Kyle went to one of the two workbenches that he knew how to use due to having a class in the school back on earth, about working with metals. He chose the sword from the villages and couple of rare bones, bone marrows and skins from the beasts.
The system immediately asked Kyle if he wanted to combine it using the system, but Kyle rejected it. He placed all of the items onto the workbench and wanted to start adding the bones and the leather to the sword manually, but a UI with a notification appeared.
[ Do you want to activate crafting support system? ]
Kyle was surprised as this again, wasn't in the manual and pressed Yes.
Kyle's vision flashed with blinding white light and when he could see again, there now were some azure circles in his vision. They had text under the circle of what exactly it recommended to do. There were at least a 1000 possibilities that Kyle could see with barely 10 items that he had. Kyle started to choose the most bright azure circles. 'If the system was consistent with its symbols, those should be the most powerful and interesting items.'
Kyle could see what item to take, where to take it, how to hold it and what to do with it.
After Kyle grabbed one of the bones and a claw head hammer that the system suggested, red strikes that started flashing appeared on the bone as if asking Kyle to hit on the spots where they were flashing and in what rhythm to hit.
Kyle carried on listening to the system with every strike feeling natural and even comforting to Kyle.
After around 1 hour of hammering different items separately and even melting some of the bones in a smelter that had plasma of incredible temperature flowing inside, he then combined everything together. Kyle looked at his creation and breathed out.
There was still one last azure light on the sword's handle that indicated for Kyle to grab it. As Kyle graded the handle, the sword sparkled and lit up with azure energy. It was as if this sword was an extension of Kyle's hand, and it was as if it had meridians that were connected to Kyle's dantian directly. It was effortless to move qi into the sword and back.
With qi wrapping the sword, it became increasingly sharp with sword light was ready to be used. This was an incredible experience compared to the weapons that he has used so far. The ease with which he used the wolf fang that the system crafted was similar, but it was not nearly as easy to combine it with his qi. The sword felt like an extension of Kyle's hand.
A notification resounded.
[ Blacksmithing trait activated! ]
[ A normal item was created. ]
Kyle grasped. He felt that this sword was at least in the masterpiece if not legendary quality, compared to all other swords and weapons he saw. 'If this is not a masterpiece, then what about all the other swords that they sell in this world? Are they trash that is beyond trash?' Kyle really wanted to appraise his items to find if he had anything rare and valuable on him.
'I will name this sword an [Excalibur's Small Brother]!' Kyle thought that this name would be amazing, considering he made it on his first try.
After this Kyle wanted to use the workbench to create something else again, but he found that the white circle was now red and had a timer of 72 hours on it, signalling for Kyle to calm the heck down.
'I get it…' Kyle returned to the real world.
He had to move out eventually anyways. After hiding the entrance to the cave with leaves and twigs, Kyle set out to the lighting forest.
He already heard and felt the rumbles of lighting that were coming from the depths of the forest. At first, he thought it was still the cultivators fighting behind him, but in reality, it was the incredible lighting that kept on striking down.
As soon as Kyle got into the forest, it began raining. The rain was pouring just like it would in tropical climates and it in no way looked like it would stop anytime soon. 'Where there is lighting, there gotta be rain as well. It is only natural that I start feeling the environment in which lighting exists; this should help me understand the Lighting Step's inner workings. Kyle also felt two more things.
The air inside the forest had some type of static energy that was present everywhere. It was as if someone had tied a very thin and strong thread, and now it was on the point of snapping due to the stretch's tightness. Kyle knew that it had something to do with the lighting element, but after pondering for a bit he couldn't understand it, and he moved on.
The second thing was that when he now performed the Lighting Step in this forest, a small and barely noticeable lighting spark would appear that would push out his leg outwards each time he stepped. Even though Kyle did not have a lighting affinity just yet, it seemed that this environment was very much suitable to practice. Just as Kyle has predicted
The whole forest was pouring, and the only sound that he could hear was the rain downfall.

After travelling in the forest for a couple of hours and not seeing any alive beasts, he started to suspect what was happening. Usually, he would get attacked after a minute inside.
Kyle now saw a big black rock in front of him, it was blocking the path for him, so Kyle wanted to go over it. To Kyle surprise, when he jumped on to it, the rock started moaning and roaring in the low tone. When Kyle looked again at what he was standing on top off from the other side, he lost his ability to talk. He was standing on the ogre that was fully charred black with fire or something similar and with only yellow teeth and bloodshot eyes that were staring at Kyle.
The ogre couldn't move, and the effect of Kyle stepping on top of it was too painful for him to bear, and it seemed to die just from that. It already died because suddenly a UI with a prompt to absorb has appeared, but then after less than a second, the world suddenly froze. The lighting struck with a rumble of thunder in Kyle's ears the ogres head. This fully vaporised its body.
Kyle nearly got hit by it too but was able to jump up into the air at the last second.
Kyle was sure that this would have killed him considering that this ogre was level 3 and was this badly hurt by the lighting.
'So this forest is just as dangerous as I got told it was…' Kyle looked around to see how he can not die in this forest.
