The Game: Arcanum Ages of Valor

"6:05 now so let's get in already..." Aisa sulkily said making Ken awkwardly smile. 

'Come on now, I was trying to give you some thinking time... I didn't expect you to try and use normal day questions to tell me about the supernatural world...' Ken complained weakly in his mind as he looked at his little sister who was puffing her cheeks making her look more adorable. 

"Ok, let's go there is no point in staying here," Ken simply said making Aisa pout more. 

[I feel like you are doing this intensely to see her pout... I am not complaining, I would happily watch her puff out her cheeks~!] 

'...Shut up, I am more worried about how I should deal with those fool...' 

[Your family enemy? You can get enough system points and buy protection]

'Will do that,' 

Ken got on the VR pod logged in, and directly went into the game. 

"Welcome to the Arcanum Ages of Valor! The whole is full of dungeons and monsters with mystical lands and forbidden truths that lie at every corner. The realm where we bring the VR into Reality!"

A melodious and tomboyish voice announced as Ken appeared in a vast space right about a planet. "What you see below is the world of Vorathia the land of the Arcanum Ages of Valor! And you, my friend, will be going on your adventure here!" The speaker's voice became excited and to normal people it would be contagious but to Ken. 

"Skip," Ken casually said making the world change in his perspective. He appeared in a training ground that had few people around who were looking around excitedly, they had name tags on their heads making it clear that they were players. 

Ken's face became neutral and he walked out of that place and arrived in the streets which was what you would expect from a medieval city and it was surprisingly clean.

Ken walked through the city streets scanning everything and taking notes of the place, "Map," He called out and a screen popped up showing the city layout around him, showing a 1 km radius, and within that, there was a blue dot that was slowly moving. 

[Hmm, this feature is very useful. I wonder why they never used it properly in the anime...? I feel like the anime was more for the kids who dont know about how the world works and adults who are into dark fantasy...]

'It is. The surface of the world is a mixture of Light and Dark but... under the surface, the darkness is like an abyss, The world is more messed up than anything, you can imagine,' 

Ken darkly relied while his eyes kept on scanning the surroundings and taking notes while also checking for the blue dot.

[Hoo~!? why do you say so? As far as I am aware from the anime I watched from your memory I am pretty sure there is now just the abyss, but also a great deal of brightness that lurks over the world itself.] 

'From my memories... I dont really appreciate you going through my memories without my awareness.'

Ken frowned looking at the blue dot's direction, he took a sharp turn and with his eyes scanning every person in his sight finally located the one he was looking for.

'And yes there is an overwhelming deal of brightness but that is the cause of the darkness and the light only contends with the dark on the surface and that's in... It's just that the light isn't aware of the real darkness.'

Ken explained making the system think for a bit while he made his way onwards.

[Dont worry about it, I can't access your memory at will, what I have is from Thraxis who gave me small-time access to your memories, I only have the important bits which isn't much to go by but the majority is the anime.]

Kem nodded to the clarification as he approached a girl with long white beautiful hair following a guy who looked and was most definitely a thug...

"Aisa, you are going the wrong way," 

And of course, it was Ken's little sister Aisa! 

---Aisa's pov--- 

"6:05 now so let's get in already..." I spoke out loud my tone annoyed and pouty, which I noticed more than anything and I pouted even more. 

Ugh... I can't even sound annoyed... I will just sound like a spoiled brat... 

"Ok, let's go there is no point in staying here," My big brother simply said making me more annoyed but I held back from saying anything and got into my VR pod and logged into the mini-universe that was shared between me and Ken. 

Yes! From now on I will call you Ken!

... 

Never mind, I will still call you big brother, call you by your name sounds weird to me... 

"Log into Arcanum Ages Of Valor," I commanded making my vision change seeing a planet. If this was me from a day ago I would be really mesmerized by this but in the mini-universe, I made a lot of things and also roamed the universe so this wasn't very apeling now, plus Big Brother made a lot of amazing things with insane details and designs so I was used to it. 

"Welcome to the Arcanum Ages of Valor! The whole is full of dun-" 

"Dont want to hear it! Email me the info, and I will check it later," I cut off the voice that was likely the introduction to the lore or whatever and commanded it. 

"Eh?" 

The world literally changed in my eyes... I was floating just a moment ago and not i am on solid ground or soil... I am new to VR so I am not really used to this, i am just 21 hours into VR, so I don't know if this is normal

The world just changed in my eyes and I was now in solid soil ground, I looked around curiously in a little confusion as this kind of VR starting was a little new. Well, I just started to play VR for like... 21 hours now... so I dont really know. 

"Hmm... I am alone..." I muttered as I looked at the empty place, it was certainly a training ground of some sort. 

I wasn't interested in it so I left.

"This place is really a medieval world setting!?" The moment I walked out of the training ground I was met with a medieval city street that was very clear! 

I played a simulation of a medieval city and it was very dirty... and to see a clean place like this I was kinda hopeful that the whole city was clean. 

I looked around a bit and there weren't any people at all, well that was a given... this was probably a street that was near the city corner or something like that.

I started to walk off, just wandering around, I did have to meet Big Brother before heading my way but I am still a little upset... So I won't! 

 "Hey, girl you look a little lost there," Someone called out and I looked around for a second to confirm that I was the one who was called. 

I turned and glared at the one who called me, "Who are you calling little!" 

"Calm down, calm down... I was just curious if you were lost or something, I am headed in the same direction you were so I thought why not help you see how you looked lost, and also have a small chat,"

The man who had called out to me as little explained, I narrowed my eyes and still glared at the man I didn't like being called little by anyone... except for big brother but that is not the point here.

"The name is Butch! So, how about it? Need a guide? I am very familiar with the city layout, I know all the places you might want to go!" He said convincingly and I was convinced. 

"I am looking for the adventurer's association and the city exit," I calmed down and stated my destination, whoever this Butch is I dont really care, as long as I get to my destination. 

"Is that so then let me lead the way!" Butch exclaimed as he started to walk in a different direction from me. 

Hmm... well at least I will reach the association faster than Big Brother. 

I began to follow Butch as he lead me through the streets, we eventually arrived at a marketplace where they were selling fruits and vegetables. 

"So why are you going to the adventurer's association? Got a quest or something that needs to be done?" He asked making me feel a little strange. 

"I am going to register as an adventurer," I plainly stated as I had no need to really answer his questions, he was guiding me to the adventurer's association but that was of his own volition and I didn't ask for it... 

"Aren't you a little too young for that? Dont get me wrong, being an adventurer is cool and all but it ain't worth risking your life, a piece of advice... Blab blab" 

Blab blab blab... I was not listening, I started to look around the place. There were many fruit sellers around and all the fruits were unique, some of them I had never even seen before... not that I know any of the common fruits of this world or... BlueVail for that matter.

"Girl are you even listening...?" Butch asked as he stopped. 

"Huh?" I also paused hearing Butch, almost crashed into him but I was 4 steps behind so I was fine. "No, I stopped listening to what you said 'a piece of advice' It sounded boring so I skipped the whole," I plainly stated Butch was about to say something but 

"Aisa, you are going the wrong way," 

I heard my big brother's voice and immediately turned seeing my big brother standing a few meters away from me.

And he had a smile that was undoubtedly manacing.
