Quest completed! Association

"Kkkkke!" The goblin screamed in pain as Ken's sword plunged out of its chest.

"And that's 100," he declared and slashed at the two extra goblins that were closing in after the 100th.

[102 now, and here are your rewards~!] The system announced cheerfully.

A system screen popped up:

"The third effect is pretty handy... but I would barely use it. Also, the first effect is based on chance, I assume. There's no way a title anomaly will just give me good benefits," Ken analyzed while running to the city.

[Hmm, yep. The first effect has a 10% chance of activating and also has nothing to do with luck, so if you fight ten battles, just one will have the first effect. It's a means I added to make sure you don't dominate the whole game,]

the system explained, her tone laid back as ever.

Ken nodded, understanding what she meant, but grinned. "You underestimate me," he stated and made his way into the city and the adventurers association.

Ken reached the Adventurers Association, which was very noisy. Just from the chattering, anyone could tell that this was the beginning of the day for the adventurers.

Ken entered and scanned the place. It was a massive hall, like a typical medieval open bar. On one side, there was a counter labeled 'Starters and Quests' with two clerks.

Ken walked up to them, and in the process, he couldn't help but notice the lack of chatter and the increasing stares he was getting.

[Your god-level looks and physics is making you a target... Men will target your neck while the women will target your crouch... ] the system teased

'Not what I want to hear... but thanks, I guess...' Ken replied internally.

[It wasn't a compliment but sure... welcome...] the system said dryly.

Both the system and Ken agreed to stay silent as Ken quickened his steps. The atmosphere became hostile, but no one dared to block Ken's way. Mostly due to the invisible aura that he had around him.

Ken stopped in front of the counter where the two clerks were, one of whom was a girl who was dazed while the other was a guy who smiled awkwardly.

"Hello, how may I help you?" the guy asked, his tone professional and hiding his awkwardness well.

"I'd like to register as an adventurer. Also, please make it quick," Ken said, making the guy nod and quickly place a form on the counter with a pen. Ken filled out the form and passed it to the guy, who quickly processed it. "Do you have any experience with killing monsters?" the clerk asked.

Ken nodded in response. "Alright then, if you wish to take quests, please come to the Starters and Quests counter," the clerk explained.

Ken raised an eyebrow. "Is there no test?"

"There are, but since you already have experience with monsters and your physique speaks for itself, there's no verification required," the clerk answered.

"Here is your temporary adventurer card. Your official adventurer card will take up to three days to be completed, and within that time, you must complete at least one quest." He explained as he passed a silver card to Ken, which had 'Adventurer' written on it with strange patterns.

Well, anyone would say the same... I am sure that if you were on Earth then they would call you a bodybuilder or athlete]

Ken nodded and proceeded to leave. But this time, someone blocked his way. Ken's face instantly darkened and his demeanor changed. "What do you want?" he questioned, his hand reaching for his sword

Ken looked at the man who seemed like a troublemaker, someone who would pick on anybody. He had spiky brown hair, an annoyed face, a bulky body, and was a little taller than Ken, who was six feet tall. The man tried to tower over Ken, but it wasn't doing much.

"Tch, kid do you think you are some bi-"

Shing!

Ken drew his sword and placed it right at the man's neck, his movement smooth and fast. "And what do you think you are?" he plainly asked, making the man shiver in fright but not daring to move.

Ken sheathed his sword and left. Just a moment after he left, laughter broke out, followed by the embarrassed shouts of the man.

[Pretty lively.. but I'd rather not be anywhere near this place...] the system commented.

"You sure are lazy..." Ken muttered as he started to leave the city again, checking his equipment, which was just common clothes and a sword. "I have 1,000 System points, right? How much for a bag?" he casually asked while starting to sprint to the forest.

[Really now... I've got the most dangerous things to the most mystical and you ask for a bag... 100 System points]

The system complained but still gave the price.

"Don't feel like looking into the shop stuff, and get it" he dismissively said.

A blue bag appeared out of nowhere, and Ken grabbed it without delay and put it on. It was a plain bag made out of very smooth cloth which Ken couldn't help but notice.

[It's blood-proof and doesn't let the smell out. It's good for collecting loot,]

The system declared in a matter-of-fact tone, making Ken take a closer look at the bag.

"Well, good. I am hunting until I am dead tired," he declared while drawing his sword, but then he stopped and looked to the side. "Aisa..." And there was Aisa, with her sword out and some blood on it. She didn't notice Ken and continued on her way.

[She looks like she is doing fine] the system noted.

Ken nodded and continued on with a smile, not bothering Aisa, "She will have her own advantage and I won't be there to protect her..." he mused, his tone a little sad but also proud.
