Ken's new weapon | Aisa in trouble?

Ken stared at a massive screen hovering over the city. It was an in-game announcement screen, but currently, it had a timer showing 1:02:52, and it was counting down.

Ken hurried his footsteps. He had just returned from a little hunt and had planned to get some supplies for a few days, but now, seeing the timer, all of his plans changed.

He headed straight to Dezmur's shop. Going through the alley and cutting corners, he walked into Dezmur's shop.

Dezmur, who was looking at the in-game screen from the window, glanced at Ken. "You came sooner than I had expected," Dezmur remarked solemnly and walked in front of Ken. "Are you a player, kid?" he straightforwardly asked. Ken nodded, as it wasn't any matter that needed to be hidden.

A moment of silence fell, soon broken by Dezmur. "I see... Tell me what you want, and be quick. We don't have much time; the event is about to start," Dezmur walked to the storage, gesturing Ken in.

"I need a good handgun and some explosive bullets as well," Ken asked as he walked into the storage. But after taking a step inside, he paused. "Dezmur, I have a question... mind answering it?" He inquired, making Dezmur look at him curiously. He nodded, agreeing to be asked.

"As far as I am aware, only the three player cities know about players and all, but what about the other kingdoms and the Empire?" Ken seriously asked.

Dezmur looked a bit grumpy about the question. "The three player cities... all three cities are victims of that sick god that planned this. I don't know if you know this, but the three cities, Hido, Ablous, and Rolious, are hidden from the world. So, no, only the three cities are aware of the outside world, while the outside world has no clue about us," Dezmur answered as he walked and grabbed a massive blue square box that was bigger than Ken.

"Don't ask roundabout questions, kid. Some people don't like players, but the majority will care for the players. Lady Siria... is one of the so-called Beta players who protects this city. There are also Beta players like her who protect the other two cities, but they do so on one condition... That condition is for the players to be treated equally and not be discriminated against," Dezmur explained, and as he did, he unscrewed the box that was really too big for a pistol.

"I see," Ken stayed quiet. He was only expecting bits of information, not a whole info dump, but this also helped him a bit.

Thud!

The front of the box opened up, and it slammed into the ground.

Ken looked inside the box in anticipation, but... surprise! It was another box! A black chest-like box. The length and breadth were 1 meter, and the height was half a meter... and this small box was inside a massive square box that was bigger than Ken.

Dezmur ripped the blue box off and then proceeded to open up the black one. Dezmur opened the box and took out a black handgun. "Here," Dezmur tossed the handgun at Ken, who caught it and tested its grip. "Know how to use one?"

"Yeah, I always keep one at home just in case. Used it a few times before, and I am pretty confident in my aiming skills," Ken replied as he popped out the bullet barrel. It was empty, but the bullet holder was shining smooth. "This is of very good quality, and the mechanics are also very smooth," Ken popped in the bullet barrel and gave the handgun a proper look.

It was a black revolver with intricately engraved, elaborate, and ornate designs on the barrel, cylinder, and handle, blending Gothic and baroque styles.

Ken smoothly played around with it, making Dezmur look in interest. "You are really good with that thing," he complimented. "This good with the gun, you should be a high class or someone in a higher position then," he guessed, making Ken turn to him.

"What makes you guess that?" Ken curiously asked as he checked the revolver with an expert's view.

"I once worked with a beta player, and I got commissioned to make a gun. He brought me a gun and asked me to study it and make one for him. He was hyped for it and was even begging me to hide the fact about him bringing a gun to this world from his, which was illegal." Dezmur began his explanation, and again it was a long one. Ken was a little bothered by Dezmur being so open but shrugged it off. "I asked him a few things, and I came to know about only people in high positions being able to keep a gun or any firearms or weapons for that matter. He is a commoner in your world and not a high position person, so he stole it," he explained nonchalantly and took out a gun from his pocket.

It was a gray handgun with blue neon lines and edgings. It also had a laser pointer.

Ken looked at the gun in surprise as he recognized it. "That is an A-301, one of the oldest models that is still used. Is this the only one you got?" Ken seriously asked, making Dezmur frown. "There are only 10 A-301s in the world, and all 10 are in my father's vault." Ken informed, making Dezmur's face darken.

"Don't get me involved in your world's politics, kid..." Dezmur grumbled.

"Huh? I won't, and you don't need to worry about it. The guns aren't that important, but you being able to make one is. If anything, I want to commission you to make a few types of bullets and guns. I will pay you right now if you want," Ken dead seriously offered, making Dezmur pause and look skeptical.

"Sure, I am interested in guns, but... these things aren't cheap. The material alone would cost up to 10,000 to 30,000 gold," Dezmur tried to reason.

"Eleis, 30,000 gold coins please."

[You got it]

A massive sack of gold appeared out of thin air and fell on the ground, making Dezmur speechless. "Hey, kid, I get you are rich and all, but guns won't get you far... after level 100, guns wouldn't be better than bows and magic... are you sure you want to?" Dezmur seriously asked, and Ken nodded. "Sigh... Give me the details about the guns you want and the same for the bullets." Dezmur gave up and looked at the sack of gold and smiled.

'Well, I am earning, so might as well.' he hyped himself up in his mind while putting the A-301 away.

"Not now. There is about to be an event. I will give you the details after the event is over," Ken stated, and Dezmur agreed and passed the black box to Ken, who took it.

"It has all kinds of bullets, including explosives. The red ones are explosive, green is poison, blue is piercing, and others are magic bullets that have the weak ice and fire spells in them. Also, the recoil is no joke in this thing. If you aren't careful, you will break your shoulder," Dezmur warned, and Ken only smiled. Ken closed the box that was full of bullets, almost overflowing, and looked at Dezmur.

"No need to pay for it. I will take the required coins from the sack," Dezmur stated and carried the sack of gold coins away.

Ken, seeing this, left as well.

---Ken resistance---

"Can I go?" Asia flatly asked as she tried to wriggle her way out of Eleis's cuddles.

"Nope~" Eleis cheerily denied as she pulled Asia closer, not letting her go at all.

Asia stared into Eleis's eyes, "Can I go?" she asked again and Eleis only smiled.

"Don't feel like it~" Eleis denied again, making Asia grumble. Asia tried to bite, but Eleis just pinched her in the ass, making her flinch and stop. "Do that again and I will also bite" Eleis sweetly whispered, making Asia's body shudder.

After a while, Eleis patted Asia's hair, "Want to go to the event? The game event should be starting in 30 minutes now," Eleis casually asked, making Asia look up at her with bright eyes.

Asia slowly nodded, not sure if Eleis was just playing with her. "Go ready up," Eleis let go of her hold, but Asia stayed there still. She cautiously got up and jumped away.

Eleis got up and looked at Asia's antics with amusement, "Hurry up, or else I am keeping you here," Eleis threatened, making Asia run to the VR pod and log in.

Eleis chuckled and disappeared.

--------

Asia appeared in front of Siria's shop. She tried to open the door, but it didn't budge. 'Why did she close today?' she unhappily questioned in her mind and went off, going through the alley and avoiding the main streets.

After a while of walking, she reached a block. "This should be here..." Asia became ready to fight, her mana boiling over. She took another alley, but that was also blocked. She always used the alley to move around the city, and now all the alleys she knew were blocked.

Asia turned around and started to head back, but at the next turn, she came across a familiar figure, someone that caused her big brother to scold her. "Butch..." Asia's face darkened, seeing him, her mind going to the day Ken scolded her.

"Yoo! It's been a while!" he happily greeted, making Asia's face darken more. She didn't like him in the least; for her, Butch was the cause of her getting scolded.

Asia frowned as footsteps sounded, making her look around. Her face darkened even more, and she gritted her teeth. She was surrounded. "God, you all are ugly..." she muttered under her breath as she felt her skin crawl from disgust.
