More meditation! Mahira in VR

Ken quietly sat while he watched Eleis, who had a small smile. They had been sitting there for more than half the day now. They woke up at 8 am, and now it was 4 pm. "So you want to stop here?" Eleis asked gently as she gazed into Ken's eyes.

Eleis and Ken stared at each other, neither one speaking anymore. Their mana meditation had also stopped, and they were just holding hands now.

"No matter how I see it, you are much stronger than you let on to be, yet you are trying to make me stronger... the Skill Connection has a clear loophole that you can use anytime, yet you don't... You are much smarter and more calculative than you let on to be... but still, you try to play around... Why?"

Ken broke the silence with his inquiry, his eyes reflecting all her actions.

Eleis stared in confusion, but after a bit of thinking, she connected a few dots. She giggled, which was a melody to Ken's ears. She crawled onto his lap, wrapped her legs around his waist, and hugged his neck, pressing her body against his. She pressed her forehead against his and looked him straight in the eyes.

"Simple, you are my unrest," she answered directly and resolutely, her words absolute. Even from their connection, Ken could feel her straightforwardness making his heartbeat and his mind dwell on it.

His mind and heart thought differently, but neither opposed the other's desires.

"You know I can feel the turmoil within you," she said empathetically, as she caressed his white hair. "You know very well I am using you for my own benefit, but at the same time, you know I am doing it for you... it's complicated. I have my goals, and you have yours. You can achieve your goals without me, while I can't without you... but you already know this as well."

She softly spoke out. Ken hugged her waist and pulled her closer, "I know that already... but would it not be easier to kill me or control me? As far as I am aware, you have complete control over your magic. You lack physical mastery, but your magic mastery is on a different level."

"You need to find the answer to that~! If I tell you everything, where is the fun~?" she mischievously whispered and craftily looked into his eyes. "Let's get back to meditating," she suggested.

Ken silently agreed, "Is having more body contact better?" he inquired, and Eleis shrugged.

"Is that even a question? Of course, it's better. You already know dual cultivation exists, right? Well, those are just for cultivators. Mages and aura masters also dual cultivate. I would have suggested dual cultivation, but at our current level, it would not do much except increase the pleasure," she explained and took off Ken's shirt.

She proceeded to take off her top as well, but Ken grabbed her hands, his cheeks a little red. "Stop there... you just said dual cultivation won't do much..." Eleis paused and slyly smiled, understanding what he meant, and yoinked her top off.

Ken quickly held her hands down, but it was a bit too late. Her top had come up to her neck and was stuck on her shoulders due to him. But more importantly, what was under her top was revealed. Her round boobs jiggled lightly, and she pressed them into Ken's bare chest.

Ken resisted his desires and pulled down her top, covering her boobs. Eleis didn't resist and let him do so. She was only messing with him and knew it was the right time for it.

"Now then, let's begin~!" she announced.

"FINALLY!!!" Mahira excitedly shouted as she read a notification. The notification was about her vetting for the beta player bonus chip. She had contacted the VR community and got things prepared, but the transfer of the beta player bonus chip took time and verification.

Naturally, things should be instant, but there was no data on how she got it except for camera footage where Thraxis gave her the beta player bonus chip, and that was all.

The VR community informed her about this and an investigation was launched about her and Thraxis. Finally, after there was no result, they signed her up and made her the owner of the beta player bonus chip, finally able to play.

Mahira inserted the chip into the VR pod and quickly logged in. She had gotten the game but wasn't given the chance to play it.

She closed her eyes in excitement. Her registering was all done through the chip, so there wasn't anything she needed to do. She opened her eyes, and she was in a white room that had many items.

"Welcome, Player," a neutral voice greeted, and the room seemed to shift. Mahira started to float with all the items around, but she didn't panic and only grew more excited. "Please pick 6 items from each category."

Six orbs formed, and they rotated around her, each different in color with names written on them.

An orb stopped in front and opened up, and all the items and orbs disappeared, replaced by thousands of weapons. "First category, weapons."

Mahira looked around, a little overwhelmed by the collection of weapons. There were all kinds of weapons: swords, scythes, spears, pistols, bows, gloves, staffs, body blades, knives, bats, and much more.

"So many! I don't even know what 90% of these weapons are!" she exclaimed in excitement as she looked around, but her eyes always went to the pistols. "I will pick the pistol. I don't know how to use any other weapons, and umm... daggers, gloves, and knives are good, is that ok?" she asked as she looked at the massive collection of weapons.

"Understood," the neutral voice replied, and the weapons were replaced by armor of all kinds. "Second category, armor."

She looked around and spotted a few really questionable items. "Is that even armor... that's just a bikini, and it barely even covers anything...." she complained as she looked at a bikini with threads that would not even cover.

"Ugh... I know nothing about what is good, pick for me, also nothing flashy like that bikini."

"Understood," the neutral voice replied, and the category changed again. "Third category, accessories."

Mahira looked around. She wasn't interested in accessories at all, so this kind felt plain for her. "What are the other categories?" she asked curiously, wanting to skip this.

"Fourth Category: Skills

Fifth Category: Familiar

Sixth Category: Class."

The neutral voice directly answered without unnecessary explanation.

"Umm... the pistol is my main weapon, so pick according to that. I don't want to pick. Give me the best you got," she commanded with a grin. She already wanted to play but had to go through the beta chip bonus for that.

"Understood," the neutral voice obeyed. "Please pick a starter city." Three city maps appeared with detailed descriptions of their surroundings, but one caught her eye. It had Hido City, and it had a recommended tag on it.

"Hido City," she picked, and the map of Hido City enlarged.

"Please pick one of the properties. This will be your private residence," the neutral voice requested, making Mahira frown.

"Why are there so many steps? Can't I just skip this all and go play?" she inquired.

"Yes, you can, but if you skip, then all the choices will be according to your VR history," the neutral voice cautioned, but Mahira only shrugged.

"Why not? I don't even know half the things!" she grinned.

"Understood," the neutral voice responded.

Mahira's surroundings changed, and she appeared in a black space floating.

An in-game screen popped up.
