Kyle had no way to escape this situation with the ball lighting. The only thing he could do was to use qi inside his body and the system.
The distance was already 10 metres, and the fire that was spreading from everywhere, where the ball lighting passed. It was nearing Kyle's skin now.
Kyle looked at the crumbled earth that was a little dumped and decided to try this gamble. It was better to try than die without trying.
Kyle closed his eyes and started to circulate his qi. He put all of the qi that was remaining in his dantian into the 5 points in his hand that were required to execute the Wave of Conviction.
Kyle has known that the technique was meant to be used repeatedly and not how Kyle intended to use it with all of his qi.
He already has succeeded in barely releasing the 10 point Wave of Conviction that has killed the monkey, but here, the area of effect was not enough for Kyle to do what he wanted.
He fully focused on his spiritual sense at the hand and started splitting the qi.
His qi quickly reached 10 points that he already executed, but Kyle was not going to stop there, he started splitting the points into smaller once.
'11, 12 points…' The ball lighting was already 9,8 metres in front of Kyle.
He already could feel the scorching heat that was coming from the ball lightning.
'15 points…' Kyle was straggling to increase it further, 'Ahhhhh!' Kyle roared and forced the qi to separate, '20 points, hurry!'
The ball lighting was 5 metres away from Kyle; some of his skin was burnt and already zapped by the lighting energy.
At this point, Kyle forced every cell in his body to the maximum and managed to bend his thumb to release the Wave of Conviction. A boom resounded as if a huge lighting descendent from the sky and the world turned bright with light. A cone that was expanding was of bright colour. Even Kyle himself couldn't look directly at it.
The Wave of Conviction directly enveloped the ball lighting. At first, the Wave of conviction stopped for a mili second when it touched it but later started evaporating the ball lighting and moving through it.
To Kyle, who could only look and not move, it seemed that as soon as the Wave of Conviction touched the ball lighting, it absorbed the power and increased its own strength. The cone expanded more and more, enveloping all of the forests that were directly in front of Kyle.
It travelled for at least 50 metres before it stopped. A notification rang.
[ You have overused Wave of Conviction technique, cool down for 48 hours ]
'Thought so…' Kyle who exhausted all of the qi that he had, now dropped uncontrollably to the ground. As he was right in front of the ravine, instead of dropping to the ground, he dropped into the ravine. Kyle didn't mind this as he would surely die from the lighting outside, while in the ravine, he had a slim chance of surviving.
Kyle was dropping the head down. He would usually try to land on the side or on legs to soften the blow, but as lighting didn't allow him to move, he had no choice.
As Kyle touched the ground, the combination of all the events that happened to him in the forest, together with the drop onto the hard rock, got to his head, and he dropped unconscious.
This was not a scripted even by the system or the pearl. Nor was someone meant for him to exhaust himself and drop into the ravine. Kyle was in danger for good.

In the mountain range, on a different continent, a woman was standing on the cliff and looking in the distance. Her hair was flapping with the wind, and her beauty was only enchanted by the setting sun.
She had a crossbow in her back as well as 2 curved elven swords on the sides of her waist. Her eyes were fixed into the distance, and she was lost in thought.
Behind her, standing and waiting patiently was a group of 4 warriors, 3 men and a woman. One was with a tower shield was a dwarf, another was an elf assassin with the hood covering his face, and the last was an orc and had a huge hammer that was also sheathed on his back. The only other woman was standing next to them with closed eyes. She was much smaller than others in height, but she wore clothes that fit her very nicely. She had a cap that showed that she was a magician and a small staff that she held in her hand also symbolised that.
They didn't utter a word; they simply looked at the girl and waited. If anyone from the world saw them right now, they would be scared witless. They radiated a strong power, so strong that even ogre and spider queen wouldn't want to take their chances with them.
She was Miss Anya, the neighbour of Kyle back from the earth. She just completed the quest to transfer a person from another world, given to her by the emissary of the god To Live.
She was sure of her choice. The fate that she could sense coming from that boy, Kyle, was higher than that coming from the emissary that was considered one of the world's most powerful. That signalled that it was the right choice that she made.
Her biggest worry was right now, that she without explaining put this responsibility onto him. He might have died because of her. He was kind enough to trust him, but she was not kind enough to do it back.
She closed her eyes and turned away from the cliff.
"Let's go. The preparations are complete. The thousand-year acacia is ready for rebirth." With that the small girl cast something and they disappeared, teleporting far far away.
