Emma and... a blessed one!

---Aisa's side---

"Hmm... She is late..." Aisa muttered as she leaned on a pillar.

"No, I am not~!" And right after, a little tomboyish and childish voice came from beside her.

"WAA!" Aisa jumped with her sword half drawn and looked beside her, she tried to draw her sword fully but couldn't. "Ah..? Emma? You!!! Don't scare me like that!!" Aisa shouted as she recognized the figure in front of her.

It was a girl who looked to be in her late teens, with long light brown hair, green gem-like eyes, and a pretty face with some cuteness mixed in. She wore leather armor with a sword on her belt. She looked like a tomboy knight in training.

"Hehe~! I couldn't help it, you seemed to be bored so why not!" Emma cheerfully replied as she hugged Aisa who dropped her sword. "You are still so damn cute! How is it legal to be so cute~!" Emma exclaimed while rubbing her cheeks with Aisa's.

"Umm... can you stop... please..." Aisa helplessly whispered making Emma stop immediately.

"Sorry, sorry, I got a little carried away there. Now then, you called me to play together, right~! So, let's go already~!" Emma exclaimed and held Aisa's hand but didn't drag her away.

"Yeah, but I am still level 1... And I don't know how to use a sword," Aisa confessed making Emma have an O face.

"Is that all? You can always play mage, why do you need to use a sword?"

"Mage? But I need to be level 10 to get a class right?" Aisa curiously asked while Emma started to pull her along. "Can I play Mage without the class?" She added another question but Emma only smiled.

"You haven't bought anything yet. So, if we put our coins together then we would have a title of 200 bronze coins, that should be enough to get a staff and a low-grade spell." Emma stated, leaving Aisa dumbfounded

Emma pulled the dumbfounded Aisa to a shop that looked sketchy, to say the least in an ally way

Ring ring!

The sound of a doorbell rang as they entered the place, Aisa cautiously looked around and placed her hand on the scabbard, she looked down and finally realized. Her Sword was missing. "Eh...?" She looked at Emma who was on the counter talking to a weird witch lady.

The witch-like lady seemed to be in her 20s, with long blueish-purple hair, deep blue eyes, and mage-like robes that weren't hiding her voluptuous body.

"Aisa, come here~! We got a good deal here!" Emma called Aisa in an excited tone while grinning, "Siria said she would even teach you a spell for free!"

"yes yes, you only have to let me pinch those soft and smooth cheeks~!" Siria the witch said with a bit of drool leaked from her mouth. And the next moment a small wind seemed to pick up and the drool was gone.

"Wait what!? NO!!! Absolutely NOO!!!" Aisa shouted backing off immediately and tried to open the door but the door was locked. Aisa robotically looked back at Emma who was in turn looking at Siria with a hopeless face.

"Dont take her seriously... she is a little of a lolicon..." Emma muttered and then

Slap!

Emma slapped the back of Siria's head. "Let me introduce you to Siria, one of the 10 beta players, and one of the few VR game legends of our time, the one and only Siria Grandheart!! The queen of VR gaming~!!!!" Emma grandly presented Making Aisa feel awkward as she continued trying to open the door

"Oh my, stop that you are embarrassing me~!" Siria embarrassed said while getting up.

"Umm.... can you open the door..." Aisa meekly asked.

"Pft..." Emma tried her best to hold her laughter while Siria was frozen in place. "Dont worry about her she is always like this, but she means good~!" Emma light-heartedly reassured making Aisa a little relaxed but still on guard.

"Sigh... sorry for making you uncomfortable, I just like everything when it's cute..." Siria apologized while bowing down.

10 minutes later.

"So, I just hold the staff and chant... and that's all?" Aisa curiously asked as she looked at the staff on her hand quizzically.

"Yep," Siria simply answered while standing behind her.

they where in a training ground with many wooden dummies and targets, this was behind the shop and was a very open place.

"Ok, then.... I will try" Aisa mumbled and then pointed the staff at one of the dummies.

"Arrow of light" Aisa chanted and then an arrow made out of pure light condensed in front of her staff and launched.

swoosh!

"Wow~! That is really strong! You have a very high level of affinity," Siria nodded and narrowed her eyes. "Hey Emma, I have an armor in the storage, go and try it, if it fits then you should keep it." She said while pointing at the storage.

Emma's eyes sparkled and she immediately rushed.

Aisa frowned as she looked at Siria who had been staring at her with narrowed eyes, "I didn't think I would meet a fellow blessed one," Siria remarked making Aisa widen her eyes, "Dont worry about me trying to kill you or anything, I am no longer a player so it would be pointless" She stated making Aisa confused but her guard was raised to the fullest.

"What do you mean... you are a blessed one as well?" Aisa questioned as she pointed the staff at Siria who giggled.

"~Teehee~ Let me explain, I am a bate player. And to be a Beta player you need to sign a contract. They give you two options,

1: Be a part of the game and keep all the levels, items, pets, and all.

2: Be a player but lose all of them."

Siria explained simply, and Aisa nodded. "What does that have to do with the blessing?" Aisa asked, and Siria smiled.

"The blessing was given 7 years ago yet you still haven't unlocked its 4th benefit.... well it doesn't matter much," Siria remarked with amusement while taking a seat mid-air.

"In simpler terms, to partake in the blessed game, you must be designated as a player, and for the game... there are 10000+ participants. This is a game that has been going on since 7 years ago since the blessing was first given. In this game, kill or be killed. I prefer to obtain from kill so I chose not to be a player. You don't have to worry about it, you need to unlock the 5th stage of the blessing to participate, also other than me none can tell you are a blessed one until you reach the 5th stage." She explained about the game while looking at Aisa who was really confused and a little scared now.

"What do you mean by.... kill?" Aisa glared into Siria's eyes and gritted her teeth.

"Sweetheart... this isn't a game... it's a planet in our galaxy, this isn't a game for us blessed ones, it is a reality. The moment you enter the VR pod, you get teleported to his world, so this is reality and you are very naive for this world... I have taken a liking to you, so I am helping you... but if you get into the hands of those slave traders of anyone for that matter you will never be able to return... and I don't want to see that happen!" Siria gritted her teeth while she looked into Aisa's eyes with sadness, anger, care, and many mix of emotions.

Aisa flinched, lowering her staff, "I..."

"No, don't. It's better if you only keep what I say in mind... and never ever fall into the hands of those noble or slave traders... you look are something those nobles would desperately want so they will do anything to get their hands on you," Siria warned while she took out a pendent, "Here," she said and it floated to Aisa who caught it.

"Keep it with you all the time, it's something that will help you," Siria stated while looking in the storage direction.

Aisa looked at the pendant and admired it for a while, it was a silver pendant with a a crystal that shined in all colors.

"Woho!! I finally got it on!!" Emma burst out of the storage with excitement, wearing a green armor and a green sword that looked very fitting for her. "What do you think? How do I... look...?" Emma's excitement died down as she felt the awkward and depressing atmosphere around Aisa and Siria, "What happened when I was gone...?" She seriously asked while glaring at Siria who looked away.
