cold shower, she quickly got dressed in her favorite ripped dark wash jeans, converse sneakers and a black Hoodie that said, "There is a 99% Chance that I don't Care", she quickly threw her hair into a ponytail and jogged out of the room after making sure she had her phone, wallet, and school stuff.

Thundering down the stairs, she got her first look at her parents and twin since she woke up to this life and she had to say it was truly weird to see that they nothing like their anime characters. Her twin was pale and tall standing at 5'7, he was lanky, he had the same kind brown eyes that their mother had, and his brown was as perpetually messy as ever. Their mother had long black hair, she was slim and rather short, standing at maybe 5'2, she was as pale as her son, her kind brown eyes seemed to be perpetually filled with love as she looked at her family. Their father on the other hand was a giant! The man stood at 6'8, had wide muscular build, wide shoulder, tanned skin from being outside a lot, dark brown almost balding hair and dark green eyes. It seemed from looking at them, that she took after her father more than her mother while her brother was practically a carbon copy of their mother. Considering that Anya had her mother's hair, cheekbone and slim curvy body, her father's eyes and height standing at 5'6 just an inch shorter than her twin and she even had her father's sun kissed skin.

Giving her father and mother a kiss on their cheeks and ruffling her brothers always messy hair like always, she skillfully dodged her brothers swat as she headed for her seat for breakfast with a smile.

"Good morning!" Anya chirped as she practically inhaled her coffee and scarfed down her eggs as her family wished her a good morning, or in her twin's case grunted a hello. Poor boy wasn't a morning person by any means. Living in a household filled with early risers and morning people must have been hell on earth his entire life, no idea where he gets his…Tskune-ness.

"Good morning princess," Mr. Aono's warm baritone voice practically boomed as he smiled lovingly at his baby girl. Mr. Aono knew he shouldn't have favorites, but it was obvious with anyone with eyes that his princess was his favorite, after her mother of course. Especially since out of his twins, he spent more time with her seeing as his son is more than content with staying in his room all day reading and writing as opposed to spending time with his family. The only person who could get his son to do anything or interact with them was his twin. Honestly that boy worries him, especially with his grade being so below average, couple with his anti-social behavior and he is one concerned papa.

Mr. Aono is only glad that his princess is a perfect little Angel. Anya is a straight A student, is one of the top students on the Track team and is Captain of the Girls Volleyball team in school. There is nothing to concern himself with her when it comes to Academic and behavior, Mr. Aono beamed as he listened to his family chatter about their plans for the day. Nothing at all!
